A while back in 2017 I got frustrated and left for 6 months. I came back, switched from iOS to Android , did good but got frustrated again even though I had a Hellburner before they were the thing. Came back about 6 months later (right when Ares came out). Thinking the game was going to ?dookie? but I said third time if I go, I'm done for real. There hasn't been a third time. They cleaned up the Ares. They cleaned up the Leech with Titans. But they haven't cleaned up the Titans..
Right now, the only thing that could have made me quit but won't is Titans. I just know when I see that silliness that's just what it is, silliness. I can enjoy beating them more, and I don't have to feel ashamed to lose.
So my revelation, is that while you could quit, I don't know why you began in the first place. I just remember why I started, and I pace myself, that's the key, pacing. I may play 1 game on a given day. Big deal. I may play 20 the next. Whatever.
My other revelation, is that the game changed. It's the same game, but you have to roll with the changes to prevail. So even though I didn't get a leech, phantom, ao Jun, Ravana, or Loki I did experience the need to change my own gameplay to face them. Like it or not, I figured it out and I wasn't sure if "meta" was really the problem. Part of the problem, but then again they fixed that issue with Titans and created a whole other problem.
My final revelation, is that if I didn't care and I didn't power up my Titans, I wouldn't have to deal with the problem (as much). And that's mostly true. Are you gonna get taken? Of course. But how much is on you somewhat, keep pushing it and that's all you'll encounter.
Your call. If you dig in just agree you'll need calm patient skill to beat your adversary. If you don't dig in, at least you're not asking for it.
When you're at 5000 rank you have a choice of sitting around there or going up. I choose to sit around here. Every monthly reset I have to deal with its PMS and crazy matchmaking. That's trivial. As the month goes on you basically hold the gates of Champion instead of going in. That's the way I see it.
I don't like to whine. If there's a danger on the battlefield I dissect it and perform surgery. Don't just stand there and think a maxed out weapon is gonna do you any good when your opponent is using cover, dodging, timing you.
I can whine about mistakes of matchmaker but I can't whine about the brutally good games I have. I could whine about the level disparity but then I'd just be selling myself short.
TL'DR summary the game might seem like a money grab, cause guess what runs the roost? But originally they had to make a game to attract a dollar, so ya know what, just remember that and take what's given and turn it around into something better.
