Anybody here live in Land of Enchantment?
We're looking to relocate there in a few years and are doing some research.
One requirement I have (so I can work) is high speed internet with the lowest acceptable is 200/200. the upstream is critical.
There seems to be a fair amount of fiber available in towns there, but not too much outside of town.
Any recommendations of affordable, safe, etc, etc, etc place. (The immediate ABQ area is not on the list either)

I was a left coaster for 20 years and came back east for family proximity. So now we're looking in the four corners area at small cities with gigabit availability. I was at 4 corners for a family trip in 1994. There was a whole lot of nothing around there from what I recall.
Has there been much of a change since then?

So now we're looking in the four corners area at small cities with gigabit availability. I was at 4 corners for a family trip in 1994. There was a whole lot of nothing around there from what I recall.
Has there been much of a change since then?
I don't really know if it's been built up much or not. Farmington is the biggest place around and that's about 50K people. The wife likes the idea of NM, AZ, CO or UT. I can work as long as I have good upstream bandwidh (minimum 200Mb/sec) I'm okay with a rural-ish setting since I grew up in Pennsyltucky and used to live in AK so small town/middle of nowhere won't be a big surprise to me. Anyhow, we're probably about 2 years out the whole thing assumming stable job/real estate market, etc. We're planning on a road trip at some point maybe early summer to get a feel for a few places. |
