It lags and stutters and those 「fluffernutter」ers at Pixo HQ never tried to solve this and they never will. I mean, it's almost 2021 and there are ZERO major multi player games with a THAT BAD performance. Why do you guys still tolerate this?
It's full of bugs.
Remastered was promised to solve performance/battery/heat issues. Lag is still there. War Robots is still battery eating.
Match making never was fixed and never will be fixed.
The scheme of selling item A which is superior to other items and later nerfing it to average, they're doing this 「dookie」 for years and it will never change. Why do you allow this 「dookie」ty company to do this to you? For what reason?
It's no tactical shooter. It's overpowering others by making use of your VISA card. It's boring. Like eating McDonalds every day.
I guess I haven't played this piece of 「dookie」 since two months or so. Still looking what's new here on the forums a few times per week. And wondering, why you, despite all of the above, still continue playing. If you played some games on PC, console or other mobile games, where graphics are a smooth 60 or more FPS and lag virtually doesn't exist, it's hard to understand why one would play a game like Lag Robots.
「fluffernutter」 Pixonic.

I think that it's a testament to how good the old base game was that people still enjoy some aspect of it. Me, I've moved on to Mech Arena for now and am happier for it. I tried to pick up War Robots again, and the laggy main screens drove me bonkers. Plus, I'm really liking the free look that I have in Mech Arena, and I don't know if I can ever go back to War Robots, even if they do fix all the performance problems for that reason alone.

Heeeey, eating McD every day can't be boring But, yeah, you're spot on, I don't play much. Lately as soon as the first lag causes me to lose a bot, I just simply leave the game, and in most cases don't resume that day... I just go watch TV. Or play with myself.

Base game was excellent. I mean, there's a reason why I played War Robots since 2016. But from my point of view, most of that is gone. Remember corner shooting? Trade off between firepower/size and speed? Nowadays, even huge bots are super fast. I remember running around in my Stalker, running circles around the larger bots that had more firepower, but were way slower. War Robots took the 「dookie」 route regarding many aspects of the game.
The old War Robots core game which was addictive to me and lots of other players is gone, it's as simple as that. And yes, I agree, even Mech Arena has better gameplay even though I mainly play BoT which gained a lot of players since the past weeks. Two months ago, I hardly would get any human players in BoT. Now, I even get 8 vs 8 matches which are epic. I'm glad BoT still exists, even though it's probably not a huge success, regarding revenue. I feel you - when a game even has lag when moving through inventory, it's pathetic. Almost forgot about the fixed lock in War Robots. Incredible that such games exist.

Hehe, I had three times McD in 2020 and I'm happy with that. When I was young, I usually would eat McD or Burger King two or three times a week.
Aside from playing with yourself, which is surely more enjoyable than War Robots, you could explore other gaming options. But yes, I agree. They 「fluffernutter」ed this up over years and never fixed anything which is unbelievable, given creating games ain't a new thing. Thousands of companies are doing it, yet Pixo struggles to fix basic bugs or lag.

I've tried BoT several times and just can't get into it. I even got the Coromant the last time I tried it. First, it was almost impossible to get a game, and then when I did get a game, I found the gameplay too clunky for my taste. And, the distance scaling is just weird for me, like how something could appear to be a tiny speck and suddenly be in your face...it really threw me for a loop.
Mech Arena isn't the answer to all my prayers, but for now, it's fun. There is a lot of skill involved in the game, and the mechanics are pretty balanced. There's a lot of room for improvement of course, but heck, it's still in Beta, so the jury's still out.
War Robots remains my first mobile game love and it was hard to watch it go downhill (in my eyes). But, my wife made a comment the other day about how less frustrated I'd been. I guess my frustrations with the game had been bleeding over into real life and I never really noticed.

I still enjoy the game. I rarely experience lag but it is frustrating when it occurs. The only lag I have all the time is that I lag the meta! I really do not want to restart another game so will probably stick with this game until I decide to quit mobile games. I do split my gaming time with Destiny 2 on the PlayStation.

I still play War Robots because it is still fun. About a year or so ago it started to get super laggy and difficult to play. Last Christmas I went out and bought a new phone. Now it works fine. I have been playing for a few years. It is so much more SciFi with all off the stuff that some bots can do. But I still find it amusing, so I still play.

War Robots remains my first mobile game love and it was hard to watch it go downhill (in my eyes). But, my wife made a comment the other day about how less frustrated I'd been. I guess my frustrations with the game had been bleeding over into real life and I never really noticed. To me, BoT is like wine: Gets better over time. Way back, I played the BoT beta or even alpha, I can't remember. While I thought, that the game looked very good and played very smooth, I just didn't like it. Now, I have played 1200 matches and I still discover new strategic possibilities or other combinations for my Titans. Recently, I discovered the joy of playing a very small and fast Titan which would have a very small radar footprint, rendering it "invisible" to other players, while at the same time, I would install radar enhancement module on my small Titan, so I could attack other titans from a very far distance.
The modules you can add to your Titan or to your weapons enable such a huge pool of possibilities and different styles of play, which I highly enjoy. The diversity in BoT doesn't depend on a huge number of maps or weapons or Titans, but on the possibility of combination and of actually creating just THAT ONE TITAN you want. This makes this mecha shooter stand out for me, above every other mobile robot shooter there is. When I change configuration of my weapons, the whole Titan feels and plays different, even when I use the very same weapons, but with different modules.
When you raise "league" in BoT, gameplay gets very fast, War Robots fast. There are some Titans which are capable of insane speed and, as you can move up onto mountains and into the air, it's a true 360 degrees 3D shooter. Cormorant works for me, depending on situation and loadout. It's a Titan which is hard to master. I have mine all T2 bot and weapons and I intend to push it to T3 level. That's another thing for me, which makes BoT great: One currency, no upgrade times. During the last two weeks, we had double EC event. I usually got 500K EC per match, so even playing just 100 matches would enable me to do tons of upgrades, while playing 100 matches in War Robots would give me some silver and some gold and I could maybe upgrade a weapon from level 11 to 12, as the cost is extremely high. What I'm trying to say is, that playing BoT feels like I get rewarded for playing and even more rewarded for giving 100%, while playing War Robots won't get me anywhere, as the age of where we could grind to everything is simply gone. I have all T2 weapons and Titans in Bot, some T3 weapons or modules, and I haven't spent one cent on the game which I will probably do, as I want to give them credit for creating that incredible game.
I will return to Mech Arena though, as I found the 10? hours or so, that I played it, very enjoyable. Good graphics, no lag and even on older devices decent performance. Mech Arena is, in its beta status, way smoother than War Robots ever was. Those MA guys are doing a great job.
"But, my wife made a comment the other day about how less frustrated I'd been. I guess my frustrations with the game had been bleeding over into real life and I never really noticed." Yes, agreed. That's where you have to detach yourself and move away from a game. No game should have a longer lasting influence on how you feel in your real life. They're just games, after all. Anyway, I'd recommend you give BoT another chance. It's full of things to discover and when you move up the ranks, matches get very hard but are balanced. Also, there's very few AI players now, as usually you would play a 4 vs 4 or even 8 vs 8. If you get one of the latter, you feel like you're playing Star Wars or something. Feels great.

Getting top level equip in BoT takes your 1200 matches, zero dollars and is a lot of fun.
Not all mobile games are bad.
Ah, Destiny 2. Have it in my Steam as it was free at some time. Is it any good?

Absolutely yes. And for a bunch of reasons: Time invested. Addiction. “Largeness“ of the war robots universe. The challenge it is to overcome both your adversaries and pixonic. Lol. The mech shooter it was and is (albeit changed drastically). Fun. Fun. Fun.
Yes it is fun for me. Even with all the BS. Look, I understand people leaving this game. I too took a break. But I needed to adjust my perspective and once I came back I feel much better about the game in general. But that is how I dealt with it. That may not work for others.
I have to thank the six pak people for helping me out upon my return. It gave me a way to play the way the game used to be. It was how I stepped back in. Less nonsense and lots of laughs. Lag and bugs still there yes. But we have the old style fun. I recommend looking it up and participating. Would be nice if pics would add that mode to the game. I believe it would be highly popular.
War robots is like a marriage to me: All encompassing and fully satisfying(good and bad) But lots of work for sure.
Other games have been like a mistress: You get what you want, but missing something.
That’s my take on it. Please don’t hate on me for my view.

Compared to pretty much every other hugely known multi player game out there, War Robots lags a lot. That's why I was mentioning huge War Robots Youtubers who have the latest hardware for playing the game, yet, they still lag.
Of course, War Robots "works fine". But it's not enjoyable with their network issues. Watch this game play video I recorded on my not so great PC. Watch it in 1920*1080@60FPS. That's how a lag free game looks like and that is, how modern mobile games look like on phones. PUBG Mobile had 60 fps and no lag for years. COD mobile, too.
War Robots still lags. No matter the hardware.

I echo the OP.
I stopped my main account when 6.0 dropped... after already being on a break due to the mad performance issues. I thought some of the issue was my gear, so after I had to replace my ISP and internal network for other reasons, I ended up getting a new phone, too. This was right when 6.0 dropped, so I thought I would try it out again since there was nothing left in my house that I could blame performance issues on... worst lag yet. Remastered was no better... in fact, it was worse.
I have tried it from a smurf account a few times since then, and it's at least playable now, after a few patches, but it's still nowhere near smooth. MA (which I am playing a lot for me, but still at very casual levels) is like a greased pig sliding down a water slide... while War Robots is like tumbling down a flight of stairs.
I haven't logged into the smurf account in a week... and don't intend to. Too close to my competition having Titans and meta gear while my poor little account is nowhere near it. And the amount of work you have to do to get anything upgraded is just not practical for a casual player... and things are far too expensive to supplement with a few dollars now and then.
No, Pixo had me from June-ish 2016 to this year. Even now I would have normally found a way to enjoy it as I always had... if not for one realization. I realized that not once have they ever made me feel like they wanted to keep me as a customer... and that is what finally drove me away after all this... the lack of 「fluffernutter」s given by their team.

I still play and largely enjoy myself. A huge part of that is that I have never once given a 「dookie」 about my league standing (dating back to Jan 2017 when Pix was announcing how the leagues would work) and for the longest time capped my bot and weapons levels at 6 for the new component gear.
6 Pack has been since Nov 2017 and remains the cornerstone of my enjoyment. It brings it all back and, even now, hangars and load outs continue to change and adjust where people have proclaimed that it would all stagnate. It hasn't and we have a blast playing.
So, yeah, the leagues mean nothing, thus no pressure, and I can just get on with having fun.

Been playing since Feb 2016 and so find it enjoyable.
Haven't paid a cent.
Couldn't give a 「fluffernutter」 about lag.
Couldn't give a 「fluffernutter」 about P2W.
Couldn't give a 「fluffernutter」 about leagues.
Couldn't give a 「fluffernutter」 about meta.
Couldn't give a 「fluffernutter」 about the nerf cycle.
Couldn't give a 「fluffernutter」 about Pix' but really dislike their gambling mechanic as I care about others that have gambling issues.
I really just couldn't give a 「fluffernutter」. It's a bit of fluff to fill in the time. Still gets my heart racing at times. Still gives me a smile.

OP says he left two months ago.
I wonder if, like me, drones were the straw that broke the camel's back.
Lately I find myself playing Shadowguns but when I need a giant robot fix I play BOT.
About a month ago I tried a War Robots skirmish. I quickly got Insta killed by a Scorpion and was like "Right. This is why I stopped playing."

ãfluffernutterã Pixonic.
I don't get the lag so many others complain about. On occasion I'll see someone lag and move across the screen (obvious lag) but that's the exception to the rule.
Most of the things you're complaining about were things that bothered me when I was really invested in either climbing the league ladder or in the outcome of the match (winning). I reoriented my priorities toward my FU Hanger and just having fun trying out different builds. I finally accepted that the game isn't what it was and is "morally" bankrupt (referring to Pix's refusal to fully address the bugs, performance, MM, etc). I don't play with drones. Sure, they make things more OP, but how is that really any different than the next Godbot or OP weapon? It isn't. When your game is just being a mosquito in the ear of somebody bigger and badder than you, it doesn't make any difference how big or nasty your opponent is. You get swatted either way. If you piss them off in the meantime that's just Mission: Accomplished to me.
I'm having fun playing the game my way. In a way, I think it's similar to what BB does with his hanger setups.
Besides, this year has been a total 「dookie」show. Since January I've been putting in a lot more hours in my job and in a concentrated manner than before. We've had expenses like we haven't seen since we've been married, we had to put our dog down, two family members diagnosed with serious cancer in the last month, and my grandmother is dying. I'm enjoying War Robots in a different way than I have since I started playing Walking War Robots. If I spend ~$20 a month on it, it's not hurting anyone, and I'm getting some enjoyment so be it.
Unfortunately, the Forum is quieter than before. That said, there are others that are still seeming to find their enjoyment, too. The community is still a good one.
