There are a few things I see, and through bitter experience have learned “It’s a trap!”
My favorite us one I do, although initially didn’t realize it was a trap for the unwary:- Yang Lee pilots - do not go chasing Nightingales. If they fly away and you chase after them you will land with guns unloaded and every blue in 500m will have you in their crosshairs the instant you land. My poor Nightingales have been wrecked or killed many times by Yang Lee, but almost always he ends up losing his brand new still-got-the-new-bot-smell Ao Jun.
What are traps you use/have had used against you?

I over commit with my Ao Jun often, and Nightingale is the worst. All those blue healing underneath her are like baby eagle chicks ready to leave the nest and search for food for the first time as soon as you land

They really don't like having their weapons nerfed during flight, and often come for a bit of an inopportune chat.

I accidentally laid a trap in a phantom. Get a blue to chase you. Drop your little free return beacon where the red will follow. Once they are past blink back so you end up behind them like a scorpion.
I also started baiting reds in a Spiral Jesse. Spam away with your missiles from a safe distance to get one angry. Once they start chasing you lead them into the blues nest. One dead angry red. Best to have road hog, scout and mechanic.

My very first 6 Pack League match was versus the EZ Reapers in Nov, 2017.
There I was on SF, behind a building in my RDB on the city side. 495m away, Bagofsoup stood, oblivious to the danger, in the factory area firing gekkos towards the melee in center. My cool down expired and I was ready to ravage him with a classic pop up attack. Muahahaha!
I jumped and at that moment Bag took one step back in his Natasha to 501m. My rockets all exploded harmlessly over his head as he lit me up with twin already locked on Zeus’s and his gekkos.
He knew I was there, he knew what I was in. He had set the whole thing up.
I have learned SO MANY THINGS playing 6P over the years.

Don't fly an Ao Jun or a GALE over a building around a MERCURY.
He can't shoot you very well...but the blast from the HELLDIVE becomes a potent anti-aircraft weapon.
FALCONS can jump pretty high as well... it's a desperation move, but a mag dump of rockets or flechettes in the face can ruin an Ao Jun's game.

i ran a chimera butch in tdm from time to time. with Quantum Radar and loaded glaciers. hook the red, reel him in, blast in the face with an ice cool peppermint patty.
ravanas pretty much put an end to that, but it was fun blasting enemy loki/pursuer/ao jun that came for the easy kill.
edit: if the corn filter is going to automatically do word replacement, maybe it should be denoted like how current r&r uses braces. just a peaceful suggestion.

I like to find the guy running maxed ravanas and plink at him with my strider. He chases me for a few minutes before he realizes he can’t catch up, and wasted time he could have spent pressuring my blues or taking a beacon

I use an Orkan Leech. It's definitely not "the best" Leech, but I love the bang-bang-bang-bang-bang-bang. What I have to remember is I don't HAVE TO finish the enemy off in one go! Often times I get trapped by my own ambition...I use up all my rockets but continue to fire at the Ao Jun thinking "He's almost finished! Just a few more rockets!" When instead I should run back for cover while I still have the chance.

In the past I have walked many times into the annoying hydra trap.
Before I realized that almost 0 damage player was surrounded with other reds I was dead.
I did this so many times and I still like to think I am not completely stupid.

I love stalking AJs with my Quantum Radar equipped Scourge Leech. It is so easy, it should be illegal. Just calmly walk towards them, get out in the open, watch them take flight, activate Quantum Radar, hit them with both leeching ability and the 4 scourge and watch them immediately freak out.
I specifically built that bot just for this task.

I slapped a battle born module (which i once won in random spin, no way i'd buy something so lame) onto a Thunder Jun.
This is the only thing I have that can sucessfully fight off a Storm Ravana. They're always baffled why I don't fly away and close in for that sweet sweet point-blank-range kill. Except then I don't go down as easily and the two thunders start dealing uncomfortable amounts of damage. After battle born expires I can always start flying. The ravanas will usually be out of their immortality tricks by this time and the thunders are always ready.
I can kill most ravanas without last stand and severely maim the others. Unfortunately, the robot is hopeless for the second, third, fourth ravana that is usually coming next...

One trap that has bitten me hard If you see an old-school out of meta bot in Champions play, it could be: A) a newer player using it as a placeholder until he gets a better bot; B) Someone taking a trashbot out for the LOLs.; or C) Someone who has completely mastered this bot and knows how to use all their tricks and has leveled up the bot, weapons, modules and pilot skills to Olympian levels.
If ats A or B then it can be a quick easy kill. If its C well ...

That was before shieldbreaker. I still spring this surprise on unaware loki's sometimes after i pretend I dont have quantum radar for a few seconds lol.

A completely maxed Treb Behemoth is hilarious on maps like Canyon and Castle. Unless they have Last Stand, some bots literally spawn and then die immediately.
I remember starting in one and the red Ao Jun spawned and before it walked a step, it was dead. Doesn’t have the best DPS , but the instant dmg and instant kills are incredibly satisfying.

UNATTENDED RED BEACONS IS A POTENTIAL TRAP IN BEACON RUSH.
Being sneaky and stealing from the enemy cookie jar is always tempting, but know where you are in the game and how many reds are on the field.
Personally...I will try it anyway...but I'm kinda stupid and will sacrifice a bot just to pull 1-3 reds away from their attack plan. (It's an uncredited kill if they ditch a bot to come get me)

oFalcon with Exodus on the wings gets mistaken for a naked tFalcon from time to time. I call him Sgt. Doakes "surprise mother「fluffernutter」er"
Glaciers are still better, but it sure is a fun build.

(It's an uncredited kill if they ditch a bot to come get me) I will do this same thing as a strategic trap. I will go for the beacon with no immediate intention of stealing it, just drawing as many reds away as possible to take pressure off of other beacons. Usually works best around the enemy home beacon. I prefer to do it in something that I can make a quick get-away in. Say, a jumping Ravana. Bounce away like like an antelope.

Glaciers are still better, but it sure is a fun build. I'm running an oFALCON w/EXODUS-GLACIER in the wings (too broke for matching weps) and AVENGER in the middle (sharpshooter skill...day and night for the AVENGER) Timed right, those launchers are pure "roboto-deleto"...timed wrong....well.... you've got other bots (hopefully).... A leveled and protected FALCON can "tank" with most bots outside of TITANS and keep you in the game or on a beacon until help arrives. (I frustrate Ao Jun's who use up their ability to kill me, then screw up and land next to me with 1/4 of my life left)

Ok...oFALCON also frustrates RAVs...of course, mine is 1.11 with MECHANIC/ARMOR/SHARPSHOOTER (AVENGER) and maxed basic armor mods. If I get some help, I can take beacons from RAVs...but alone, it's pretty much slow death.
Thinking a KIDD is a bag of silver is a bad move...
Remember: His standard guns do a crap-ton of damage out to 500m to any standard bot without a purple shield...and his furnace ignores those shields for some reason. He's not the "ultimate TITAN"...But he's not a joke. Take him seriously.
