I've been leveling my Hawk and it gets ridiculously expensive after level 10: 52M Ag to get to 1.11 and 70M Ag to get to 1.12. I've been playing my thumbs off to collect silver the past few days. The free 3 Day Premium was a nice little present. With that, Ag Boosters and scamming the Supply Crates I was able to grind the 52M in a couple of days. Now I'm out of Ag Boosters, and the Premium has run out so it's taking a little more work. I use Speed, Shield and Damage Boosters in the evening or I get crushed, but I might run out of them in a couple of days. In the morning, it seems like the MM is more amiable so I don't use the boosters. I'm sitting on 65M Ag and 3 1/2 more days until my Hawk will be at 1.11, so I'm in no hurry but I'll just keep chugging along so I can blow through MK2 and not have to worry about going broke.
So how do you grind Ag? (Not how should I)

Since everything is tied to honor points at this point, I would look over the list at the end of the match. An easy way of picking up some more is to run healing bots to finish first in healing. Also grab beacons. Premium is best overall. I haven't looked at buying Ag boosters recently but it seems like Au has better uses these days.

I run Tyr and Noodles so I get !st or 2nd in healing almost every match. I try to get 1st in Beacons, but sometimes I get 3rd or 4th. My Au pile hasn't been growing very quickly as of late since I haven't been opening chests with ads very often. I guess playing squads is another good Ag boost.

Honor boosters are super wasted in squads. You're competing with other competent teammates for honor as well. Killing randoms nets very little silver, and if you can't beat strong squads it'll be wins against randoms and losses against squads, often alternating until you get sick of it and disband

At best you may get a 2 mil ag game, but if that game takes the full 10 mins, squad games that last 3 mins that nets you 600k ag — that’s 1.8 mil for 9 mins. Squad games are more consistent and faster imo.

I never grind for silver, too much work. I've been known to go a couple of months and never do an upgrade. What I got works in lower Champions League, which is a good place to be.
Plus I never take anything above 9, except Punisher's.
Don't upgrade modules, another big savings there.
Don't speed upgrades when I finally decide to upgrade something. I got time to wait.
2 mil a day from Supply Drops.
Usually have around 600 mil Ag sitting around.

There would be a weapon or so I’m leveling along with it and try to time as best I could to where they are ready at those expensive levels for the discount weekends. If the discount weekends doesn’t come like the one we’ve been waiting for recently, I don’t go forward with the upgrades, unless I have a good amount of silver.

Well, it's been three months since the last Upgrade Overdrive and in the latest Q&A, in answer to a question of when there will be another, they said there weren't any plans for one. I've gotten 2 weapons to MK2 and now I'm working on my Hawk (I've earned my 70M today). When my Hawk reaches 1.11 in 3 days, I can just drop the 70M and wait the 6 days for the upgrade

That’s another way I look at things whether I will continue with an upgrade or not.

I'm leaving my Hawk at 9 and have plenty of weapons to level. Recently got a normal Nucleon that will replace the Futuristic one so my Hawk doesn't look like it has a brain tumour.

Left my hawk at level9, I might upgrade it later. For now id rather prioritize thing I enjoy running - currently mk2ng my tarans/magnums for my raven, and cryo weapons for my striders after that. Might level up a thermite after that ?

I'm probably just repeating what everyone said, but: Weapons before bots. Use damage boosters if you have them. Choose the correct time of day to play. (At some times of day you'll face easier opponents. At other times you'll face death squad after death squad.) Do what you can to maximize honor points with healing and by deploying your Titan if you haven't deployed it before the game is about to end. Try to prioritize winning the game over getting as much damage as possible.
And a controversial point: Anything, anything will get nerfed eventually, so if you have something that you think you will never, ever use again even if Pixonic decided to buff it, sell it for silver.

1) Don’t use ads on speeding up the upgrades. 2) Don’t buy VIP unless you are playing for an hour+ every day. 3) If you have them damage boosters, etc. are useful 4) Honor boosters are the bomb, especially when combined with an Ag booster. (I buy the pack of boosters which has 5 x Honor boosters once every 3 months or so. I use them to ensure I re-qualify for Champions league). 5) Don’t use your workshop except for needed items. Workshopping a new robot in particular is very Ag intensive. 6) Spend time upgrading low level equipment. The Ag/hour is very reasonable up to 1.7, after that the curve takes on exponential growth. This can give you some breathing space to save Ag. 7) The operation pass will net a very handy stash of Ag, amongst other goodies. 8) Running a healbot will almost guarantee a top 3 for healing. Remember to take beacons. Running 2 x Nightingales in your hanger should just about guarantee getting too place for healing and top 3 for beacons. 9) Focus in the team W, not grinding for silver. The 400 or so honor points for getting the W is more than the incremental gain you get for being selfish.

I don't grind. I just play hard, have maximum fun, stay solo...and the silver just accumulates at whatever speed it accumulates at.
Sounds like a 「wee-wee」 answer, but its the truth.

So what you're saying is you only grind on the dance floor It's a great answer. The question was "How do YOU grind for YOUR silver" and you answered it honestly and succinctly. A lot of people read it as "I need silver. How can I accumulate it the quickest?" I guess I should've made a poll. (I know how forumites LOVE polls)

play a lot Use ads, incl. free ones, towards supply drops I agree on the above assessment that squad games reduce Ag earnings per game, but may have a positive overall effect considering how fast paced such games are; a typical solo game lasts 5-10 min while a squad game usually ends in 5 min. I make roughly 25 m Ag and 150 Au a day on average, incl. crates, honor chests, drops and operations (no premium, or other paid stuff). I keep a Ag reserve of 400m stable for 3 weeks now while upgrading my premium modules (40m Ag/ 2 days, 1 day during upgrade rush and free 3- day premium rush)

Simple answer is I just don’t speed upgrades, either with Au or ads. I also only selectively upgrade bots over 9-10 or weapons over 11-12. That limits the biggest upgrade costs. If Ag gets low then I upgrade some lower level gear I want to try which buys me some time - got a second pair of wasps cooking right now after the buff.

In game, using healing bots and deploying titan generate damage and in return silver. I try and rank among the first three in damage, healing and beacons. However, since the ag rewards tied to honor points, there is a almost fixed ceiling for the ag earnings per game. Before the said change i found ffa the most rewarding mode in terms of resources; not anymore. I think it is best to play fast paced games and move on; and play a lot.

When grinding for silver : I play in 1/2 hour increments I use what ever 30 minute boosters are available If I mech out, I leave the battle right away and start a new match. If the match ends I don’t look at everyone’s stats I only increase the rewards when offered if its over 250000 After 30 minutes of play I farm the bronze chest using adds and what ever keys earned. I do not speed upgrades while grinding for silver as that takes the silver out of my pile much faster then it can be replenished. If I happen to complete an Operation, I might buy the pass for the silver and a few extra goodies. Any comps I get from the special delivery crates that I don’t want I sell them for silver.

Run duo squad, but no more than two. Three man teams ofc put you up versus full squads. Duo will get you a lot of wins. I struggle with silver too because I do full squads 90% of the time I play. Silver comes in at a trickle. And if i'm in a pinch to level something (like quarkers right now), I get on , reject squad requests, and run solo or duo during North America server daytime hours.
And I hate to say it but you almost have to run premium. The difference in silver earned is ridiculous. I know there's people out there that are hardcore F2P, but if there is one thing to give in a little on, it's premium. I usually catch the special they run for 45 days for 14.99. Money well spent if you like playing the game and want bang for your buck.

Yeah I put a VPN on my phone so we could play on Asia or Euro to seek out tough squads. But yes, that makes sense to use it opposingly for playing on the server that has heavy hitters at work or asleep.

on android, delete app data to reset the daily quota of 3 free ads you can watch for silver in the crates (in champion league, this gives you 1.5 mil silver). farm ads w/ skirmish.

other (less ethical) tips for getting honor/boosting silver:
1) steal your teammates kills (but don't throw away a bot or positioning to do so). One trick is to use your own bot to block your teammates' weapons fire. Another is to wait until the last possible moment to Arthur fart.
2) if the game is decided already: a) shoot leeches that are leeched onto your teammates (especially if they're S rank clan players) b) prevent your teammates from being able to get back into cover (especially if they're S rank clan players) c) anything else you can think of to increase your own honor/standings at the expense of others
3) if you're 100% certain you can kill a red who's about to take a beacon (and you won't get killed from elsewhere), let him turn it white, then get on the beacon and kill him, take it back.
