  top two sockets right and left work in tandem here is an example you need to find the mate to the other one for the other side THIS one is suppressor but there is also a lock down and freeze excetera at least I think that's how it works I've been playing around anyways try it |

Got this from the devs there's a strong correlation between modules and your weapons that you use and you're microchips example would be lockdown chips with the lockdown module .Pulsar weapon  |

 Hi all this is a type c microchip for a c socket . Available drones right now do not have this type of socket if you have this type of microchip and you don't see it in your inventory then you do not have the Drone that has a c socket It's kind of a luck of the draw What drone you get and what socket commodation you get you might have to try and get a few of the same drones to get the sockets you want |

Here's some super-secret info on Drone Chips: Prepare to be disappointed. I have around 8 purple chips and ONE of them (Suppressor) is useful. The rest are crap. I have like 3 purple (add ability to your drone weapons" of the exact same type. Maybe I'll get a weapon drone in the future but for now I'm not dropping RM to get one. *harumph* Have a good Monday.  |

Yeah I'm disappointed also in the concept of drones what a waste of resources on a game that is just getting stuffed with crap

So I was looking for my c microchip couldn't find it so I bought another drone of the same type and that drone had the c socket .So every time you buy a drone of the same kind the sockets are different . So that's the luck of the draw you might get a drone that has awesome chip sockets or a drone that has crappy chip sockets

So as you can see with these two DRONES the top left microchip socket are different one is B THE OTHER is C so every time you get a drone you have a different combination of microchip slots so you might get a good drone or a bad drone   |
