Hi all,
so i’m running bulwark lvl10 with lvl12 redeemers for some time now (month+) and at first it was super but now that i’m hovering around Champions League it rly sucks. I have 3 fortifiers, 1 max and 2 lvl1, ph. Shield skill T3, generator skill T2. Alternating between jump unit and AH. AH is better imo bc the bot dies so fast.
Is this what it is or is there something i’m not considering? I know it is not a brawler so try to take care face forward and position myself before the enemy. On verge to take it out bc often1 round of redeemers is what it does before dying. I get the feeling the physical shield is bugged on this bot, bc it seems inconsistent. One time can absorb 2 hawks next time immediately dies. Lag could be a cause but I don’t think so or it is super subtle.
Any ideas welcome. Really had some fun with it but it is as weak as my lvl9 Raven, only the aegis is nice while it lasts.

My favorite bulwark build was, if you have them, 2 vipers. Redeemer and avenger are close to me too.
If you have a maxed fortifier, maybe swap one of the level1 forts for a heavy armor kit? I tried all fortifier, all Heavy Armor Kit, and combinations of both and personally I switched to 2fortifier 1 Heavy Armor Kit and use phase shift as my module.
I have the legendary pilot so it helps with phase shift. What are your pilot skills?
I must have crazy electrician Armor Physical shield expert
See if you can get the 5%armor skin Every bit helps.
I hate saying this but play him mid-range for more life. Also use phase shift when you need to reload your aegis. If you must.

I run a Redeemer Bully in low Champs. Mk II 12 2 x Maxed Fortifier 1 x Thermonuclear Reactor Standard Pilot Energy Shield Expert Physical Shield Expert Crazy Electrician Road Hog Armor Expert Mechanic Master Gunsmith
Bully probably benefits from additional levels more than any other Bot. If you plan to brawl with it, you really do need to max it out.
Even so, it's a challenge; Bully is NOT a true tank (compared to T-Falc and Fenrir), but that Aegis is incredible for longevity if you're careful.
Learn to use your mobility and cover, watch out for Titans and Hawks, and you can make it work.

Use Avalanche with bulwark. They are perfectly matched. 2+ million damage with that one bot is common for me. Bulwark is not good with redeemers or avengers because you have to get too close imo. It's a mid range bot and with avalanche it is very difficult to take down if you keep your distance and play smart.

I run a maxed Bulwark with MK2-3 Nucleons and 3 maxed fortifiers. I highly encourage you to max it out, you won’t be disappointed. You will run into the occasional maxed hawk or Ao Jun that would melt any bot so don’t worry about that. Pilot skills are also very important. The bulwark seems to be a pretty safe investment, not so overpowered that you would have to worry about a future nerf but is far from underpowered and can be a heavy hitter in Champions League for someone who has the skills.

Love my Bully, as others have said levels levels levels and fortifiers. I switched from Avengers to Embers recently as an anti-Arthur measure lately, but in general I think 500m is a good sweet spot. Avengers, Vipers, and Nucleon all make for good Ming slaying. I guess even Avalanches (really spartan44 Are they worth leveling?) Gives you some range so that you can get the shield recharged under cover. Redeemer can hit hard, but 350 is a tough place. Lockdown ammo is your friend, especially with Modulative Intensifier so you can control the range and hit harder while they're frozen. ARK is ok, but if you are taking hull damage you're already in trouble. As far as the physical shield goes, it seems Tyr in that it is pretty small, particularly vertically, and pretty easy for red to shoot over or under it. Enjoy!

It's still a very good bot for mid range and middle of the match battles hopefully after the fast bots have left and all of the titans have not come out to play yet. I'm running LD ammo on mine as this works decently against Scorpions (which are a massive pain to the Bully) lock them in place and activate aegis so they can't get inside to unload. Saying that, if I had the choice of levelling one out today, I would choose a Fenrir over the Bulwark. In regards to Hawks, higher levelled ones will take you out quicker than lower levelled ones (obviously) and if they fly over the top of you, they will bypass your physical shield altogether. Surprisingly, the Bully has a better chance of survival against them than it used to with Ao Juns (dragon breath).

Hi All,
Thank you for your great inputs!! So my take aways so far:
- Since u run it successfully I’ll will give it more care because in essence I like the bot and suits my playstyle (run 2 Fenrir: 1 leadhose / 1 lasers, 1 flame Ao Jun, 1 lockdown Raven beacon runner, AM titan)
- Reason for my asking was if it would be worth upgrading, and the answer u give is yes it is a must to make it shine. So I’ll save me ag for that and at least one more fortifier.
- As for module the speed obtained with JM is nice but untill now I find it circumstantial and it does not get me out trouble bc often ripped apart in the jump. Maybe PS or LD over AH, I’ll give the first two a try. Side question: why would one prefer PS over AH? The latter gives more ag and can absorb most incomming unless multiples are shooting u.
- I’m actually building a second avalanche since I found them nice on the Ao Jun during skirmish the other day. Want to try them on bully. Does this weapon work well Titans like Arthur?
- Keep using cover and aegis (and learn to switch at the right moment... and not at the wrong bc ur toast lol!! The 4 seconds colofons is killing, should be nice to be similar to fenrir)
- Pilot is covered: I’m using legendary Pilot with all the good skills
- won a gold drone with squares and diamond so equipped it with T2/3 healing and DR chips. Not as effective as on my Cryptic fenrir but it helps.
- the good point obout the shield being small and hawks shooting over it might actually be the 'inconsistency' I'm experiencing now that I think of it. Those hawks that vaporise me are close so the beam autolocks above the shield prolly, whereas from a distance it autlocks on the shield.

For my 2c. I couldn’t make the redeemer bully work for me. Vipers were a much more successful fit to my playstyle. I think sometimes you see youtubers piloting a slow bot like the .Bully and they make it go fast because they’re using a big screen emulator with precision keyboard/mouse controls, which is very hard to replicate on a touchscreen device.
Diamond chips are gold for tanks. Recurring Crashing Repairer + Recurring intermittent repairer keep you alive against Titans and Hawks, but you do need a fairly hefty starting HP pool to get those chips working best.

I would run Thunders as Scorpion a remover or Avengers as all around weapons and avoid Hawks alltogether. Use the physical shield with Hawk only to get back into cover rather than take them on. The Bulwark physical shield is very weak.

just an update and a thank you for you advice!
I took advantage of last weekend upgrade overdrive and got it to 1.12. Swapped out the redeemers for calamities lvl9 which are now 1.12. This thing is beastly and now a main killer. Very good in keeping the perimeter near some beacons, those annoying blitzes and phantoms will vaporize. The range of the calamities helps while moving in at slow pace. It is a delicate balancing act using the shield switch but I'm getting better at it, less mistakes and as soon as there is a lull switch for it to reload and back. Made some changes to the pilot as well.
I see a bright future in this one. So much to upgrade aargh

I did something a little different - Mk2 lvl 12 Dragoons with legendary pilot. Maxed it out with all dmg pilot skills / modules and use it to hunt hawks, AMs, and picking off anything else in the open.
Pilot skills: - Legendary Pilot skill that reduces active module cooldown
- Gunsmith: dragoon - Master gunsmith - Energy shield expert - Mechanic
Modules: - Death mark - 3 maxed NRs
With the range, i don't need alot of the brawler skills and the aegis / mechanic skills keep the bot alive if something gets in range. I've surprised more than a few bots who think it's easy pickings, even titans. Just keep to max range as much as possible. Working on lockdown drone to help keep bots in open.

Scorpion jumps me I quickly switch to phys shield while turning, check how health is going or hit heal immed, turn lock on calamities and vaporize while backing away. Works very well, even if they have CU. I do have drone with healing and lot of DR chips so that helps in case they hurt me bad as it stops the dmg about midway. Normally they will jump back. Only when jumped while already engaged with other red(s) it becomes tricky, or in low health situations bc chips dont kick in.
