Looking for your thoughts on the best pilot skills for a buildout of Ao Jun / Yang Lee / 2x MK2.4 Avengers. Running Last Stand, Phase Shift, TR, and NR modules.
Pilot is at Level 20 and I just won 5k gold from Gold box (cards) and looking for guidance on pilot skills.
Note: I searched for a thread on this but could not find one.
Any suggestions on pilot skills are appreciated.

The Holy Trio is pretty good for almost any bot... Mechanic, Armor, and Road Hog.
BUT... skills I would consider using in that build if I was trying to be competitive in addition to those are:
Avenger Sharpshooter
Wonderworker
Possibly ARH.
Possibly one of the Beacon capping boosts if you use it for beacons a lot... probably the Defense one, Invulnerable Raider
Any of these 3 if you rely on PS in your fights: FHQM, Dodger, Modules Expert.
IMO, YMMV

So many things to consider? When do you usually spawn it? If it’s first in rotation use no adamant skills. Beacon cap skills are also not really good for an Ao Jun either.
Skill 1. Legendary Quantum Radar 2,3 and 4 holy trinity 5. Sharpshooter. 6. Modules Expert
The Legendary Ao Jun pilot should have at least 5 skills imo. If you can ever afford a 6th use modules expert. I run it with death mark and watch titans melt. It recharges at about the same rate as your flight so you don’t need to decrease module cooldown.

The first 2 should be NO MATTER WHAT.

Agree with mechanic and road hog. The rest depends on which level is the target. For me, foolhardy quartermaster and modules expert are very important skills. If I'm up against a titan, this allows me to phase shift twice for 8 seconds. I also tend to go for quartermaster, as green crack isn't in unlimited supply.
Extra HP is always nice, but it isn't that crucial one the Ao Jun for me. I never use gunsmith. The bonus on the damage isn't enough to merit the investment. With healing, extra HP usually pays off more.

Overlordship For an Avenger Yang? I'm slowly building one up, but this is what I prioritized for my Adrian Avenger Ao Jun Priorities: Eyeball (given) Sharpshooter Speedshooter (you wanna dump all your rounds and reload for the next strafing run) Mechanic Road Hog or Armour Expert Depends how much Gold you're willing to spend on the Pilot TBH

OP was asking for an Avenger Ao Jun, so 1 and arguably 2 skills need to be dedicated to Avengers.

I am pretty happy with that skill set and have no plans to promote him further, well not until I have surplus Au and nothing better to do with it.

You want to be within 500m, where you can fire at titans if they don't look at you, or fire over obstacles blocking your body from a flying Ming. If you hide and always land in a safe place or stay away 600m from those plasma Mings, then you're wasting most of your flying time. And of course one primary objective is to get beacons when titans are out, because they're slow and need an eternity to get somewhere. All this requires you to cross open space sometimes. (Of course I play mostly Dom.)
Avenger Ao Jun needs sharpshooter, correct. I don't waste a skill on speedshooter though.

Considering it takes several full passes to down a lvl 150 AM, yeah I’ll be trying my best to keep my highest damaging bot alive by hiding. If I want to run beacons I’m not doing it in an Ao Jun, unless it’s flybys of Center on Carrier. I have Loki for that. One of AJs main weaknesses is it’s inability to cap beacons, due to low footspeed and high target priority. I play a lot of Dom too, spending 80pcs to cross open spaces or correct a bad landing is too much.

Hiding is the game of Zenit Nori Natashas or more recently Vortex Spectres, players that might get their damage in but cause the team to lose because they won't push beacons. Obviously the trick is to know when to go for beacons, and when to hide, but a good player will do either depending on the situation. The fact that you won't consider going for beacons in your Ao Jun is, well, curious. I've seen so many games go down the drain because we were down on beacons and players were content to hang back in their AMs or AJs, doing damage from afar and waiting for the beacon bar to run out.
I don't have a Loki, don't want one, and a beacon can easily be the difference between a win and a loss. AJs can cap beacons just fine, if they have to. And yes, I will spend 60 pc to get a beacon if the game is on the line. In other occasions a phase shift or two allow me to take flight one extra time or to evade other bots long enough to reload and kill my opponent. If I don't need it, it's just one more weapon that I can use if I want to. Phase shift is immensely valuable, IMO much more valuable than 5% extra damage.

If I need to, I’ll ditch whatever bot to spawn Loki and start running beacons. I’ll hover a beacon to keep it Blue, or cap any I can while in flight, but my AJs main job is damage, not capping. My bot order is usually Phantom, then Leech or Ao Jun to hold beacons or kill reds, then Loki or Mender or Arthur as needed. I don’t “hang back.” If I’m fighting Titans I definitely get within 350 for the Dragon Breath. Wasn’t really debating Master Gunsmith vs Module skills. I also find Speedshooter necessary for maximum dps and unload. Also helps to ramp up when fighting Ravanas.

Ahem, new Jun owner here, as of this morning. *smug smile* I converted my Yang Lee from loki pilot to his new ride and picked up foolhardy first go and after a couple of reslections dodger. They'd both work well together with phase shift which I'll be using should I keep em?
