That’s really good to know. I have a bunch of 1.10 Orkans just sitting around and found building from workshop then leveling any Cryo weapons takes a ton of silver and patience, neither of which I have in great supply. I don't think the damage comparison takes into account reload time for the rockets though. If I remember correctly, the Orkans reload significantly slower than the cyros. I believe the numbers in the comparison are burst only. I'm prepared to be corrected though. the cryo reloads 3s quicker but regardless, you can replace a 8-9 cryo with a 2.4 orkan

Not that I plan to bring my Orkans back out, but could you clarify? Are you saying a 1/12 Orkan is roughly equivalent to a 1/10.5 Cryo or are you comparing a 2/12 Orkan to the Cryo?
If it's the former, it's not a horrible trade as a placeholder. If the latter, yuck.
The latter 2.12 is equal to 10 1/2(somewhere between 10 and 11) But, when you consider the price, it may be better to just keep high level Orkans. They combine well with cryogenic. Lv10 cryo is 72M to upgrade, not considering workshop cost which is 30M. Add 43M more for lv11, subtract 32M for lv9. 2.4 Orkan is a better deal than max Orkan, it's 65M A 2.4 Orkan is a little past a lv9 cryo. The silver invested is about the same, lv9 cryo is 40M to upgrade and 30M to build, 2.4 Orkan is 65M to upgrade and 500 gold for mk. Ultimately I would take the quick route with the Orkans if I had them already leveled and did not intend on taking the cryogenic past 10. Ok...I have 1.9 CRYOS on my GALE and 1.12 ORKANS on my RAVANA... Comparing "alpha damage" the numbers come out close... What am I missing? Would I do better to swap an ORK and a CRYO?

If you're not gonna level cryo past 9 there's no dire reason to build more. That's about it.

Totally agree on focusing on the non-damage categories. Ever since i got a Nightingale I've gotten a big bump to HP, don't even need to break out the Loki

For those with marginal hangers (such as mine) here are two more examples of where the principles I referenced in the OP can help to meaningfully overcome lack of damage.
Example #1
This fight occurred on the Moon map. I took both of our home beacons then chipped in taking C from the Reds. I spent the vast majority of my time in the match taking/retaking our home base beacons or underneath C supporting the high-damage folks with my Mender. Take note that I had the penultimate damage score.
Example #2
This fight occurred on the Desert map. For this example, it's interesting that I dealt 90k more damage than in Example #1 and ended up with 66 more Honor points, but still came in 3rd. Considering 20 kills and the vast majority of damage dealt came from the top two Blues, I'm not surprised I was only 3rd.
Notable, though, that I only had 1 kill vs 5 and 4 for the #4 an #5 Blues while dealing a good bit less damage than either (particularly #4).
Summary: This isn't about self-glorification. This is further proof that you don't need a max hanger to yield respectable Honor totals and gold payouts.

Everyone’s win rate is around 50. Everyone finishes top 3 at the beginning of the beatdown from 60%. The MM is designed to nerf your team and buff your enemies if you win too much. I see Tyrs out there in low champ (8k) but if you have to build something from the ground up why not make it a Nightingale? I mean what’s the difference? I get that you don’t want to chase meta but if you are building something from scratch might as well build the best... I'm at 80% though.....but I "cheat" by playing when everyone in my timezone is at work,
But I digress...
I completely agree that the Nightingale is the best healer in the game and with the Legendary Pilot as well as the right skill sets, can last nearly an entire game if play well.

I duo A LOT. So that games the system lol. Usually people with stronger hangars than mine... I pull my weight in objectives but don’t expect scores over 3 million from me...

Here's another one. This time on Power Plant.
Again, I had the penultimate damage score but came out #2 in Honor by playing the system to max my Honor output. In this, case, I was #5 damage by a wide margin.
So how'd I get that score? #1 beacons, #1 durability repaired, a lot of points due to capturing a lot of beacons, and a small amount for the healing I provided. That was 968 pts of my total right there.
And what was the payout? Not shabby. The silver wasn't great because the damage dealt wasn't all that good. Still I got #2 in Champ league with my very subpar hanger.
