Does PC8 stand for Pulse Cannon 8 or Plasma Cannon 8? This is confusing in some posts.  |

Yup, there's no Plasma 8, but I can see the confusion when talking about the 4 and 6 versions of both.
Why don't we agree that PC is for Pulse Cannon and Pl is for Plasma?

Nah, it's easy. PC is easily Pulse Cannon because eventually no one uses Plasma cannons. Still, I agree with Koalabear on this one. PL is now plasma.  |

I kinda wish there WAS a PL 8 (<-- look at that conformity!) since I like the idea and style of play with the PL (<--- AGAIN!)

Basically, the PCs would do more overall damage then their PL counterparts, but the PLs would do more damage per shot but have slower projectile speed so is best used at close range. But...I feel like at the ranges that the PLs would perform well, the SGs will outperform them. For example, my SG4s are now at R4, and they surprise the heck out of me with how they perform. |

Yeah agreed... but SGs run out of ammo quick and are just not that sustained... PLs are an in between for SGs and PCs, as far as how I use them. I would like to bridge the gap between them and use them on bots that have quick attack times like the Para or even KS. |
