I have some things I have wanted to brag about and I am sure some of you do as well. New mech, new levels, getting far in the tournament, good battles or even just high scores, please share it all!
I will start with: This is my first tournament and I have played for about 5 days now... and I already am in the 3th section aka master! I have been using a lancer with shotguns mostly and am still getting this far. IDK how good that is entirely, nor how well I will do in this bracket but it feels great. Not to mention that last heat I was doing well enough to be in the top 3 people in about 2/3 of the rounds (although we still lost a lot because the teams I was with never got more than my kills combined)

I just picked up this level 12 lawn mower this morning, fun.
I have a MR8 kill task today so I've moved my MR8s to the Zephyr. Consequently, now I have a free Carb8 to put on my Guardian. I'm really looking forward to this.

You'll love it. Im enjoying melting juggs as long as the mm lets me lol
I had a competitive tourney card yesterday. Had been managing my red tickets and did not need to do much in the first couple days. Yesterday in the Tunnel of Fate, I had one player push me to the 5,000 range but later in the evening, the player in position 2 came up and kept pushing ... and pushing, until there was only 15 minutes left. I think I had to use like 10 gold tickets along with all the red ones I had so over 30 battles to get this score. Will be tourney dropping today so this was the day to push for me.

Not bragging too much, but I'm having a blast battling it out with you guys. Most of you have been playing longer, and while I'm not in top 3 manytimes, I am holding my own playing in these higher ranked games.
Finally Division 1 Mech Arena. I took the scenic route.

Nice change from War Robots where I’ve felt like flotsam and jetsam. Glad to play with you anytime, dukeofadvil.
To everyone still in the earlier stages of this game: Play CPC as LITTLE as possible. Put the majority of your playtime into tournament. In the game's current form, there are no benefits to progressing through CPC/Quickplay. All it does is make the AI more difficult in both modes. Tournament payouts for every bracket, rank 10 or higher, are guaranteed to be more resources than all of the CPC crates for the day. The game gives Token boosters in the EXP track. If they aren't active, try to avoid CPC daily missions. To conserve CPC crates, just don't open any of them if they aren't going to drop tournament tickets.
Trust me, you don't want to get to 2-3K AI land in CPC, nor deal with the grind the tournament NPCs present when CPC AI reaches those levels.
I know it's a brag thread, but I'll probably be pretty scarce, and for all of the time spent, the above is probably the most poignant statement I can make.

Ok, I’d like to know where you’re seeing easier enemies staying in a lower division. I’m still in div 9 and I’m getting hammered already in tournament (NOVICE bracket, no less) by hangars twice as strong as mine, and it’s starting to piss me off. Already faced one a-hole with a killshot and an indestructible juggernaut with my entry level gear. Not exactly what I envisioned.
Danny Linguini highest I've seen thus far are 7-800 squad power after grinding professional. Not sure what you're running into. I'm used to having to play flawlessly against hangars with 1000-1500 advantage, so maybe there's a difference in what's considered easy.

Didn't get a screenshot, but finished the last day of the last Tourney in 3rd. I was in first most of the day, but with about 2 hours left I went to bed just as I seen a couple guys on my heals sign back on.....yeah I knew when I woke up my lead would be a thing of the past.

If you're lower Division, I think the first couple of days of Tournament can be brutal, as opposed to someone in a higher Division with a more powerful hangar like mine. I remember, when it was early days for me in this game, I avoided Tournament cause it was so hard. I didn't start doing better until I got better/higher gear, and now, it's only Heat 4 where it really starts to get hard.
After Heat 3, I also don't try as hard in Tournament anymore because it gets impossible to catch up to some players who obviously grind more than me. Instead, I try for 4-6 place so that I get some booty. I also don't play every day, so it's not unusual for me to be demoted in the Tournament, and I find this makes it over all easier for me to get resources.
Oh, and wherever possible, I'll use "cheap" tactics in Tournament and take advantage of dumb AI's, especially if I get tasks like: kill a mech at >100m with x mech; or kill 3 mechs without incurring damage; I'll slap on the RMs and go to town.

"While you are busy stalking someone, someone ELSE is busy stalking YOU!"
"Have you noticed how many people are named Ron these days? Everywhere I look, I see more Rons!"

I guess realistically I should expect the road to be a little bumpier as well since I’m sticking with lower-tier gear. I’ve got autocannon 2 & 4 and RPG 2 & 4, and that’s it for weapons. I just unlocked a bunch more after cashing in my challenges (the real ‘challenge’ now is making them all without moving up in division!), but I’m not biting on them. I said this time around I’m going to see how far I can go with just those weapons, and I kinda forgot about the part of having to actually level them up to see how effective they can be. And sticking to F2P, that’s gonna take a little time.
I’ve been playing a bunch of CPC games running just Lancer to ‘manage’ my division, and dammit I’m just amazed at the number of games I can’t lose. Not only am I winning a lot more than I should for how crappy I’m intentionally playing, but I’m also usually at the top of my team with 1-2 kills and one capped CP. Seems like it’s a lot more work to stay put than it is to move up! It will be interesting to see how tomorrow’s tourney goes now with everything upgraded a few levels. Still a few days away from any rank-ups, though.

Some guy was close behind me for a while (I was in 1st), he hopped on and pulled a little ways ahead of me and hopped back off. I did the same. Back and forth we went until I ran out of tickets, last 3 minutes he is behind me by a good 400 points. I had ran out of keys but I thought I was fine, and then he ended the match he was in and then started another one right away... that one finished a while after the tourney ended and put him only 15 points ahead of me... so pissed.

Don’t feel bad ... I thought I was comfortably in 2nd last night (1st was way out of reach), then by this morning I had ended up in 7th. Talk about a letdown.

Problem is that I would have had my guardian... but that guy stole it from me. If I wasn't that close to it then I wouldn't feel bad for the most part, but I wanted that guardian. But yeah that sure as hell would be quite the let down, hope you can get a better place next tourney!

Slight brag... but not too much of one, since it's the first day of Tourney.
But I just gotta say... DAYUUUM That dude's Juggy was thicc! I only managed to kill him once... would have been twice but the end of the match hit right before my last salvo finished, so it didn't count.
Either way, I was just going to use the Para for a task, but once I realized there was a 2kSP player with a maxed Jugs (I assumed it was by how nothing was scratching it for the most part) I pulled out Killy FTW.
Props to that guy though... using an R5 RPG + R6 Juggy in late gamplay seems like a dedicated love of the build... and he got plenty of kills with it.

Had a ton of great games in the tourney with my new squad, we put together a discord and have been destroying people! We use my lancer with shotties to get the kills while the panthers pick off any stragglers/finish people off and protect me.
Brutal combo since we are all fast and I especially can get where I am needed very fast... loads of fun so far! That oisang guy isn't a part of our squad BTW, just me, unknown and joe392

Those are some wicked numbers! I don't like the killshot much but I sure as hell see why you do... absolutely insane!
