Just bought and slapped this build together and am already loving it! Plans to get the missle racks I want on it have started to get pushed forward due to how strong this thing has been: I have obviously been doing quite well with it, kinda starting to hate how OP the ability is though, lol. Lancer with shot ties is still fun and good but this thing is getting there... some of the games I had today: Anyone else got builds or games with this thing they wanna share?

Yup, Guardian is a beast. The ability may seem OP now... but it will be perfectly fine once you climb the ranks a bit. Especially when you go against Zeps... you'll be like "damn those little 「illegitimate child」s! Where's my Guardian...? little whippersnappers can't EMP me and get away with it... they'd better be gittin' off my lawn... damnit."
Well I was like that... I assume you will too... Seriously... No worries... debilitate, decimate, and humiliate them with a guilt-free conscience!

Guardian resets your ability and your weapons... and has a pretty long cooldown. Meant for killing Jugs and Ares... you can strip their shield and then unload into them. Also gets rid of Panther's fence and resets the dash on KS if you hit them with it before they dash into you.
Zep has EMP... freezes your mech in place and has a very short cooldown.

Guardian deals w/ tanks better, Zephyr deals w/ light bots better. Playstyle is totally diff. Guardian, you can reset someone, hit them, and still be tanky enough to keep shooting for a bit longer even after they can shoot again. Zephyr, gotta play hit and run.
Guardian also has a higher max EN than Zephyr.

Yeah, it’s super dope. Been upgrading for a few and found my fav combo. Good from 120, but deadly at 30. Really good corner shooter. Slow them down, deactivate and then kill.

lo level Guardian here, and I am just messing around with builds myself. This one is fun. Hit them hard from a distance, and if they get too close, "Crash'm and hit them when they are down. I'll try and find a bigger badder secondary weapon after i get lvl'd up a bit.

Sounds fun, but the reason i moved the RM12 to Guardian was because once red gets too close i cannot attack...and if they are faster than me they just chase me while i back peddle and i cannot get weapons on them.

Totally get that... and the Jav 6 + RM combo helps shrink your minimum attack range to 20m (I think) since the Javs can hit closer than RMs. The Guardian ability in combination with that is a pretty good self defense setup.
The ultimate bot for this is the KS since it can cover Long Range with the RMs, Med Range with RM and Jav, and then Close Range with the dash with some Jav overlap. It's a monster. I don't like it, personally, because MR 8 is my KS's favorite build... but I tried it and it was definitely good once I got the hang of keeping track of all 3 attacks.
And, I wasn't saying that your build is trash or anything... what you have is pretty versatile, and on a higher EN mech the RM12 + RPG 6 combo is probably pretty damned good, too... I just wanted to plant the seed of the Jav+RM combo in your mind. On any bot that can carry it, it's a pretty good support build.
Another good mech for those type builds is the Para, believe it or not. If I run Javs, RMs, or the combo of both, nowadays, I usually do it on an R4 Para... it's ability will usually serve to get me out of danger if I get sneaked up on. One exception is the Ares... Jav 6 + Ares is damned frustrating to go up against... and if I have a task for both Javs and Ares... better believe I am running that build to knock them out all at once.
EDIT... Damn I ramble... sorry about that!

im loving the input and as soon as iget a chance im planning on putting a Jav6 on him. I think "System Crash" will keep many just far enough away the Javs can lock on.

Truth... stripping a Jug shield with both salvos sucks. Have to know whether to send one volley at a time or both. Also, how and where you are shooting them... so easy to get blocked by terrain that you don't account for.

Do they have a shield show up on range finder, and does it look like most of mt shots will miss and overhanging stuff. It does limit where you can shoot from and where you can shoot to.

Just wanted to add some cautionary tips about the Guardian - and these are mainly the reasons I've stopped running mine:
- The Guardian is a pretty soft target, especially at ranges beyond 30m where the System Crash can't reach. - The System Crash has a horrendously long cool down and you're quite helpless if a red has you in its sights during this time. - Javs work well on almost every mech, but the Guardian is arguably one of the worse platforms for Jav due to it's slow speed and lack of defense after ability wears off. - As a sniper, as stated above, the Guardian is actually very bad. Basically, you have no long range defense like Ares, Juggernaut and Panther, and up close, your Long Arms lose like half their power. - Guardian with RMs is just a big fat target for any reds that break through your meat shield.
One of the better Guardian builds is MR8 and run like an ambusher. It's weakness of course is fast mechs. Another decent build but with obvious caveats is Jav6/RM12, but is very map and mode specific. Another one is RPG6/RM12.
Don't get me wrong, the Guardian is a great mech early game, but once you get the Zephyr, you'll likely shelf it like I did. So, if you're planning on the Zephyr, then don't spend too many resources on the Guardian.

So if you can get it up to that point and have carbines, I strongly recommend this build. It also has 24 EN, so you can run double Carbine 12 and that is an insane build.

I have the Get 2 berserker awards with Guardian challenge. I tried RM12 and then tried rpg6, even levelled them up. But no dice on open tourney map today. What is a good build for that challenge with Guardian? I could try MR 8s on it, though they are at the moment on my first drop bot Panther (for tourney). Would cpc be better for this challenge? Thanks.
Berserker award is 2 or more kills in one go. I got lots of kills so far but no multiples of them.

I had a game yesterday where I was back pedaling with my Guardian to avoid a red and slid off the snowy plateau or whatever. I landed on a ledge and what resulted was the red team standing over me looking down while I fired rpgs at them. See pic. After awhile the game ended, not sure if they hit me or time ran out. I also kept hitting them several times with the Guardians ability. Lol. Notice the one other surviving blue on the mini map by himself. He must have been like, "Hey where Is everybody?".

MR 8 is great for that task... the splash can help you get 2 or 3 at once if they are all bunched up. Also try to shadow a blue jug and let them take the brunt of the initial contact, and then when they are reloading, finish off the red(s) that they were fighting with your MRs.
Just random thoughts about it... luck can play a huge part in that task.

The RMs tactic only really works for this task in the early days of Tournament when you have a group of dumber AI. As the Tournament progresses, you have either smarter AI or human players and it gets tougher to use the RM build. As ⓣⓡⓘⓒⓚⓨ48 mentioned, MR8 and a blue Jugg meat shield are your best bets. Also, try to avoid healthy reds and go for low HP reds as much as possible.

Yeah, it’s super dope. Been upgrading for a few and found my fav combo. Good from 120, but deadly at 30. Really good corner shooter. Slow them down, deactivate and then kill. I just upgraded my Guardian last night and found out how outstanding this combo really is. Very impressed by it. I'm almost wondering if it's going to be more versatile than dual Carb12s. BTW, I forgot you were on here. We seem to run into each other a lot on the battlefield. It's always a challenge. Not only is your hanger strength higher than mine, but you're a great player too. The worst part is when I see you in CPC and I'm trying to do a task. I think this happened last night actually on the Mech Arena map. I seemed to run out of AI just before you did. lol. Always a fun match man!

I've also tried out Railgun MR8 in tourney before, another good setup. Also works well on Panther
