Ever wondered what a hot, greasy, gummy-yummy, melted and coated cheese do to a 「meow」? So did I these last couple of hours, so I, decided to test it.
I used that industrial cheapish gouda, cut in index finger thickness.
Made coating with flour, 3 eggs with a pinch of salt and dry bread crumbs.
Keep your cheese at room temperature, cover it with flour, next I use 2 forks to drown it in eggs to keep my fingers clean. Then cover it with crumbs and tap all around it gently. Then put it in the eggs again and back to crumbs. You need a thick coating for cheese so everything wouldn't melt out...
I would usually make a coleslaw, but I'm limited with ingredients selection today, so I'm frying also industrial precooked fries... Not much with those fries, heat up high a lot of oil and put fries in it, when they turn golden, get them onto a net to let the oil drip away, get some salt onto them, stir them up and they're ready. Should I do How to make killer homemade fries from real potato post?
Cheese also has to be fried in very hot oil, don't leave them in more than 30 - 40 seconds and spin them around with forks gently while they fry, be careful not to puncture them because the cheese will melt out. You'll see them turn brownish and like inflate a bit, then they're done and you'll get this
At this time I, was just finishing my beer, non alcohol one, and my wife saw what I was doing, and totally coincidentally started to do, her bikini dance to some old track from TV... True story, we just came home from beach and she was still in her bikini. Was hot as 「fluffernutter」, I knew I was going to totally get laid!
Well anyways, as addition to cheese, prior to frying, I made my version of Tartar sauce. Used half an onion and same amount of sour pickles, finely chopped into a paste like matter.
Add it into a bowl, add a pinch of salt and pepper and then add 3 - 4 generous soup spoons of sour cream and 2 spoons of mayo, stir it well, cover it and leave it at a room temperature
That's it, we served non- alcohol pilsner beer with it, and I had inevitable ketchup for fries. Wife was eating hers with mayo... Idk, I spent half of my life giving mayo fries a chance after a chance, and they were never IT for me...
But it was gooood!
Tips&Trics (What I learned today)
Well, It's enough for today's wife's to see melted cheese and they're 「( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)」 immediately...
Also, when you use a big sharp knife to chop stuff, use the part of the blade closer to handle, avoid getting that pointy end close to your fingers... Clean up after yourself, making that coating will make a huuge mess, and no 「meow」 for you then
