Can someone explain how squadding works?
I get that we have a friends list via facebook and in game friend invites, but it looks like you have a limited number of times (maybe per day?) that you can invite people to squad, and it appears it is only for TDM?
If it’s limited, that makes sense to keep squad steamrolling under control.
What I noticed though, which doesn’t seem a fair design, is I sent out a couple invites for squad that weren’t received, yet my number of invite allowance deducted it anyways.

I haven’t created any team matches myself, but I did get pulled into one that was a control point game (and it was a good bit of fun, too). I’m not sure of most of the details with it, though. Where’s Redfiend at? I’ll bet he knows.

You can add friends by having them send you their Pilot ID, adding them from recent battles, or just from FB if you have your account linked.
Squad works for either mode, when on the actual screen with team slots, the game mode is on a tile at the bottom. There's a button on the top left corner of that tile that let's you switch between TDM(when it's active) and Beacon Rush.
To squad in TDM, all of the players in the room have to have tournament entry tickets.
You can't invite people currently playing a match. When you send the invite, a popup comes up at the top of their screen. The options on the pop up are to join or remove the pop up, with a check box to mute the invites if you dont want to be bothered.
If they don't respond, or start a battle of their own, the popup stays for 10 seconds. So long as it's up, there will be a "pending/waiting for response" spot with their name on it on the create game screen. There should be an X on the slot if you sent the invite to the wrong person or something like that.

Personally, if I get an invite, I reject, and get another invite after 10 seconds, I unfriend the jerk.
I find it a bit taxing to renew a squad after 15 seconds. One, I can't look at the results as long as I like. Two, I might get lumped in with players that I don't want to squad with if they renew too. But maybe it just takes getting used to.

Okay, what I realized now is that the 4 invites is the maximum squad size, that is why you are given 4 invites. and then the next time you squad you get another 4 invites.
