Why does it keep sending me to the Asia server

Welcome. I'll do my best to help you out. I don't know what the NA server is like, but if you're having more difficult matches here you'll be that much better when playing on the NA server. Of course, I don't know which is more difficult or easier or which one has more giant sea mammals or players with maxed hangars. I'm just judging by your comments.

I don't know if distance from the server has much of an effect on lag.  Computers typically work in nanoseconds, I imagine servers are switched when there is too much traffic on one server which is done to reduce the effects of lag.
