I feel like this is an event that most folk can only really get something out of, once... or, at most, twice.
I don't even acknowledge it anymore.

Ok, question, how do we do the task of inviting 5 friends? It cant be just sending out an invite via the in-game controls. I tried that by sending a link to my work cell and it didn't work. Does the recipient have to install the game?
IDK if I even have 5 friends I can send a link to. Heck, I introduced MA here...too bad that doesn't count!

If you have a second device, install MA on it, get up to division 10 (like 4 games or so). Then send a referral link to yourself (using either device). Accept yourself as frd, and that counts as +1 on both devices. Unfriend yourself, rinse and repeat 4x, you're done. The backend does not track a history of previous frd requests, so you can do it w/ the same alternate device or frd 5x. |

Looks like all the events are getting the same challenges of upgrading the rank of mech or weapons. This will require completing all other challenges in the events to complete them. Many of these events are also getting the upgrade the level of mech or weapons challenge as well which will prevent us that have gotten to the upper ranking of everything to no longer be able to get the final prize. This is often A-Coins.
My guess is that they are trying to help along the newer players to help populate the battles with real players but it is still frustrating to not be able to complete events. Need something for top players to fight for even if it is special skins or something else yet to be dreamed up.

For me personally, I get impatient and the event payouts aren't really that significant (relative to how much A-coins I've got stashed and how much it costs me to level/rank things up), so I just level things up whenever I can. But I wouldn't suggest you upgrade garbage gear just for the sake of completing the event. I've seen youtubers do this, and I always leave a comment saying that's a bad idea. |

Basically going F2P now, so have a strict upgrade path that uses all my resources and can't really afford to spend randomly. That's why I eventually had to start skipping these upgrade tasks, doesn't pan out.

I just focus on getting the 50 marks. You can get those with just opening chests and the 5 referrals. I'd saved up my chests for this reason, so I got the 50 marks in a snap. 375 A-coins is nice for so little effort. The next milestone is unattainable for me but it's just a gold chest anyway, so no big loss.

Yep, I'll be doing just this going forward too. 375 a-coins is a good incentive for minimal investment in time. What concerns me a bit more though is that they've started tying upgrade tasks into other non-related events. Those 2 upgrade tasks in the Ares even were crap. Thankfully, I had some rank ups that I'd been planning and was ready to do, but otherwise, I would have missed it. That's not a good trend IMO. |

I skipped the Ares specialization event for the most part. I got what I could but there's no way I'm gonna kill my thumbs playing a mech I don't really like anymore.
