Kickstarter to pilot real-life mech

Saw this in my Kickstarter feed and figured y'all would get a kick out of it. Didn't read through everything but looks like these folks have been working for a while to get real-life mech racing off the ground as a genuine sport. They've already built a pretty cool 4-legged mech and you can see it here tossing around a car:
Anyway, there are the usual low dollar gifts for hat/shirt type merch and then starting at $250 (Canadian) dollars you can spectate in-person for a demo (extra $150 and you can bring something to get crushed in front of you). $2,500 CAD is the starting price to be able to pilot it yourself for a bit going up a 3 day pilot boot camp for $13,000 CAD. I'm pretty sure you have to pay separately for travel to British Columbia and lodging, etc and that it won't be the most formal "pilot school." But compared to some of the prices folks pay for their pixelated mechs this could be fun. And unlike Pixonic purchases you'll be helping them to permanently buff the mech not nerf it :-)
