(Just wrote that international clans are more fun than country-limited ones He didn't say you have to be from Poland he said he wanted a clan that speaks Polish. I asked for an English speaking clan and wound up playing with clan mates world wide (oddly enough one guy is in Poland). Sure most of us are from the US but O'mighty represents in Poland, Canada, and the Philippines as well. In fact if you like to be while playing the game for fun (we just broke into the top 120 but we range all the way from bronze to diamond in squads because we would rather have fun than be stickers about winning all the time) and keep around 500 trophies hit us up in game.

Thing is there wouldn't be too many Canadians, Americans, Germans, Filipino, Russians, Japanese, etc there ... I've been in Polish/Polish-speaking (you may argue, but it's the same basically) clan and it was really ok, but the international clan I'm in at the moment is imo simply more fun...just my 0.02$

There are healthy sized pockets of recent Polish expatriates in New York, Toronto, etc and the UK but I imagine they typically have sufficient English to get by in an English speaking clan. If you don't happen to speak one of the lingua franca used by international clans well enough (mostly English although Spanish seems to be common too), you might need a clan that relies upon your national language (or just prefer it for comfort). It will be a less diverse group and as you say, might be less fun but it will meet the needs of some players. If my own English wasn't solid, I'd probably consider looking for a French language clan. The time zone difference with Europe would suck though.

All their best food can be found here and I absolutely love Pierogies and Paczkis.

Is the language still actively spoken in Chicago or is it more a food and cultural heritage at this point? The only place I've heard Polish spoken in Canada outside the home is a Polish neighborhood in Toronto.

cakeordeath I wouldn't be surprised if it was still spoken in certain neighborhoods, but the culture is so ingrained into the city that you don't need to go to a Polish Neighborhood to feel the influence. I don't really know the answer to this question, but many foreign languages are still the primary language in certain neighborhoods that I can confirm such as Chinatown, Ukrainian Village and Greektown.

Newly renamed clan The Mechanics formerly known as Mechs [MeC] is recruiting some active players. We are an international clan and yes, we have some polish speakers in clan, so if you could, please post more deatils of your profile and hangar.
