I've run into heavy squads before and been crushed, but this time it was a real deathsquad vs me plus 5 randoms, not just a bunch of (compared to me) whales smacking me around.
Less than 1m 30s into the game and I'm dropping my 3rd bot and there are 6 Ravanas in our spawn. My Leech died instantly to a hail of Mk2 weapons, and I didn't bother dropping any more. Not sure if the rest of the team had the same idea, or if they were wiped out, but the game lasted less than 15s from the death of my Leech. I've got level 9-10 bots and weapons, not a chance against Mk2. I nearly put down the game for good after that one. That really sucked bad. The silver you get for not being able to damage Mk2 bots also sucks.
I'm in Masters 1, and I hear Champs is way worse. Ugh.

As your bots/weapons/pilot skills improve, so will the experience of being on the other side of the clubbing. Happens to us all. Cant let that bother you to the point of quitting, but if it does, time to find another game. Just a game and treat it as such. Happy hunting

Your free trial version is over. Pix now requires you to pay to play or else you are just another piece of garbage to use as fodder for those who do pay.

As your bots and weapons get upgraded, you will NOT get to experience the joys, such as they are, of clubbing.
Not unless you too begin running in squads, boosted, with your teammates on voice.
That, and only that, is the way.
Also: Make sure your teammates are maxed.

elttaes Yeah, it sucks. Drop your other bots. You may not get too many shots in, but you may do better than your teammates who are probably ?dookie?ting their pants so you can get better ranked against them and pick up more honor and silver. I've heard a lot of players who refuse to sacrifice more bots to line the pockets of the Reds, but does that really hurt you? If you stay in the match even against insurmountable odds, you are more likely to get more honor and as a result more keys and silver. I get matched with death squads at least once a day, sometimes up to five times, but I stick it out and come in the top three on my team and claim the silver and keys. I usually get positive league points too. If you drop out, you're more likely to be 4th or 5th and get negative league points. Death Squad matches take less than 2 minutes, you pick up a little silver then move on to the next battle. **I just had a random thought** If a Death Squad match lasts 2 minutes, does your silver equal 1/5 of your average total for full 10 minute matches? I'll have to check this out. If it works out that way for you, then there's not much to complain about except for the frustration during those 2 minutes. I've upgraded all my current bots to 2.12. I'm starting on the weapons now; they're still at 1.9. I just think of it as a natural progression. It gives you a little more battle longevity. It's only hard to do if you're chasing the meta. In your current hangar, decide which bots you rally enjoy playing and MK2 them. Once that's complete, you can add new bots to the MK2 queue. My plan: MK2 five bots then their weapons, then you can level newer bots if you are interested in running them and hopefully you can use some of the same weapons. You can get advice on which bots and weapons are worthy of keeping for the long run from the forum. I've been playing for 3 years but I didn't start MK2 ing my bots until a year ago. I have 8 MK2 lvl 12 bots now. It's a lot easier since the rework of MK2 since you no longer lose hp between MK1 lvl 12 and MK2 lvl 1 and the costs of the upper levels have been spread out over the levels instead of increasing costs like MK1. I've given up on Modules and Pilot Skills and started focusing on the basics...back to Walking War Robots. Don't lose heart. Sure, you get to be cannon fodder from time to time, but you can still enjoy a lot more matches. "Why do we fall?"

Get you a Loki and make the match last longer than they expect it to.

My bots and weapons are mostly in the 9-11 range. Hit another death squad today. Not as on fleek as the last one. It was a mix of meta bots and full meta weapons. Everything on the red side of the killboard was green. We were 5-capped in under 2 minutes. Match lasted maybe another 30s. Afterward I took a look. Reds were a full squad, all champs and totalled about 55000 cups. Blues were a squad of 3 plus 3 randoms. 2 of us were not champs, Blue total of about 35000 cups. 35000 vs 55000? Absolutely 「fluffernutter」ing bull「dookie」.

Your free trial version is over. Pix now requires you to pay to play or else you are just another piece of garbage to use as fodder for those who do pay. Fake news. Even if you pay you will be beaten down if running solo. Its as much pay to lose as pay to win. As to the OP we all have had the spawn raid beat downs.

Got to be on the clubbing side today. This wasn't a full squad, but a 2-member squad from FSU. One was about 13k cups, the other was about 9k. The rest of us were masters, I think. The Red side was all 5k champs. They were 5-capped in a minute and a half (though they managed to get one back briefly) and the whole thing lasted less than 3 minutes. I managed to contribute all of 90k damage. It was more fun than the beat down version, but I didn't really get to play, either.
