That's like saying people only come here to rant and complain. I remember when I first came here. It was a friendly and fun place (still is, don't get me wrong). Back then, there wasn't that much complaining - other than Hydra and sniper builds. If anything, the enforcing of the CoC is trying to get back to that happy place. Is it really so bad that we want this forum to be a cool relaxed and fun place to visit, chat and discuss War Robots and other topics? Is it wrong to cut down on the negativity? I don't know about most people, but I play to be entertained, and I come to the forum to share my experiences, good and bad, and it's another form of entertainment. I have enough going on in my life - as I'm sure most folks do - to want to come to my "fun place" and have to deal with more negativity, anger and hate. the one thing that bugs about the new COC is suppressing jabs at Pixonic, that has always been a difference with this forum and the "shill" one. dont ban me....

I've been lurking lately. Haven't had a reason to start a thread and haven't commented much since literally EVER OTHER THREAD is about a robot that's not even in the game.

I am here but mostly observing. Unsubbed from the War Robots reddit. Have not played a single game since weeks. I am not sure wether it was because I had a lot of work lately or because I just don't want to continue. Even when I had time I prioritized playing other games or watched YouTube. I always had War Robots in the back of my mind, and I always though about: "I want to upgrade this, produce that", but I just could not make myself sit down and play to get the silver. Even just thinking about that I have to play makes me feel bad. I'd reather play against bots/AI. I am just done with having to play against Titans every single game, and since I hate pretty much everything that they did since and including the economy changes in 2018, I think this was the final straw. I am not referring to robots, I don't have a huge problem with any of the robots. Sure, some of them are better than others in the same price bucket, but you can kill them with timing and skillfull positioning. All the other new "fun" game mechanics they added however disgusts me and makes me vomit. I may play a 1 bot hangar to mech out before seeing them but I'd reather have game modes without those ?fluffernutter?ers. Come to 6 Paaaaaaaaack! Never a titan will you see! It's just coms, good teammates and a level playing field!

It could also be that lockdowns are being scaled back and the weather, at least where I am, is really nice so people are just more inclined to do things other than hang around an online forum all day.

I agree. For me, I think part of it is simply...how many time do we need to read about ?fluffernutter?ing teammates who wonâ??t get beacons...or (Insert month) SuperChest...or OMG...the lag...the lag...the lag Yet, when you bring up other things, the moderators hammer you because they are forbidden in the COC...not to mention the game is getting to be about as exciting as watching whales mate. Just one fellaâ??s opinion... He said “whales”

I gotta ask, have we REALLY come down hard on people? Were our bans not justified? Hell, the Reported post section has been a literal ghost town lately and I'm loving that. People literally flew into a tizzy when we announced that we were going to enforce the CoC more strictly, but many never stopped to think about it or look at what we've done here. As for certain ex-members. All I can say is that I really don't know what's going on in their lives and I make huge allowances for the fact that people might be suffering from a lot of stress. But, a lot of ex-member posts seemed to descend deeper and deeper into a rabbit hole - as if they could no longer tell real world from game world and could not let go of the anger they felt. They seemed to lose sight of the fact that the game and this forum are two separate entities. Complain about the game all you want, but do it in a mature, rational manner. Disagree with other members but do so in a respectful manner. That's all we really ask. Is that so hard? Fair enough, not hating on anything. It's just we lost quite a lot of "colourful" members ever since the CoC and that's dulled things around here for me. Listening to those guys go off was great entertainment for me Color, no?

Is that so hard? the one thing that bugs about the new COC is suppressing jabs at Pixonic, that has always been a difference with this forum and the "shill" one. dont ban me.... Hey...that's a jab at us!!! More jabs at Pixonic please! Honestly, we don't mind negative commentary towards the game developer. We have it ourselves often. The issues come when it's just beating a dead horse. Case in point: the thread earlier in the week about how the new operations was the worst yet from a gear standpoint. That's helpful! People can read through it and decide for themselves if they think it's worth it or not. But why have 17 threads all saying Pix sucks (literally just that, but with slightly more detail added)? It's like, "Ok, we get it, you don't like Pix and your mad they ruined the game for you...anything else to say?" I miss some of the people that don't post on here as often. I know folks that have left the game and don't post here anymore. Two of my favorite former mods, Poopface and DarkVagabond are no longer on here and have left the game. I also miss posters like HappyFunBall who deleted his account and Rollo Tomasi who's cut back his time here. But I don't regret the changes we've made. There may be less activity, but what's left is more constructive, helpful and beneficial for those looking to improve themselves in this game. That's the intended purpose of the forums IMO. It's why I originally came here myself back when I was a wee Destrier.

OK, this is going to "Trigger" some folks probably, but... there is just too much Political Correctness and Hypersensitivity with people here(not quite as bad as it used to be) and in real life. It gets really old trying to figure out how to express something and not to offend people nowdays. There is just no middle ground anymore. Also, now that the quaratine for this over-exaggerated flu is being relaxed some. People are getting back out and doing more normal real life stuff. That would slow down game/forum activity a good bit also.

Um, plenty of people are still poking jabs at Pixonic. IMO Pix absolutely deserves some criticism and pushback every once in awhile just to vent the endless frustration over their greed, but Iâm not down with the constant toxicity that some guys spew 24/7. Reality is toxic enough these days, I donât need more from a game forum. Pix is crooked, the world is crooked, blah blah blah...just shoot some 「dookie」 and have some laughs, itâs a game.

If I check the analytics then we are steady. Everything is fine. Actually it looks like this going back years if I did the work to keep resetting the dates. We had an uptick in mid-late april but that's when we had a big update with the Nodens release, the new weapons (atomizer, quarker, nucleon, cyclone, cataclysm) came out and their was balance changes to weapons like Tsar and Avenger. So there was a lot of chatter.

Could be over saturation.
Oh look another post about how "x" ruined the game. Oh look another post about annoying teammates. Oh look another post about whales. Oh look another post about the next thing that will ruin the game. Need I go on?
Personally it's just boring to see dead horses repeatedly kicked over and over again. It's likely a natural result of how toxic the game is, whether you enjoy it or not I think we can all admit that this game brings out a lot of frustration, it's intentional, it's part of the toxic monetization strategies pixonic uses, Oh look another comment on the toxic monetization, how original.
One of the things I enjoyed was discussing stats and balance changes, but at this point that doesn't seem nearly as interesting, the most fun I think I had was my "social experiments", which I think most people had a good laugh at, the faux test server announcement was a knee slapper.
For me it's also just that I'm moving onto better games, Been playing quite a lot of Titanfall 2 lately, which quite frankly puts the mech combat in this game to shame, in combination with a very fluid and enjoyable fps experience. It's literally 5-10 dollars on pc right now, which is what I play on, similar prices on xbox one I believe and it's free on playstation. and the community is very different, respawn has a track record of being very consumer friendly, and the reddit is all passionate people who love the game, it's refreshing. The system requirements arent too insane to run it I believe so I highly recommend trying it out, it's worth the price for the excellent campaign alone, but trust me you'll enjoy the multiplayer, just get ready to mostly play attrition unless you want longer wait times.

The forum has appeared slower to me in number of original posts and replies. I get a chuckle now and then still though. I havent posted much in the past two weeks because my cable modem broke. Cable company was fairly useless in getting a new one, so I bought one. Anyway, maybe a few other regular posters have lost connection recently, one way or another. A contributory factor maybe? I also picked up an offline playable rpg so that takes time away from War Robots (See my topic in Off Topic/Other Games). I still enjoy the game and do miss some of the colorful banter and informative members of this little niche in the gaming internet.

It is not “dead” but it sure smells funny! Seriously, though, same great content as far as information goes but lost some of its zip since the changes. I just ignored the personal stuff and rolled my eyes at some of the bodacious comments but overall the banter was entertaining. Moderators seem to be doing their best and I appreciate and applaud their efforts. (Not kissing butt for a future Scorpion or Hawk giveaway!)

To much 「female dog」ing and moaning about the same old stuff, nurf this, opertion aint worth it, x is ruining the game, P2W guys are never on my team, MM is bad etc. It might be entertaining to a point but it gets a bit stale after a while and there's been a lot of it lately. I do empathise with those who have had a rough in game experience, we all have those bad games sometimes. If its gotten quiet around here maybe its because people have grown tied of complaining.
I really get a lot out of the build advice, the shared stories on gaming experience, shared strategic advice, game play vids.
If you can't say anything nice, shut up and play the game, that's what I've been doing.

We lost a lot of good and active folks ever since the Rules got more rigid/enforced. I predicted this would happen lol. I think a lot more forumities and ex-members to come back/get active if the rules get relaxed again. Just my personal opinion. Yeah, I've seen some tepid evidence of the above. "I" am happy with the way things are run but I guess some people like a looser environment.

Not that someone cares but I haven't been activs lately because I lost my interest in the game for now. Every match feels the same, and the more Ravana starts to appear (due prizes and ws) the more repetitive and boring the game is becoming. Specially if you're the only player in the match who runs different things just for variety and you can't even scratch the enemy player.
So without playing that much anymore I ran out of thing to say.

Some things killing the game for people
If one thing will kill it, it's general performance. If a remaster gets worse, I would be out.

Forum is dead cuz all ur allowed to do is kiss pixonics rear end. The CoC was an excuse to ban anyone you don’t like. It's not dead and won't be as many times as you want to say it. I just posted admin stats above that show threads are still being created at the EXACT same rate as always. And membership is solid. If anything I'd say member requests are way up. Every time I log in (2 - 3 times/day) there's 5 to 10 more people asking to join. It wasn't like that earlier this year. it's actually tiring because we have to check them out that they're not returning banned members or spammers/advertisers. The CoC changed in part to stop posters like you from pouncing on some poor guy that spends $50 on event tokens and has a good result or if they have anything positive say about something pixonic does. You're still allowed to disagree, but not in your belligerent style. Further, the CoC doesn't stop anyone from getting upset with or debating over pixonic's decisions as long as it's kept clean and respectful to other posters.

That would slow down game/forum activity a good bit also. I agree with this wholeheartedly, writing about anything even remotely political is hard to do without seeming biased in one way or another. But as soon as you mention how hard it is to post an inoffensive opinion, you then decide to refer to the coronavirus as “this over-exaggerated flu”. I’m not saying you’re not entitled to an opinion, but when it comes to opinions, especially political ones, people tend to disagree. In the interest of keeping discussions civil, I try to refrain from talking about anything besides the game. I have no problem with the points you make, but how you choose to present them makes a difference. Simply choosing to replace coronavirus with “over-exaggerated flu”, replacing a name with (at least here in the US) a political viewpoint, is the difference between a completely fine post and one that will “Trigger” some folks.
