Yes, thank you. Guess this means I need to put grinding for silver on my to-do list today. Trying to max out Last Stand on my Phantom.

Good, I have 5M silver >.>
I've got like ten more tier 2 upgrades from 8 to 9... 6M each..
I think five tier 3 from 7 to 8...
and seven tier 4 from 7 to 8
that's about it. handful of tier 1 from 9 to 10. I'd stop right there. Basic passives? Maybe finish when I'm dead...

This is just annoying to be honest, in the past three weeks there has been two events meaning lots of folks have been cleaned out of Ag, then they run this?

Thanks for the heads up.
I’m going to rush upgrades like a madman. I typically use the Upgrade Overdrives to take bots/weapons from lvl 9 on up to higher lvls. Sure it costs gold, but I save a lot in silver.
I think the savings allow me to experiment with builds more as well as feel less regret when plans don’t quite work out. My wasps have all been upgraded past lvl 5/6 during the Overdrives.

I’m sure the thinking at Pixonic home base, is ‘drain them of silver’. It will make those willing to spend real money spend it on silver...

25% cheaper isn't that great a deal...it's really only good for kicking off those really expensive ones, and then it's usually not worth the gold to speed that up in order to do more than on. I liked the 2x faster upgrade overdrive better. I managed to upgrade a bunch of stuff last time to playable levels and used about half my silver savings.

It’s mostly for upgrading premium modules (since they only take 2 days and you can speed at least 40hrs per day, saving 10 million for each upgrade), with one bigass bot or weapon upgrade at the end

Hmm now the Question for me will be should I just finished leveling my Phantom from MK2 lvl9 to 12 or get my Nightingale from 10 to 12

It is also good for those expensive LV 12 items IMO.

gonna roll 3 Gold chest which i usally do at the end of the month and "Hope" i land on 10million Ag twice as usal. for some reason i always get Ag when i roll Gold Chest, not that i'am complaining.

After the Rush weekend reading the post of those who had spent most if not all their available Ag, I was tempted to post my feeling that this weekend would have another Overdrive because I'm cynical like that, but I held my tongue. I also have depleted resources, but hey, I'll do a couple upgrades. Maybe we'll have Upgrade Overdrives more often. If it becomes a regular occurrence, I can plan ahead. Of course, I don't see the benefit for PIX so they'll keep running Rush's and Overdrives whenever they see revenues slide and keep us in the dark long enough to keep us from deriving the most benefit for us and encourage the frantic purchase of Ag in hopes of gaining some imagined bargain on something as fluid and arbitrary as costs of upgrading digital weapons which can, and have been changed periodically at the whim of PIX.

I am nearly at the top of the hill I've targeted (bots and wpns to 9). After that, I will be breathing the rarefied air of saving for these upgrade overdrive weekends to level up premium modules as well as those expensive wpn upgrades (10, but especially 11 and 12). Next month for me.

Same, and climbing. I'm trying to earn enough to get 9 premium module upgrades. That will push all my relevant modules to level 4 or better. (Relevant meaning not AC units lol)

TL:DR...so...you're not happy about discounted upgrades? Someone in clan asked me yesterday when everyone thought the next UO was coming out. I said, "I'm better 3-4 weeks at the soonest..." Less than an hour later, someone posted the notice. lol. I think we can safely say they are going to be doing these more often. I'm going to plan on seeing them once a month, which means I don't need rush a ton of upgrades and work myself to the bone to do it. If it last longer, I'll just have more Ag when the next one comes around. Honestly, this frequency is far better IMO than the 3-4/year pace they were doing a year ago.

A regular schedule would be nice so I could stockpile Ag. Even a few days notice would be nice. This time I'll MK2 a pair of STs, but I have to grind out an extra 10M Ag. I wasn't left with a lot of Ag after last weekend. At least since I have limited Ag, I won't bother rushing the upgrades too much.

I for one really appreciate the constant Upgrade Overdrives. I save a lot of silver with the discounts, and that's awesome. I also feel zero pressure to complete items within the weekend and 「dookie」 like that. Just save where I can, and move on to the next thing.

So, FWIW to everyone, I'll share my strategy for saving for these things. I've hinted at it in other threads, but I will say that it has worked for me for the last 4-5 overdrives. I always have a significant amount of Ag to use, though it's obviously less when they have these more often.
I play my regular amount each day, which is between 1-2 hours or so periodically throughout the day, usually in 30 minute chunks. Mostly I'm making sure I clear my tasks and managing my ads to maximize my free/ad based stuff. I use boosters for those 30 minute chunks to be as efficient as possible and can usually get in 4-6 games. Yes, I constantly have premium. Yes, I have constantly gotten the Operations (though I seriously considered not doing the current one.) However, while those help, I don't feel they are necessary for this strategy to work. They help, but don't drive it.
The biggest thing I do though (assuming regular play), is that I almost never speed an upgrade when not in an upgrade overdrive. I use all of the time available during the upgrade to refill my coffers. The only time I really speed anything is right before bed (if the upgrade will be done in middle of sleeping) or if I am going to be away from my phone when an upgrade will finish (work meetings...nuff said). That's it. Patience and consistency. I know it sounds easy to say when the overdrive arrives and it certainly isn't always easy to do, but it works.
Also, since you're not using those ads for upgrades, you can ensure you make them available for using for free Ag, namely the battle crates. I'm fortunate enough to have a phone and tablet with my account on both. That enables me to max out at 3.5 mil Ag/day for free! I don't even have to play for that if I don't want to. They give you 9 free ads/day too. One free crate, 3 ads/device and 2 devices = 3.5 million. Add that up over a month and that ~100 mil Ag/month or 1.2 BILLION Ag/year. Yes, Pix gives us that much free Ag.
Anyway, that's my strategy. I hope others can benefit from it.
