Can't play, matchmaking times have reached a level of absurdity that test ones sanity, If it ever even starts a match consider yourself lucky, The game is dead, we'll see if anything is done about it. Hiya NexusBlade! I hear you my friend. Wait times for me averaged between 15-30 seconds. Back when war robots was more popular, the wait was usually between 10-15 seconds. - MHPhakeem

I stopped playing since the Hawk came out, ran 1 game over the weekend to check out the new "Remastered", got Springfield spawn on the "good side". Took out my maxed Phantom, which is now suspiciously slow, to get the center beacon, immediately got 3 hawks on me, got killed before getting to the beacon. Didn't bother spawning another bot. Welcome to the age of anoying bots. First there was Ravana. I have an Ivory and do not run it....then Scorpion. I do not like backstabbers in real life why would I like this? Now Hawk, basically a flying Titan you can drop at any point in the game. Entire teams of them are killing this game. 6 months ago it seemed that half the people you played against had 3 or 4 Ravana. Beacon grabbing became impossible when you get there at the same time as 2 red Ravanas. Just pray that they nerf the Hawk soon Destroyer Might be too little too late for Pix to do anything to fix the game. I have already got past the addiction, there’s no reason to go back even if they actually make it fun again. The Hawk will get nerfed, right when they release the Eagle which will be 5 times stronger than the Hawk, it’s very predictable. Another problem I discovered are the 3 part ads, there are some corrupt codes embedded in them that makes my iPad crash, even without War Robots, while running other apps . I updated the latest iOS last night which fixed it but those ads may break my iPad again

I have to admit I actually felt a little bad: "Is this too OP?" "Am I sucking the joy out of the red team?" So, yeah, I still run just the one Hawk for many reasons including nerf hammer, Ag/Au/Pilot costs, and it's OP. I wish I could disagree with you about "The Eagle" but it's Pix. I'm still enjoying the game, and all of you in the forum community, but I'm going to let the meta change around me and I'll level a new a bot now and then but I'm not going to even try to keep up with the hyper-meta.

Much much less...bout 75% less. I just dropped my Facebook friends for War Robots because 90% of the guys I used to regularly squad with have left the game. These were top players from the top clans. Just about all of them are gone. It's pretty sad. The game used to have a ton of top notch players. It was a battle of wits. It was fun. Those days are over. Hiya spartan44, it is still a battle of wits. it is still a battle where a group of players will have some very formidable gear. nothing has changed. it is still fun because it’s the same game it’s been for the last 1000 days; Mostly F2P players mixed in with lots of minnows, and a small tranche of whales. - MHPhakeem

Hiya Desc440, I’m still playing pretty regularly, still in Champs (but advancing more slowly, like everyone else). dealing with meta bots still presents a challenge, but that’s alright. The nature of this game is there’s always an element of the “haves and the have nots”. This imbalance is hard wired into the game...and I guess we each deal with it in our own way; Some folks become determined to play the game on their own terms; they refuse to pay a cent to the game makers and run their own race. Kind of like a thoroughbred with blinders on, they just drive to their goal. They even take a kind of pride in their monastic spending habits. They remind me a little of vegans, but whatever floats their boat, you know? some folks open up their treasuries and just spend spend spend to get the mightiest arsenal available. Even though playing the game and that manner sounds a little boring to me, I’m fine with the whales also. People spend their disposable income on all sorts of things. A $500.00 dinner for two. A $10,000 custom made sofa that they just have to own. $150 for a cigar. $600.00 on a scarf from Burberry. If you’re earning power makes those kinds of purchases no big deal, then spending a couple grand on War Robots is just pocket change for someone like that. don’t let those spenders ruin your experience of the game. If those folks are smashing you, eventually your rating will drop and you’ll find yourself in the shallower end of the pool! before long, you’ll be placed in competition that is more suited to you. so have faith....chin up...and happy hunting! respectfully yours, -MHPhakeem
Whales or not, the game is just boring and tedious to play. Dropping leagues won't make it less boring and tedious. This tediousness is a symptom of the power-selling monetisation Pixo practices - can't sell power without overpowered garbage abilities like the Hawk's, or the Leech before that, or the Ao Jun before that, or the Ares before that, or the Spectre before that.
I'm done. This game is NOT FUN anymore.
Hello hello! So, you clearly understand that there will always be something really excellent that you can’t afford, but others can. you’ve clearly dealt with this phenomenon for a number of years - And continued playing anyway. So you found the game fun despite the reality that there were some very overpowered players out there, right? I am unclear why the game is not fun anymore now, when you found it fun before. It’s the same thing. It’s not like some new horrific offense has been committed by the game developers. - MHPhakeem

MHPhakeem,
We will have to agree to disagree as gentleman.
The game is just a shadow of its former greatness. It's not a battle of wits anymore but rather a battle of nitwits.
Everything HAS changed. The game is a mindless bore right now. That it has survived this long is a testament to how great it truly was in its first 3 years.
The original designers knew what they were doing.

I'm playing about the same, 1 to 2 hours per day. I have a Phantom, TFalc, Hawk, Nightingale, and Scorpion. The Scorpion is SUPPOSED to be a Loki but I'm still quite exceptionally annoyed about the nerf/baloney to Loki. I spent a LOT of AU on that Loki pilot. Anger. I say the above to point out that I'm still playing, but ANY meta-chasing I do is done slowly, carefully, and cheaply. I REFUSE to have a multi-Hawk hangar. I saw a maxed 1 x Phantom, 4 x Hawk hangar yesterday. Really? This guy has never heard of nerfs? Try to find your fun in this crazy game. If you can't find any, then as a minimum take a break. Hello moderator, That pilot that’s running around with four Hawks in his hanger....lol. I am pretty sure he’s having a great deal of fun. - MHPhakeem

I and ~ one dozen of my clanmates are all playing less. We used to have one pilot in Legends League or just below, and another 6-10 who put up 20K + cups each season. Now we're all under 6K; personally, I'm under 3K.
Why?
The change in cups won & lost per match when squadding is a big disincentive.
The latest massive round of nerfs has sapped morale. News of the upcoming changes has done so even more.
Those of us who used to buy Premium religiously have stopped doing so. I used to get the $1 gold or even coin deals but have ceased.
We're taking our run-n-gun skills (and wallets) to Call of Duty Mobile.

Game is crap now, after 3 years playing in all kind of top clans with full mk2 hangar i sucessfully unistalled it before 2 mouths when i saw drones are coming. Last week i istalled it back, omg, what a trash, after 4 min unistall forever.
Must say its pretty fun to look FB and forum comments every few weeks so u can notice Pixo is just going straight down with their gredy performance. Game has 4.1 play store rating, but im sure it will fall under 4.0

Second, to answer your specific question: as godawful as the Ares, Ao Jun and Leech era were, they were NOTHING compared to the ridiculousness of the current Hawk (+ Blitz) meta. Getting toasted to death by an Ao Jun at 350 m is bad - getting phreemed from 500m by a Hawk is beyond just worse. You guys rightfully nerfed the Ao Jun but then are leaving the Hawk alone? How can you expect us to take the claim that the Ao Jun nerf was done for balanced reason when you let the Hawk continue to completely obliterate everything in its path without so much as the gentlest of nerfs?

His there Desc, The hawk needs the additional power. Try for a moment to empathize with the people that truly do spend tremendous amounts of money on this game. Where is their return? Where is the separation one gets from spending all that money? Look how overpopulated the champion league used to be. You would even occasionally see British bots or a Leo in champ league. The restructuring of leagues combined with the power of the hawk have now left only true champion hangers in champions league. What I’m saying is that in the end we all win from this. Former champions now finally have something to strive for… And the people who spend money on the game now can a enjoy their rank with renewed pride. - MHPhakeem

Are you 「fluffernutter」ing kidding me? 「fluffernutter」 that.
I am still in Champs btw. You don't need Hawks or Blitzes to do so if you are... you know, actually good.
That doesn't mean it's an enjoyable experience, however - hence why I'm playing less and less.
This all circles back to Pixonic's monetization scheme. I get it - it's a business, not a charity. I'm happy to spend money on this game if it's actually good. I haven't spent a cent since the pilot rework because that was just a huge 「fluffernutter」ing slap in the face of EVERY player, both F2P and whales. Everything Pixo has done since then has only cemented my decision not to support them financially anymore.
The day they turn the ship around by implementing a monetization scheme that doesn't rely almost 100% on bleeding the wallets of the whales dry and leaving the F2P, minnows and dolphins hung out to dry is the day I'll gladly start spending again.

His there Desc, The hawk needs the additional power. Subjective opinion. Most folk disagree. We didn't need it before it came along... and if there IS such a need for more power, all bots should come up to its level... Try for a moment to empathize with the people that truly do spend tremendous amounts of money on this game. Where is their return? Where is the separation one gets from spending all that money? Look how overpopulated the champion league used to be. You would even occasionally see British bots or a Leo in champ league. You have got to be kidding me. This game was great when the equalizer was skill and great team play. A game that is based on how much you can spend is 「dookie」. Just 「dookie」. Nothing more, nothing less. Yes that is a subjective opinion... but it's a pretty popular one across ALL games... not just this dumpster fire. The restructuring of leagues combined with the power of the hawk have now left only true champion hangers in champions league. Right... true champs are the ones that spend the most. Got it. Try and reword it if you want, that is what you are saying. What Iâm saying is that in the end we all win from this. You are right, moving on from a 「dookie」 game, well, a 「dookie」 Publisher/Developer, is a "win."
Former champions now finally have something to strive for⦠And the people who spend money on the game now can a enjoy their rank with renewed pride. There is nothing to strive for when as soon as a F2P or minnow achieves it, they nerf it and release new 「dookie」 that is cost prohibitive for 90% of the game's player population, again. And pride? Pride in getting a bot that costs more, so it has more power, enough to single bottedly erase an entire team of bots? That is pride to you? Must be one of those words with relative definitions. Pride for me is being in essentially the same levels (or having some equivalent counter) as the opponent and outplaying/thinking them.

Some ramblings:
Bro/Broette/Brosephus, you are to be commended on your troll game. If you aren't trolling, then yeah, enjoy whatever they are giving you in recompense for this campaign of yours. If you are truly sincere, and not a troll or an employee/rep/agent, and actually believe the 「dookie」 you are typing... well, then yeah, sounds like you found the perfect game and Pixo found the perfect player. Enjoy.
Just realize that most of us have been down the "look at the brightside" road with Pix for quite a while, and then we realized that the only brightness we see is when they stop 「dookie」ting on us long enough to get up off the toilet for a minute. But they always just sit right back down, darkening the skies above us.

Seperation to get from spending money... I pay for shiny things, not for boosting my ego at the expense of other people time with a false sensation of beeing powerfull... does anyone pay for beeing seperated in War Robots? What does it even mean? Did something get lost in translation? Why can't money be earned in a more respectfull way towards customers? Overpopulation of Champion league as a result of... of... lack of empathy towards people who spend money? I don't know if I read correctly.... I think there was no doubt that it was the poor MM algorithm combined with shortsighted marketing practices and lack of understanding of the product sold to customers... "The restructuring of leagues combined with the power of the hawk have now left only true champion hangers in champions league" - let's see how this turns out, from what you spam here it seems " i need the Hawks" is as good as a solution to the MM problem as it is to the other problems with Remastered nowadays... " What I’m saying is that in the end we all win from this" - I need Hawks! To the last part I want to say that you touched two of some of the biggest problems War Robots has for last years, but you offer the problem as a solution to itself - constant nerfs, buffs, unbalanced content, high prices, encouraging addiction. You do know, this game is officially played by 12 year olds? Hе был дома, когда разделили стыд? - BD Edit: I guess I wasn't the only one offended by this

Yup, Im down to about 30 minutes a day now. Just cant stomach all the BS in the game now. Me and the guys in Kaos have been playing PUBG a lot more and we enjoy it win or loose. The stress isnt there like it is with War Robots and of course the cash outlay isnt there so some of us that have played PUBG for 2 years can still squad with guys who have only been playing for 2 weeks which is super cool!

Add to this the accelerated panic execution of remastered, simply a colossal mess. Time will tell what they will do to resolve this situation. Hopefully prudent minds prevail and meaningful steps are taken to win back the player base.

The restructuring of leagues combined with the power of the hawk have now left only true champion hangers in champions league. What I’m saying is that in the end we all win from this. Former champions now finally have something to strive for… And the people who spend money on the game now can a enjoy their rank with renewed pride. - MHPhakeem I strongly feel that Pixonic's logic is very similar to yours here. This is exactly why War Robots is not a competitive game; buying chances to "win" an overly powerful piece of equipment only tests the relative amount "players" will pay rather than who has the best skills operating the equipment. There are examples of "free" games that do not sell power like this. They only sell skins, dances, or whatever else to individualize a gaming experience with only skill and knowledge of the game and maps being the separating elements between the winners and losers. Those games make much more money that War Robots does.

I am still in Champs btw. You don't need Hawks or Blitzes to do so if you are... you know, actually good. hello again my good friend,
i am still in champ league. i don't know if that means i'm good or not.
*muses*
the challenge for minnows like me who have been playing for a few years is this; how do i get around the meta?
i guess either you enjoy the challenge or you don't.

But they always just sit right back down, darkening the skies above us.

hello Tricky,
thank you for the well-thought-out response!
to respond, i'd say this;
1) when i said that the introduction of the powerful Hawk was necessary, i'm speaking from Pixonic's point of view. the Leech, the Ares (etc. for metabots) just weren't strong enough. you could compete against them on a somewhat reasonable basis with "free" robots.
2) the equalizer to this game remains skill and team play. that has not changed. i guess if you think about it, if one lacks skills and has no friends to play with, then American Express is also a "great equalizer" to this game.
3) if one is compelled to spend the money to assemble a metahanger, i'd imagine you might want more return for your investment. you'd want to sit in a rarefied space, away from the middle and lower classes. in short, you'd want a home in the Hamptons, without any riff raff (who get shuttled to Montauk). so, the developer have taken the property formerly known as "Champion League" and gentrified it bit. its alright with me. i think C League had gotten a little crowded.
4) we all strive for different things, i guess. you speak of nerfs, but that hasn't been my experience. my weyland has actually gotten nothing but buffs, lol. my ember? buffed! for those of us who have never had a metabot during its conquering months and own ordinary stuff, all we get are buffs (while we watch stuff that has been vexing us get nerfed).
respectfully yours,

- BD Edit: I guess I wasn't the only one offended by this hello my friend,

- the true spenders who help support (fund) the continued existence of this game pay the developers for the means to separate themselves from the rest of the player base and/or to compete with others who are (for whatever reason) compelled to purchase the most powerful weaponry.
whether its purchasing an expensive German import to drive in, or a Patek Phillipe to tell time by...that's the way the world works. its time you woke up and smelled the thorns, my friend. some people like nice things and have little issue buying those nice things. surely you're not as shocked as you're pretending to be?
Overpopulation of Champion league as a result of... of... lack of empathy towards people who spend money? I don't know if I read correctly.... - to put it simply, the threshold for hanger quality was too low for champions league. to put it another way, you no longer feel like a champion when everybody is a champion. now champions can feel the specialness earned by either player skill, dollar investment (or a mixture of both).
To the last part I want to say that you touched two of some of the biggest problems War Robots has for last years, but you offer the problem as a solution to itself
- aye. that's a fair conclusion to make. as i've stated here and in other threads, i'm happy with the state of the game.
