My effort in gameplay has zero effect in league advancement. Every single time I play I am defeated and lose league position. Then miraculously there is a win...in 6th position. My normal play is like this: I kill several enemies and get screwed on scores. No matter how fiercely or defensively I fight I come in at 6th position. When I win in 6th position I’ll gain +2 league points. But when I lose in 6th position I’ll get hammered with a -31 in league points. This will continue 15 or 20 battles, then suddenly there is a win. And as usual I come in at 6th place....but receive a whopping +50 league points. This might happen for 2 or 3 battles, then back to the gigantic “take away” in totally mismatched battles. Recently, I received like +106 league points...IN 6TH POSITION!!?? That incident convinced me that my game play has zero effect in league advancement. Pixonic arbitrarily assigns points and player advancement is solely at the whim of some ridiculous computer subroutine or procedure. I am convinced of it and now whenever I am forced into the “gigantic take away” I just quit and play something else or watch movies or just go to bed, and Pix can suck my sphincter.

Frustrating, I know. This has pretty much been every game for me since the monthly reset, and most of my games since I hit Master 3 four weeks ago.
What league are you in? Do you have any healer bots in your hangar?
Just a little anecdote to support your observation about game results ... when I get really, really disgusted with the endless beatdowns, I put in a hangar full of garbage bots — underleveled silver bots with crappy underleveled weapons, and I’ll play a few games like a total moron. I’m like, fine, you want me to lose that badly, let’s see how badly I can lose. And I end up winning most of them. Or should I say, my team ends up winning most of them. Makes no sense, but it never fails. So yeah, I play my butt off and lose, or play like an imbecile and win, what exactly is my role really in all this. What is the point of trying to play well and win games, when you’re totally at the mercy of some unknown entity that determines wins and losses regardless of your contribution to the team.

OP, Imagine an 100 league cup band that you belong to. Say you are sitting in the middle of the band. For arguments sake lets say you are sitting on 4000 league cups. The band than extends from 3950 to 4050. While you are in the band you will get a maximum of -13 cups for a 6th place loss. You are not likely to get 32ish league cup award for a big win (can happen but rare, the win would have to be big). You start winning. Big or small makes no difference. When you reach the top of the band you will be eligible for -22 point loss. If you keep winning past the top of your band than the band moves with you. Eg you climbed to 4100 than the bottom of the band will be at 4000. The -22 loss award is there with you.
If you lose down to 4050 than suddenly you will be eligible for the +32 cup league advancement if you win. The position on the table is irrelevant. Even if you come last you can get 32+ cups. And if you hit the bottom you maximum loss will be reduced to like -7 cups per game.
Healing bots wont help you. They will improve your league standing but all you will be doing is shifting the band higher and eventually you will be in the same situation. Very quickly. The way out is to have a really good meta hanger where you can outgun most. What a surprise ehy. Alternatively 2 or 3 big losses does away with such nuances.
The loosing string is another matter. The matchmaker, probably by design and allocates teams so that you lose. However, this normally happens to people who come first or second (on the loosing team) during those loss cycles. Interestingly, the loss cycles can be interrupted by having two or three big losses.

don't worry about league and league advancement. the daily league silver bonus doesn't increase proportionally to the requirements of maintaining or building a champ hanger.
worry about silver. design your hanger around the game style you like. IE., beacon rush should be designed around damage output, domination requires speed and damage, TDM requires ranged builds. have bots built so you can switch games types when one game type is giving you the finger. don't build your hanger to be homogenous, a br hanger should have a couple flex builds, multipurpose range and cqb builds like tazer or MG builds. likewise, dom and tdm require cqb builds for when reds bum rush the hoose.
beacon rush will give you the quickest out. drop in, unload, bot out, move on. don't take it personally, the game is designed in part to balance teams and in part to piss you off. funny how you always come first in a losing match? MM is suspiciously funny that way.
winning is an illusion. you wouldnt be posting and complaining here if you were "winning". you're posting because you're a f2p or g2p player, a guy with freemium bots and gear. you can't win. this game is not an open league, skill v skill game. it's more like F1. bring your bankroll. understand what it is and learn to beat it. or at least, live with it.

funny how you always come first in a losing match? MM is suspiciously funny that way. I dont think OP said that but i did :-) Others have mentioned this anomaly as well. I was recently on a lose in first or second spot string (solo games). Went on for ever. The longest string was about 12 games where i was mostly first in the loosing team and occasionally second. I am collecting data on the next such string to have hard data. I dont think such occurrences are due to normal statistical fluctuation (eg, statistically, on average, if you toss a coin 4096 times you will likely end up with 12 heads in a row). The issue here tho, if you take all the likely outcomes which are win 1st place, win second place, lose first place and lose second place than the odds of that loss string happening are astronomically low. Inserting numbers, that would be 4 to the power of 12 which equates to 1 of those strings in 16,777,216 games. When this sort of string happens frequently the likelihood of such outcomes becomes almost impossible. It is almost impossible with the 16M number. If you were to assume that the possible outcomes on the table are 12 than we are dealing with utterly silly odds. The MM-er is either rigged (i think it is) or has a programming issue that produces such side effects.

Don't offer Pix to suck anything. You'll attract developers, and never get rid of them.
