The aegis is so dismal that shield skills and fortifiers are pointless, although electrician would help. Focus on anything DPS or speed related, reactors, gunsmith, road hog etc
I am curious if it gets deft survivor (the 50% health free ability charge)

However it can work better than the numbers indicate. The recharge of aegis is fast, and the bot is pretty fast on it's feet. So if you play like your bones are glass...you can make it last and be somewhat effective. Sort of. Fortifier + Crazy Electrictian + Energy Shield Expert work well together. Cerberus does not get Deft Survivor as a skill option. I'd probably run foolhardy to get instant use of active module at 50% heatlh.

I’’ll keep editing the original post as I get more screenshots. Here is my pilot. Will probably switch the Energy Shield Expert to mechanic once it is leveled. Willing to see how the shield increase does but I don’t expect much, hence the switch to mechanic down the road. Could consider switching the Scout skill for mechanic or adamant road hog as well.

So, it’s the cousin of the Ares/Leech brittle bones family? Got it (scratch that off my upgrade list)

It has hella DPS though. It's not leech DPS, but it's pretty close and far more manly. IDK, glacier might be more than 2 cryo... Figure that one out.

I would give you my level 6 Cerb if it was possible.

Been giving mine a test run the last day or so with ember Taran. It packs a punch. Also the built in weapon (and at least one Taran) is low enough to hit a stealthed Loki If your aim and timing is true - very satisfying.

Since it's constantly charging as fast possible, you can avoid some (or all sometimes) damage while you retreat. But a even better Aegis and HP would be great.

It's silly that Cerberus can't use Wonderworker. It would benefit a lot, it's like a free heal module every 10 secs. Wonderworker + Mechanic would be a great combination to constant healing and free the active module space for Phase Shift.

I agree Wonderworker would be a good fit for this bot.

Fun bot with potential but 120k base health is laughable in this era. . It’s more of a free for all bot. Watch manni’s new vid of him getting like 15 kills and barley scratching the paint while doing it. If played right that bot is super savage!!!

Fun bot with potential but 120k base health is laughable in this era. This. I love everything about Cerberus except it’s max health. IMO this bot should have health stats similar to Boa or Golem at around 200k-220k. Or, maybe it’s Aegis shield could have been made much stronger? Either way low health is the only reason I won’t level it up. Kind of wish this bot would get major buff consideration from the dev.

Whenever they released bots, buffs followed. You want your Cerberus ready to go when a buff hits the fan. Level it up when you already have the bot. It is a fun ride and the pilot skills and fortifiers add a lot to the performance of the shield. I'm digging my Taran/Redeemer Cerberus. It is at level 9 like everything else in my inventory. My fortifiers are still unleveled, but stuff adds up. Pilot skills include 12,5% suppression boost, 20% shield hp and another skill that gives a 20% shield regeneration boost. That means that the shield will not have monster hp, but it will never be offline for a long time.

I've been running my level 7 Cerb with Viper/Scourge/Pulsar (yeah I know, weird setup but kinda works) for a while now and it's gotten a few godlikes. It excels against Falcons and does decently against Fenrir but if you get caught out by the 3 main meta bots Leech/Phantom/Ao Jun, it's all over in 2 seconds.
If you are lucky, they are not running AC or their PS is on cooldown and you can take them out.

While it is tempting to level it up, I don’t think this bot will receive any type of significant buff considering it’s a community bot and that Pixonic gave them away for free to everyone at operations level 60. My opinion only of course, so who knows? Plasma setup looks fun. I’d run mine with Ember/Igniter.

I'm not wasting any resources leveling mine past 1.4 right now (using L1.10/Redeemer and L1.11/Tarans) equals a meh experience that does decent damage but dies quick. If I want a peek-a-boo bot, I'll stick with my Ao Jun's/Leeches/Phantom mix. Besides, with Pixo playing god again with their upcoming 'rebalance' crap and the intro of 'Nads' the super healer/suppression Titan - I need all my Ag/Au at the ready to counter stupidness from Pixo.
The people claiming this community bot is stellar are also the ones that poured a stupid amount of either RM or resources to get it into MK2 world, pilots with at least 4 critical skills, and using MK2 weps. Big surprise folks, I could MK2 a Destrier w/MK2 sparks and lay some waste if I wanted to, but I wouldn't tout the D as a solid build out - sheesh. IMO, if you want a squishy bot, or like the mechanics of the Cerberus, or plain bored and have more resources than Midas - then roll with it. For me, I'm sitting on the sidelines eating popcorn waiting for the Ao Jun pilot and Avenger sucks threads to pop up, lol.

IMO, the Cerberus has a Commando style play tactics. You need to hug corners and pillars to make good use of its weapon and abilities to push or retreat. Most players I've seen saying it's rubbish have it at a low level. Had it in my main hangar now and it works well in Champions League. I actually waited for the upgrade discount because I can tell it will really shine once you get the Aegis shield past 30k. It's the only bot I have that's MK2 and it's was relatively cheap to get there. Got Mk1.10 Calamity/Scourge on it with 2x level 1 fortifiers.
The thing I've noticed and will need corroboration is the built in ability effect. It has 3 effects and it doesn't shoot 1 but 3 shells (I think). One each for suppression, lockdown and DOT. If your target has anti control, depending on level you will get 1, 2 or no effect at all. So you can see a target affected with DOT but not locked down, or suppressed and locked down without DOT. It's interesting.
YMMV

I have taken mine to 2.4 and I love using the bot.
I'd like to use it as a 3rd bot drop but by that stage the Titans have appeared so it's not feasible. Drop it 1st and you can be easily overrun by Phantoms and Ajs.
I do have all the good pilot skills and 2 x fortifiers (won 3 of these in the event) to take the aegis up over 50k. The scourge/Pulsar/Viper loadout can be super annoying to Mings and Kids and I think I've mentioned this before, T-Falcs absolutely hate it. I had one Falc chase me around for 3 minutes and they had to super heal a few times, eventually they chased me right into our home spawn but still would not give up chasing me until they were dead and I still had more than half health left.

I am enjoying mine. My new hobby is supressing Titans. Hopefully my more powerful teammates see that and swoop in but even if they don't it's still nice to frustrate the big bullies.
You have to get your enjoyment where you can these days.

This is def not a whale bot. Tf is your problem.

Or maybe I just miss the anticontrol flash, but I do think you can just clip a target with one of the three. Also, I agree that it's kind of funny how some players are angry that Cerb isn't an invulnerable killing machine out of the box. It's like we forgot that this game is built around leveling up.
