What say ye? Have Pix found yet another way to be complete douchbags? Sure, it’s probably no more unfair / unfair than their usual rigged bull dump, but this little ‘twist’ really does reveal them as the gutter dwelling low life’s they’ve always aspired to be. How can this do anything other than harm their already poor reputation? Either the player gets what they feel they deserve after all the crap they’ve endured lately, or they don’t and get even more pissed off. Either way, no ones going to be inspired to spend!

The annoying thing for me is that each time all of my cards have been identical. I don't even have a chance to get a "better" prize. I've only open 3 of the 200 crates so far so maybe another chest is doing something different but its been a pile of horse 「dookie」.
Do I want 500 Havoc pieces, 500 Havoc pieces or 500 Havoc pieces? Tough choice.

It’s the illusion of randomness.

It's pretty obvious it's a ruse. They stopped hiding the fact that all these side "games" are rigged a while back and now they just wave it in our faces....... Special prize in 3, 2, 1... Yeah right.
I can't wait for the option to double down or go all in with my tokens.

It’s the illusion of randomness. It’s the reality poor PR and of mean spiritedness.

OK - I am not going to say it is not bull but in three spins I received 500 Havoc, a Havoc and the legendary Typhon pilot! I only hope that when I get to the special prize spin that I get the Typhon. My guess is it does not matter what card you choose - you get the predetermined prize. It is only an illusion that you are picking one of the three available. Just my cynical thoughts even though I have had good luck so far.

For a while I was thinking the card game was a battle of reaction times... but eventually I got the other prize. Yeah, it sucks, but I'm wondering what will happen when I get the 「dookie」 box.

When you click on a event token Chest they flash up the items you might win. Then the cards flip over and you pick one at random.

There's a gambling mechanic in Poker Machines that make it out as though you have won even when you have half lost. It becomes a psychological win.
Ok I've saved my tokens what am I gonna win?
Goes to hit the button,
Gets a bit of a dopamine rush.
Hits the button.
The three cards narrow the odds and flip over. Cool I might win that.
A little more dopamine.
Selects card. Prize.
Might not in the end be what you want but you got a few hits of dopamine one of the most addictive drugs around.

Little hits of dopamine keeping you coming back for more. Luckily this did not seem to trigger that feeling for me. Three reasons for this I think. 1. Pix be pix. Going to get what they want you to get for whatever their reasons. No way around that. 2. And this is what I used to tell my kids: You get what you get and you don’t get upset. 3. I am very cognizant of those feelings and I never want them to take over again. When I feel like I am “chasing”. I put the game down for a period of time.

Nice to know you don't get those same feeling within the game. It saddens me that some people can't get away from gambling because it's insidiously entered many more facets of life than just a poker machine or the horses. Now it's within computer games and constantly drummed into us watching sports on tv. Poker Machines and sports betting is a massive social issue in Australia.
