A maxed Fluxemoth vs a maxed French Ming, who would win. I would like to imagine this scenario relistically. So it wouldn't start at 300m distance because that would be dumb. I would say a 700m distance between the two of them sounds fair. I put a poll here so please explain your answer here so I expect that different scenarios would produce different results. So an isolated match up which happens now and then is the ideal one to consider.

Well I’ve seen a couple of Fluxemoths blasted to oblivion by Plasma Ming’s, so I’ve voted accordingly. Incidentally, how effective are Flux’s in general? I have a couple - worth levelling?

They are pretty strong, now just imagine lapatte as the pilot and all the training and mocules, he might be effective perhaps. I got a level 8 flux that does 4600 dps. I imagine a maxed out one does a lot more and that's 4 of them at once. You would need to use a last stand on the Behemoth too.

To fight the AM you'd need Lockdown Ammo, which means any of the 1000 AJs will just roast you in seconds.

My Ming is only in the 70’s and I have faced maxed Flux Behemoth with lock down ammo, and three thermo nukes. I won.

I can also tell you from experience that the Ming wins out or teammates swarm in and take you out quickly.

Adrian did a video on this a month or so ago. The molot-t leech did better than the quad Flux behemoth.
Edit: here's the vid
Scroll toward the end for the comparo.

I would like to suggest we call laser builds ravers from now on.
Because rave lasers
Or not.
Depends.

At 700m, the Flux Behemoth can't do enough damage to the maxed AM before it gets into 600m range so the AM wins unless the Behemoth can get into optimal cover with it's guns sticking up and it's centre covered.

Tempest would have a much better time. Last tempest 3/4 done in WS, 4 days or so left.
With Lockdown Ammo you can stop him from dropping IIRC
I've got the 1500 gold to immediately graduate basil and get sharpshooter too.
Also pro tip: you can tap your guns to ramp up rate of fire without blowing ammo

Flux Fury used to be awful to see in battle....I assume DR of Titans and Tanks is the reason Flux now Sux?
What about Tempest Behemoth? Or Kang? Nashorn?
Is there any 4x heavy that can swat Mings out of the sky?
Is there hope for a 4x Alpha Titan coming up?

Max Ming only has 500k HP, 50k heal, and like 30% DR in flight. If he went off carrier for instance, he would die in one mag. If he drops down and you negotiate distance, you'll prevent him from doing anything.

Map specific. Yam with so much distance to cover for the AM and other reds gives a big advantage. Maybe SF and Canyon too. But not an overwhelming advantage and you disadvantage blues by bot capping if in a beacon game mode.
4 flux are very costly to level for such a situational build that will be a handicap in many maps. IMO only do it if you REALLY like the play style, can commit to the costs and/ or exclusively play TDM.

I hit them pretty hard with my Tempest/Molot Natty.....all NR.......surprises me considering all 7/8 atm, lol I admit I really want a Flyswatter in my hangar, Mings are getting old.......

tempests would be far better, you would do a lot more than with lasers. if you want to kill them very quickly then try some redeemers on BR and spawn close to them. I saw this happen in TDM (just easier to get close in BR) and that ao ming lost 1/3 of its health before they saw the behemoth. And spoiler, the behemoth won.

Fluxemoths and TreButchets and other loadouts of their ilk are much better suited fpr assassinating or bullying smaller robots than taking out Titans. While they might have the advantage of distance, their damage output (thanks to DR) is mediocre at best. A better bet would be a Tempest Behemoth that has high cycle DPS; toss Lapette in the pilot's seat with Master/Tempest Gunsmith, Speed Shooter/Sharpshooter alongside 3 Thermonukes for a 1.48x damage multiplier that hits with the power of 6 Tempests for the price of 4.

There will never be different results. Even with Lockdown Ammo the ao ming will win every time by a LARGE margin.
Go molots/tempests with Lockdown Ammo.

I've never seen a flux behemoth win against anything. True story.
