The distance matches and you'll get the benefit of lockburns, plus it can cornershoot.
But those perks aside, Cerb isn't a dps bot. I would opt for orks/cryo and that's it - maybe Taran Redeemer since it's more punchy

Ember Cryo will wreak some havoc methinks.

I tried Ember Cryo and Exodus Cryo and found the all flame build performed exceedingly well. I equipped Phase Shift, a maxed Fortifier, and a maxed Last Stand. Current pilot skills are: Road Hog Armor Expert Energy Shield Expert Destroyer I will be adding: Crazy Electrician Suppressor The nice things about the flames are: Extra range for operating on the brawl periphery. Ignores physical shields Ignores damage resistance Splash Excellent for cooking Arthur flank steaks

Ember Cryo will wreak some havoc methinks. That's what I think also. I am building it, currently the bot, cryos and ember at lvl8. For now too weak for Champions League, but I did manage to get wrampage a couple of lucky times.

Have tried cryo glacier build today. I have to say it is superior to cryo ember. Mostly because when leading the target ember and cryos are misaligned.

I'm currently using thermite and vortex. It certainly won't out DPS most bots, but it works well as support and the skill lets you get the most out of aphid class weapons. I have found the best skills for pilots are the 2 shield related skills (energy shield expert and crazy electrician) plus suppressor. That allows you to very easily kite any red that isn't using anticontrol

That said, I wouldn't want to mix wasp with anything but pulsars (not even sting really). Reason again being cycle time.

I wouldn't rule out MR builds either and utilize the ability (what's it called?) as a counter measure.

I've been running Taran/Redeemer for about a week now. I think it's an optimal loadout to go with the ability.

I've been running Taran/Redeemer for about a week now. I think it's an optimal loadout to go with the ability. Since day one when I got the Cerberus (few weeks ago?) I've been running Redeemer / Tarans. I haven't actually played the bot very much, perhaps a dozen times at best. What I don't like about the Redeemer / Tarans combo is the timing of firing and reload doesn't line up at all. For needing to be exactly on target, having weapons that don't fire together is irritating in a dynamic, strafing run situation. I do like the skill required to be accurate with plasma, and the 350m range is nice. I'll try it a few more times, then may switch things up to Ember/Igniter or Glacier/Cryo.

well this is kinda answering my question of if the bot was even worth putting Ag into for upgrades. Always have to wonder about bots Pix gives away.

well this is kinda answering my question of if the bot was even worth putting Ag into for upgrades. Always have to wonder about bots Pix gives away. The bot is fun and in the right circumstances, can take out a few bots. It is not OP and cannot just go in and slaughter. Really need to pick your places and having another blue getting the red's attention helps out a lot. Also, this bot needs a lot of resources to get it up to fighting levels (pilot and bot need to be high level), so it requires some commitment. I personally really like piloting it. Add a different rhythm to my play.

Is it just me or is this true:
Cerebus is not particularly slow but takes ages to change direction?

Mine currently has Redeemer, Cryo, Igniter (all I had spare) - and all level 8. If/When you get the Blackout - the mismatch doesn't matter so much. At lvl 8, each wpn is putting out around 45k - 50k dam in 4/5 secs (the lock time), so up to c.140k per lock. Not too shabby. The hard part is getting into a suitable position to get the Blackout to hit - i.e. within those 300/350m. Only had it a few days, and the style is taking some getting used to. Grrrega - agree, the turret swivels quite quickly (top half), but the base/legs take an age to change direction. Not handy when an Ao Jun lifts off, or an Ares pops the purple shield and your cover is 10m to your 7

Is it just me or is this true: Cerebus is not particularly slow but takes ages to change direction? I would agree that the rotational rate of the leg assembly is particularly slow with this bot.

They’re like a nanosecond off. Not if you're sustaining fire. There is a point during full clip unloads which the cycles are completely opposed. It's not the end of the world, it's just annoying. Been a while since I looked at it so I tested it again. The reload is not an issue as I thought it was for some reason, but the unload is still annoying to me.
