I was at 420 IQ before playing this game and it’s at 69 now. LOL, you said 69. He he! Wait, what’s this thread about again?

Well I told myself I should not post on this one, but what the hell...
My wife is in neuropsychology, doing another PhD now on gifted kids with learning disabilities (so called "twice exceptional" kids). She's the expert, not me, but what follows is all scientifically proven.
Wechsler IQ tests are extremely robust up to around 150, then it is not powerful enough to discriminate over that. So be very careful when numbers over 150 get stated (especially with non adults). Online tests are worthless by the way, apparently you get a lot of information by looking at the way the person getting tested manage to get through the test.
100 is the population average, 15 is 1 standard deviation. So 130 is 2 standard deviation above average, 145 is 3 standard deviations over average (or 0.135% of the population), these persons are called gifted and highly gifted by most school systems (not mine ...), and need specific school programs to develop well (again not in my school system, the teachers union decided it didn't exist in classic Marxist orthodoxy). Otherwise drop out rates, depressions and suicide goes up. Also above 145 (and probably above 135) you are LESS likely to keep a high responsibility job (many reasons : you don't fit in, you are most likely to have a learning disability that stayed under the radar, you are more likely not to have learn to get organised to get work done, etc)
It is also very difficult to understand well people who are >1 standard deviation above or over your score. So to the OP keep that in mind while looking for a soulmate.
So very high IQ is by no means a gift, it's a two edged sword. It is also highly genetic, so are the learning disabilities.
For the record : >150 with attention deficit disorder, ICU doctor, not depressed (because my wife and many of my coworkers fit that pattern).

High IQ, doesn't make up for common sense. BTW, "common" sense isn't that common either.

Doesn't IQ stand for "I Quit"? I've only quit the game once, so I guess my IQ is 1.
(Kinda hoping IQs are like golf...)

TL;DR: IQ is like a trouser wiener, it ain't how big it is, it's how you use it.

When I was five, I skied into a tree, knocked myself out and scored myself a spot in some NIH study that was about who knows what. They payed me a hundred bucks every year to come in and take a bunch of different tests, along with a MRI. I don’t remember much about it, but what I do know is that in order to get an idea of how smart I was they tested me for hours, not just pen and paper stuff but memory and logic tests, and all sorts of puzzles, not to mention a gazillion dollar brain wave machine. I just looked it up, and the first online iq test that pops up has this on its home page - “You can practice IQ tests, it will not make you more intelligent but it will increase your IQ score”, which just fills you up with confidence about those iq tests. My two cents - most iq tests are just another thing you can be good at, and you’re never going to find out how smart you are by taking one of those tests, just how well you can take a test. If you really want to know, you’re gonna have to talk to Mig-Am’s wife.

Crashed into a few on my mountain bike and it certainly did not improve mine.

If you really want to know, you’re gonna have to talk to Mig-Am ’s wife. You can only take a given test once, then it is "burned" and you need to use an alternate tests, which means you practitioner needs to have paid access to it, and at least in my province needs to have been trained to use it. In my province actual test content candidate is a protected by law, otherwise people could have access to them and train to have either high or low test results. Over here practitioners are also prohibited to give specific IQ scores, but some have ways to give you a range without giving you actual numbers, you only need to put together 3 or 4 things they explain to you ... You can also score lower than you should on robust IQ tests because of some learning disabilities (my wife's field of interest) or attention deficit disorder (very common amongst gamers by the way). Bottom line : be careful with what you find online...

Two broken helmets cycling in the last 10 years : one broken chain sprinting at 50ish kph on road bike, and one new jump ramp that actually needed some more work while mountain biking (also broke my bike frame with that one)
