Seems stock beta weapons are best but what about the alpha weapon? Have Tsar (splash) and Cataclysm (range) as well.

Random thoughts:
X4 on a Nodens is pretty good...
The main drawback is their reload times. Once you let loose your load... you're sitting around with some pretty lame Pew Pew for a while. This is why it's a passable option on the Nodens sice it can still benefit the team from behind cover, while it reloads, by healing and suppressing.
I did not like them on the Arthur or Kid... All weapons at level 10 or 11. I tried them with Tsar, Cataclysm, and Vengence, and didn't like Rupture paired with any of them.
I have an unleveled Ming that I ended up throwing them on with a pair of Tsars in my TDM hangar. You can land when you need them to reload while in a Ming, and since there are no beacons I can pretty much decide when, how, and where I attack/defend. They do a bit better there.
On the Kid and Arthur, you are typically making pushes out in view of anyone who wants to take a shot... and I just found Retaliators worked better, overall, for them.
IMO, YMMV
EDIT... just realized, several weeks later, that you weren't talking about Ruptures. DOH!

From the other end of the barrel (I have an Arthur), they don't seem very good. A pair of Tsars on the other hand is an absolute nightmare.

I am thinking the opposite question, concluded the vengeance was the best Alpa now trying to figure out the best Beta. Have maxed the Vengeance and its a beast on the Arthur. Will probably end up sticking with the retaliators but going to max some modules first.
I don't think the Vengeance would be the best on other Titans, but the Arthur does sustained fire very well. I use mine to push and hold beacons and having a big machine gun than they tear apart whatever is there and send most everything else running for cover, is very useful.

I run a leadhose Arthur. Does it shred everything all the time? Heck no. But as many have said here before, leadhose Arthur is probably the most bang-for-the-buck as far as Titans go.
The weapons lay down a ton of suppressing fire, hurt when they hit and come FREE with the bot. One reason I stayed away from the French AM is that it costs 700 x 5 = 3500 Pt just to start! My leadhose Arthur cost 450 to start. That is a crapton of Pt that I "saved" and I put that into 3 x Plated Armor and 1 x Antimatter.
French AMs pretty much must stay out of my range if they want to survive. So this means that not only do I control the beacon I'm on but I control a 500m swath around me.
Full disclosure: I'm still sorta new to the Arthur. Maybe 30 drops with it under my belt. There's a time and place for every bot. It's not always Titan Time!

FWIW, Cataclysm does pair well with retaliators if you win it in a titan chest. You can tickle plasma Ao Ming's at 600m. One other nice thing is the Cataclysm has a really long unload time so you're still firing that when the retaliators start reloading. Then the retaliators start firing again while the Cataclysm reloads.
Not sure I'd pay for the Cataclysm over levelling a Vengeance once you can buy the Cataclysm for Pt, but worth thinking about if you win one.

I won a Tsar in the Event, and while it's far from dominating, I love being able to nail targets behind cover and through shields. Nice to be able to maintain SOME fire during that endless Retaliator reload.
Better than Retaliator? Possibly not. Useful for variety? Definitely.

Tsar is so useful on it. The full MGs seems like the way to go but honestly the weakness is just terrible if you do. Tsar cobers all the weaknesses of the MGs (other than range) while also being useful in the other roles. Let me explain: full MGs has the problem of no weapons after you unload, tsar has a consistant firerate that is strong enough to hold off or kill most enemies until you reload. MGs have trouble killing ao juns who use cover well, the splash on tsar fixes that easily. You also get to save the retaliators since you can scare off or kill weaker people with just the tsar leaving the MGs for stronger opponents. The tsar also is amazing at stealing kills which is great for the honor points. Finally, this build is cheap. Sure full MGs is stock so no extra pt spending but only buying one tsar is super cheap for such a great build. It is especially good when compared to other build prices.

Once it gets 10+ people will start to scatter after recieveing a shot from it because it hits that hard. I have mine at lv 10 backed up by a lv 10 premium damage module so it may need more leveling without that.

MGs are really powerful but a little assistance for them makes it a more flexible build.

Relatively low DPS compared to the other Alphas, but it's near constant since it's every 4 seconds. Also, if you are working against a Ravana, you have to do your timing right. If you do, it can be very good because you can take large chunks off in between the abilities. You do need to watch the Ravana though. Many Ravana pilots know what you're using and are trying to trick you into firing at the wrong time, but with the Tsar you have the upper hand. You reload every 4 seconds, but their abilities will eventually run out and don't reload as fast as yours does. It's a waiting game like everyone else.

Thanks, and the Retaliators fill in the gaps between Tsar booms, right? The Retaliators do the majority of the up close damage. They are also excellent at punching through Arthur shields. This makes the enemy Arthurs vulnerable for other blues. I would happily run a Vengeance instead of a Tsar. I think both are great and the Vengeance does more damage. However, I have learned to get around the deficiencies of the Tsar. I use buildings to block incoming Vengeance fire which completely negates the power, but the Tsar has splash and can usually do so around buildings. If your're aware of your surroundings and how to use them, the Tsar can be made to be extremely versatile. Side note, I like rockets for just that reason. I'm also building a Rupture Nodens for squad play. It's the ultimate RDB.

The DPS isn't amazing although that is compensated for by the retaliators. The tsar works extremely well against ravana, you just need to be good at timing. The lower DPS means you need to try fighting other MG builds from cover but at least if they try to do the same you can actually hit them woth the tsar. The problems of tsar are easy to work around, if you do get one make sure you level it to 10 asap because that is where it starts to be good. That plus a premium dmg mod at lv 10 makes it really strong.

Getting hit with 10-20k in one shot will make people stop and back off usually. The sound seems to help as well.

I'm still interested in Tsar but this pre-buff video is interesting: Oh yeah, the other rockets weapons SUCK against titans. They are burst weapons against something with tons of health so there isn't a competition. Thats why you go tsar retaliators since they cover what the other rockets can't.

2x Tsar is killer. Mine are only 1 and stock kits but I like it.
I know you could push 1x Tsar up there with 500 PT. And if you had leveled kits already, it would smack from an Arthur with Retaliators.

I see a lot of votes for Vengeance up there.
I shredded 2.5 Mings last night in Powerplant with a maxed Vengeance. I hear that Tsars stuggle with Mings. If this is true it's tempting to stay with Vengeance. As with many things in War Robots it's a Rock/Paper/Scissors matter.
Still deliberating...

oof, reading through this thread is serious food for thought.
Strongly thinking of getting a Tsar for the very good reasons laid out. My vengeance is only level 11, because I've been concentrating on the advanced modules: two antimatters and 2 plated armour kits at level 17, so I wouldn't feel the drop as much changing weapons.
Is it like a Trident, but for a Titan? I love tridents. I have to be honest, the sound of Tsar firing is a real selling point too.

Trident rockets fly fairly fast but the tsar doesn't so you want to be close if you are going to hit anything other than a titan with it.

It is like a shield and a rapier, a rapier does really well at hurting people but because of how thin it is it can't parry well. The shield can't hurt people much but it can block extremely well. They cover each others weaknesses with their strengths. In this case the tsar holds off people during the reload and can finish weaker targets or force them out into the open with splash. The retaliators make up for the lack of damage the tsar has and can hit faster people if the tsar isn't.

Me too! I got one about 3 days ago and I'll probably try it out once I get it to lvl 20. It would be unfair to get a bad impression of it because I debut it level 5, ya know? A 4 second reload is definitely tolerable.

All, just when you thought Mr. All of Her Clothes Off didn't listen, well, I just rolled out a level 20 Tsar on my beloved Arthur. Not bad. I like it. It's another rock/paper/scissor weapon, but, I will continue to level it to 25.
Pros: Splash Splash Splash. Great against the wee bots. Deals damage directly to Arthurs regardless of their shield status. 4 second reload Can get some bots very quickly to their Last Stand Like others have said, they pair well with Retaliators They go BOOM!
Cons: Aiming, I didn't fully realize these are "dumb aiming." I do now. You have to lead and hope you come close enough. Smart AMs dodge, fake you out. :-) Slow flight time. Not mega-slow, but it can make a difference. The splash is not mega big. Sometimes close is definitely not close enough. I suspect weaker against AMs compared Vengeance. But definitely stronger against small bots and Arthurs. Fun trade-off.
Thoughts: If you have a leveled Vengeance and you are short of Pt, you can stick with your Vengeance and there's nothing to feel bad about. Try to manage the reloads on the Vengeance like you would with an Avenger/Punisher. If you have the Pt and want some variety/experimentation then this is a fun one to give a try.

I noticed right away as well that it wasn't as hard hitting as vengence but the rest of the pros are more than enough to make up for it. It is a very flexible/all rounder build that can make arthur into a real beast but it isn't amazing at any one thing so dedicated builds have you out gunned in specific situations. Really happy that this build is so cheap and effective though, and even better to hear you are loving it as much as me! Just a great feeling to know that my educated guess (I guessed this build would work well, thats why I got it) was correct.
