This morning I decided to map out each month's Hangar for the whole year.
Jan - Vityaz, Raven, Rhino, Butch, Hellburner. Nodens
Feb - Destrier, Ao Guang, Leo, Rayker, Stalker. Ao Ming.
Mar - Golem, Cossack, Natasha, Invader*, Blitz*. Arthur.
April - Fury, Ao Jun*, Haechi*, Jesse, Gary. Kid.
May - Schutze, Falcon, Bulwark*, Fujin, Phantom*. Minos.
June - GI Patton, Mercury, Bulgasari*, Mender, Ravana*. Nodens.
July - Carnage, Inquisitor, Hades*, Raijin, Gepard. Ao Ming
Aug - Boa, Specter, Ares*, Tyr, Pursuer. Arthur.
Sept - Vityaz, Hover, Cerberus*, Doc, Kumiho. Kid.
Oct - Destrier, Ao Qin, Behemoth*, Nightingale, Strider. Minos.
Nov- Fury, Griffin, Nemesis*, Weyland, Bolt. Nodens.
Dec - GI Patton, Rogatka, Fendeer, Leech*, Loki. Ao Ming.
I like variety and I wanted to make sure I played with all the toys, (and there's a lot) through the whole year.
A year ago I started the Monthly Hangar and it works for me.
I have a true legacy bot, a fast/light bot, a fly bot, a healer/spider bot and a tanky/shield/ magic sorcery aura bot.
The asterix denotes a bot that still needs upgrading to L9. (my cap on anything other than Legacy)
I only upgrade bots I'm running for the month. If I get another new bot I'll shuffle one out and slide in the fresh one.
How do you choose your Hangar? Do you map it out in advance? Do you have predefined spots?

Jesus man! You're gonna wait a whole year to play Rog!?
I like what are you doing there, commitment and planing are hitting the ceiling!
i love variety also, currently have 15 fully equiped bots, mostly lvl 9 and 4 titans. I used to have 3 war ready hangar decks, but left that philosophy, i just swap in my no1 deck what i feel like playing at any given time. Rog, Strider, Hover, Raven, Falcon and other legends...
There is so much awesome bots, now I'm thinking about swapping in my Taran Haechi, only can't decide who's getting benched, damn, hope my bots won't hold a grudge...

I only really swap out one position. My two Ravens, Cerberus, and Nightingale are pretty much always in play. But I have a spot where I rotate in Hades, Ao Jun, Leo, and maybe Ghost Rog on rare occasions.

I'm running my Rog now and love it. But there's a plan in play. By the end of next year all the other bots will be L9 and all my weapon groups will be at a good level for maximum rotation. I'll probably move to a bi weekly or weekly change out system.

A whole year! That’s some real discipline. My hangar changes anywhere from multiple times a day to once a week, and upgrades are planned for only 1 or 2 weeks. And even then upgrades get sidetracked easily. Like I was maxing 4 Gekkos for Ao Qin or Blitz, which is actually a month or more long plan but then I won that new spider bot so had to level that some, then back to Gekkos, then I won an Atomizer and leveled that then back to Gekkos, etc. Eventually I finished the Gekkos, but all the playing of them while upgrading them got me Gekko’d out so they haven’t even been in my hangar since maxed. Now I’m working on maxing a Rogatka, about 3 days away from that and don’t know what will be upgraded next. Maybe Magnums, maybe a Sting, maybe Tarans, idk, whatever strikes me at the time.
I usually go for what upgrade will have the most movement. I like coming in each day and seeing an upgrade done and being able to start another, hence the focus on tier 1 items like Gekko and Rog. Other than that I don’t have any long term plans because battles are so disjointed it doesn’t really matter. Just get things to useable levels, play what’s fun, and put any extra resources into maxing tier 1 or possibly tier 2 items.

I have a rough plan of short term and long term projects that mix between my main hanger for Champions League squad play and 2 semi-whatev hangers - small map and large map. All hangers (even my on-deck project hanger) have a Classic Falcon in em.
The current priority is a maxed Nucleon Falcon and I’m saving gold in case I get Serious Sam.
On deck projects include building a level 1.9 trolling Gauss Falcon to replace/augment Tempest Falcon and a 1.9 Pulsar Rava.

I have 5 hangars and, currently, 183 bots. With the exception of the Ivory Ravana I just won (was hoping for a weapon, I don't use the Ivory Ravana I already have!) they are all between L6-9. Well, except for the five maxed Vits.
I use 4 hangars for the MM and the 5th for 6Pack. I'm trying to solidify hangar 1 so I can squad with my nephew but the other 3 are all out flexible and change often.
I'm considering dedicating one of the hangars to running your flavor of the month this year, looks like fun! I don't have all the bots you have (a LOT of my collection is trying to have a full set of five of every 6Pack legal bot) like your Ares but I figure I could always sub in something that is similar in function.

I saw this as the only way to play all my bots. I've got a Leech last Xmas and this is the first time I've played one. Same with Loki. Ares, Hades, Behemoth and Ravana haven't seen the light of day and still have that new bot smell.

I have no idea how you can be that disciplined or organized. My hat is off to you. Great idea though. I will rotate bots in and out daily sometimes. Sometimes trying to get that “perfect” setup. Sometimes just to give all the bots some love. Sometimes just to see if I can make a crap setup glow like the morning sun. All in the name of fun though.

It was only way I could show all the bots some love and as you said make a crap setup glow like the morning sun. I started doing this a year ago so I could focus on base upgrading my gear and it worked. I've slowly formalised it and before i knew it i had planned out 8 months. Keeps the upgrades focused, cuts the boredom and keeps it fun for me.

Nice work. What are your thoughts on the Goon Rhino? I think it's the only build I haven't tried. I'm running mine in classic Punisher/Tulu mode. Love the splash. Avenger Butch has been ok. Avalanche Shredder Vityaz has been wicked good. Hellburner has been my meh bot. Just don't dig it. Chimera/Spiral kinda worked for a troll. Got Nuke and Gust waiting for a Quantum to finish baking. Tesla Falcon is my go to first drop and has been great fun.

What I like about the Goon Rhino is the survivability vs Hawks and the reach when it comes to Ming Time. That second kill was accomplished shield up vs some sort of scourge bot, I couldn't quite make it out. I've run the stock config in the past and liked it too.
I too don't really have a feel for the Hellburner, plus mine is only L6, and so I'll either keep it as is for beacon contesting or perhaps outfit it with some type of harassment weapons.
Currently I've got the Butch running my Nucleon and Viper pairs. It fragged an Inquisitor of all things but the 500m range puts it in harms way all the time in the current MM. I might just swap the weapons so that it's a Two Face bot. One Nucleon paired with a Viper on both mounts and swap out whenever the Viper runs dry to keep up constant fire.
The Vityaz is piloted by my favorite pilot, best named in all of War Robots, Wang Fang Huang. She's a Major and pushes it's HP up 25%, speed up 7.5%, weapons up 5% and mechanic. She also has Knight Errant but that was when I only has one light flamethrower. I'm not paying to reroll it. Didn't get to use the Vit in the game.
The Raven I'm undecided on. Will need more matches to see if I stay with the infinity guns or swap them out.

Butch is a strange beast. The sling cooldown doesn't seem to match any weapon magazine capacity. Tempest Zenit has worked for me in the past. I might go back to it. Hellburner can go to hell. I did get a wrapage though and when you get used to the boom you can use it in different ways. Just got mine to the L9 cap. See how I get used to it by the end of the month to draw my full conclusion.

I swapped the Hellburner to Calamity/Spark and it's a whole new ballgame, though I still don't really like it I am now doing damage and getting kills. Yeah, the Infinity Raven is just not doing it for me. I should be able to sparky it up though with only L6 weapons. I did the Two Face adjustment to the Butch. I like it a lot better than the Nucleon OR Viper approach. The Butch is fun in 6Pack where in addition to Trebs it actually does quite well with Tridents or even Zeus. When the environment is plasma heavy, it's like a slightly slower, much tougher Carnage that can periodically slam out a double salvo.

Tee hee, I do love when Reds underestimate the Vit. A 12mk2 Vit with the double armour skill handles quite the punishment. I feel it has a small hit box too. I might give the plasma build a go. I've never used that one before.

My current March hangar. Really the only thing that I've changed around is the Natasha, it started out running the goon family with a random flux thrown in. This is more fun. The hangar as a whole is doing surprisingly well with the Invader even wracking up a Wrampage. None of the pilots have any skills to help the bot they are running. They're just the only pilots I have that have yet to max out their current skill. With the exception of Wang Fang Huang I stopped promoting my pilots after the rework. Her though? She gets to be colonel.

Gauss/Arbalest was pretty good after a week I got tried of it and I'm running a go to build, the Palpatine Natty Spark/Calamity.Unlimited Power Blitz has been my Wrampage bot with good lasting ability at times. 500 Rocket Golem is a good build shame about some mobility bugs.
