Hey everyone I am new to war robots and sadly I’ve already spend 200$ so far within 2 months. I want to join an active clan first of all so if anyone has one that I can join please let me know. Also I have a ton of questions about the weapons and the game in general.
1st question: I have a kumiho. I’ve had Orkans equipped should I use storm instead or what other set ups are good for that robot?
2nd question: I have an Ao quin for the light weapons I have 4 aphids. Should I keep those or use sparks instead? Also was it worth 3,500 gold?
3rd question: is the operation pass worth it?
4th question: since we have new offers daily when do I know that it’s worth buying either a weapons or robot?
5th question: what should I upgrade on my Arthur titan first? The weapons of the titan itself?
6th question: what would be the best sniper weapon. I have 2 trebuchet and they don’t seem to be too powerful for 2k gold each.
Ok that’s it for now thank you in advance for whoever answered my questions!!

Stop spending so much! Of course, it’s your choice. But, most of us are off the Pixonic plantation.
1). Orkans are ok. My wife says better as support to finish someone off. 2). Quin, IMO, not worth 3,500. Aphids could work. As you work your way up, you will want to switch to sparks. 3) Op pass is worth it IF (And that is a BIG IF) you are going to go a long ways into the Operation. If you just started, I would say, hard No. 4). Well, we have a Market Watch Bargain Bin thread here. The good deals tend to hand there. In general, the stuff they sell works well in leagues up to Masters. Jun/Leech/Phantom work everywhere, but are quite costly to upgrade. 5). Save your PT and get lasers 6). Best sniper weapon depends on the mech. Not a lot of sniper action in the game anymore, at least not on upper level Masters/Champions.
Welcome abroad! Happy Hunting!

1. I would go with storms on the kumiiho. 2. Sparks are better for the aoquin . 3. Opinions are varied. I would suggest getting it only if your sure to cross lvl 80 in the op 4. Idk 5. I’m doing both actually 6. I don’t think any sniper setup is that good imo. Also what is your league and platform?

Ok that’s it for now thank you in advance for whoever answered my questions!! Welcome to the forums! Usually someone will ask you: What league are you in? What other bots do you have? A screenshot is always good. You know...a picture is worth... 1) Kumiho is a fun bot. Orks are good, but lock-down, cryos and corrosive weapons are very popular and helpful. When you slow your opponent down, he's easier to kill. Storms just got nerfed(weakened) so I personally won't spend any more resources on them unless I decide to max them. 3)Unless you play A LOT, the ops pass is not worth it in my opinion. Of course, I am F2P. Since you spend RM (real money) already, you might find it worthwhile. If you can get to level 80 or 100 in two months, it might be worth it to you. I usually get to the low 70s. 4)Only spend RM on daily offers when you absolutely have to have something for $1-5. You can usually win or build what you want in the workshop, if you're patient. You can easily spend a fortune on this game and that's how it is designed. No way is this necessary. 5)This is personal opinion, so you will get many answers. There will be other Titans coming this year, so I am not leveling my Titan. I am leveling 2 Plated Armor Modules which I will be able to move to any future Titan I may want to play. I can't give answers to 2 and 6 because I have little experience with them. Good Luck!

Hey joshuaacolin, welcome aboard! My 2c: 1. I prefer Orks to Storms on the Kumi. Not as strong as they used to be, but can still pack a punch, especially when you learn to dash at the same time - very hard for the red to keep focus on you. 2. Deffo Sparks. Aphids are fun to troll with (I sometimes run my Loki with them), but they just don't hit hard enough on the DPM. Sparks start as a tickle, and before you know it, you're in close range dealing a tonne of damage. 3. As others said, if you are going to grind hard for the remaining [how many days left? 20?] - but honestly, at this stage, I'd wait for the next one (there will *always* be a next one) - that way, you'll be at the start line like everyone else and have a full run up the levels/prizes 4. 2 things - Bargain Bin thread, or simply ask on the forum. Just be careful asking the forum when the Hover next comes round (in-jk - search for Hover threads) 5. Can't say. I haven't spent any of my Pt yet. I am heavily leaning to Arthur with lead (straight out the box). Currently have 1,500 saved, so could make it fairly meaty. But there are new ones out later this year, and with Pixonic, "new" means "stronger" in 99% of the cases. 6. Never run a sniper, not my style. The Flux seems to be a bit of a pita when run in 3s (Fury) or 4s (Behemoth) - but don't really see too many. Main thing - experiment with different bots, weapons and play styles (brawling, mid range, support, long range, etc.) and see what makes you grin. Work out what you want from the game (this will change as you progress) - for some, this means chasing the leaderboard to be in Champs league. For others, it is building a hangar dedicated to a certain theme. There's a million ways to play. But mainly, remember, this is a game and meant to be fun. Happy hunting!

New player and already dropped $200, huh? My best advice to you is to stop giving Pixonic real money. No matter how much you spend, somebody out there will spend more and have better gear, or even more demoralizing, they will have worse, older gear and just be better at using it, and still kick your butt. Either of these scenarios might motivate you to spend MORE money, which just validated the business model that Pixonic has made a fortune using.
Pixonic (and many other game companies) sells power for money. Plain and simple fact. You want the new shiny toys that make you win almost every time? You better break that wallet open and empty it out. I just posted this advice in the 1000 Keys thread, but it’s the old carrot on the stick trick. To get a donkey to keep walking, you dangle a carrot from a stick and hang it out in front of him where he can almost reach it, but it’s just beyond his reach. He’ll walk til his legs fall off trying to get it. That’s the mindset behind all the new gear that is offered constantly.
And of course, you can’t just use that new gear out of the box. It must be upgraded to MAXIMUM MK2 SUPER LEVELS OF DOOM, which demands enormous amounts of silver, the payout of which was recently nerfed...but you can buy it for real money, too!!!
Honestly, my opinion is that if you can’t enjoy War Robots for free, just don’t play. It is a fun game. I’ve been playing on different platforms since 2015 or so. In that time I have spent $0.00. At first it was just because I’m a tightwad, and with kids at home, my income had other priorities. Now it’s just principle. I will not financially support a game that sells power. I do pay a bit for PUBG Mobile. No power sales there, just cosmetic stuff. They seem to be doing just fine without selling power. I wish other game companies would follow suit.

6. Snipers: Prob the best bargain for a newcomer is Molot T. 800m range and cheap as chips to purchase and upgrade. They are not all things to all men (and women! biancabashbots ) but if you want a sniper approximating experience for cheap then they are worth a look. I use them in upper Champion League (Champions League) and can keep other players honest with Molots. However, I use use four of them on a maxed Leech so there's that to consider. 7, 8, 9, and 10: Keep it cheap and fun for YOU. You can NEVER, EVER, frickin' EVER spend enough money at this game. A maxed AM bot is at LEAST $1600 USD when you buy discounted Pt. One Champions League-worthy hangar will cost lots of time and, I dunno, $1000 if you spend wisely and you don't have the patience to grind your way there...

Welcome aboard! I would suggest you play for awhile before spending much more, read posts here, find out what is meta.....that kind of stuff. If your going to spend, maybe even wait until your in a clan, see what your clan lead might suggest for squads..... I have 2 hangars since I started before we had a choice of battle modes, so I use my second for range and troll/fun....these hangars are not top clan meta stuff, but I do well in Masters 2..... Most here would agree level weapons first, even on Titans. Pilots, skills and modules are also in the mix. Weapons are around and fit any bot with the appropriate slot, even Titans....level up that Alpha! Good luck, happy hunting!

Ao Qin is a very fun bot but it's effectiveness and "worth" is debatable. Since you have it, use it and don't look back.
Sparks is the best build I've found for the Ao Qin and it's an incredibly good corner shooter. I've brawled in CQC a lot with it in upper M1/low Champs. These days, I'm playing around with Stings for it and I've got 3 Stings at L8 and one at L12 and it's actually a lot of fun and more effective than I thought it would be provided I play it in it's role of harasser. The Stings are pretty accurate up to 600m and they reload in 3 secs. The DOT may seem low but if you catch a bot in the open, you're doing 5s of DOT every 3s, so basically, it's the gift that keeps on giving. On smaller bots, I've seen their HP go down a satisfying amount from just one volley. They are expensive to get but dirt cheap to upgrade.
As for spending money, my view is to know your limit and play within it. But, patience is key in this game. I highly advise just taking your time and enjoy the game as it is as much as possible. As you climb the leagues, things will get tougher and the urge to spend will get stronger. Do lots of reading here and on the wiki. Lots of the older legacy weapons are actually still quite powerful and useful if you use the right tactics.
The Black Market can be useful for getting something good. I save my keys until I have 1000 and open a Gold chest. This season, for the first time in a long time, I finally opened a Super Chest thanks to those 1k keys for $4 deals that came up every once in a while. My prize was an Ancient Tyr and I'm dying to start leveling it and play it but I have too much other stuff I need to level first.
The Event chest is meh. They offer a daily deal for 100 tokens and while it seems small, if you buy that every day, it can quickly add up. Again, know your limit and play within it. I've bought several of those and I've opened several from grinding the tasks. So far, I can't see a difference as my prizes have been meh either way.
Above all, have fun and stick around!

Ok that’s it for now thank you in advance for whoever answered my questions!! I'll join in welcoming you as others have. This is a great place to find valuable and useful info. I'll get to your questions shortly, but let me give you a bit of long term advice. Ag is possibly the most valuable resource out there. Pt is more valuable, but currently, you're limited to getting 30 Pt/day unless you spend on it. Au will come by playing and playing well, but you can earn about 100 Au/day with just tasks and it adds up quickly. Ag is what you need to upgrade your main bots and even top level players are almost always running short. Be patient and deliberate with your upgrades and try not to waste it on stuff you are not sure you're going to play with. If you develop a plan and stick too it, you can maximize your Ag and achieve your goals. I would prioritize upgrading weapons before bots. Weapons are hit with nerfs (made worse) less often than bots are and can be transferred to other bots. Also, modules are the same way. Upgrade them and move them around as necessary. If you upgrade your bots, you can stop at level 9 or 10 and gain full speed, all open module spots and 80% of it's max mark1 health for only 25-40% of the max mark1 cost. You should be able to judge it's effectiveness at that point and decide if you want to take it further. Now to answer your questions, it would be nice to understand your goals and play style, but I can guess some of that from your statements. 1. Kumiho is a good beacon runner depending on what level you're at. At the highest level, it will be slower than the Strider and Phantom. If you stick with it, storms could be the most effective at brawling, but you will need to get in close, do your damage and get out if you don't kill your target or if there are multiples. Orkans will be fine and are probably similar to Storms in that they are high burst damage weapons, but there are far more effective brawling weapons. You might consider building Scourges in the Work Shop if you can. I love them and you can't miss (once locked on). Strongly consider getting a Strider though for your beacon runner. They are beloved on these forums and you will get lots of advice. 2. The Ao Quin is fine and the aphids can be very damaging. They miss a lot though and they don't transfer well to other bots. Keep them until you decide on something else. Sparks and Shredders are some of the best light weapons right now and aren't as expensive as others (Rimes/Blazes) to upgrade. Also, you can move them easily over to a Blitz which shares the same 4 light hard point weapon configuration. It's more of a brawler/ambusher bot though, so that might not fit your style. You decide. 3. If you're new to the game, play a lot and aren't opposed to spending a little money, the Operation Pass is definitely worth it. It's probably the most efficient way to earn tons of goodies in the game, especially new weapons and bots. Pair it with Premium and you'll see your resource pool grow much faster. If you aren't far along it right now though, you might consider waiting to purchase until the next one when you'll have the full time to complete as much as possible. 4. Set your plan and wait for what you want. Also, you have a full day for most of these offers (I've never bought an offer that expired in an hour except the 600 Au for $0.99 and other cheapos for Au) They aren't the really good steals. There's a stickied thread in the general board for "Bargain Bin" items that is a great reference for when and what might come up. Strider is on there fairly often for $5 actually. 5. I have an Arthur too and I'll tell you what I've prioritized. First, weapons. I have rockets, but machine guns are really good too. I know top players that have maxed machine guns on an Arthur. Second, the base stats on the Arthur itself can be increased at low levels for relatively cheap. The Arthur Engine is most important with Speed and Blast (we call it the Fart) increases. Next is the Hull because it ups your base durability and defense points (damage resistance). Last is the Core. The shield is super strong to start with and the extra durability can be gained with Plated Armor Modules cheaper. Lastly, the best bang-for-your-buck (Pt that is) are the Modules. The Antimatter Reactor is super helpful in making the weapons ALL better and for ~500 Pt (or just 2 weeks of saving PT) you can get one and upgrade it halfway and gain over 10% to all your weapons. Can't beat that. 6. I don't do sniper weapons, but the best probably the Flux, followed by the Tempest/Molot group (800m range max). Both will keep you out of range of most of the dangerous mid level weapons which max out at 600m. Consider abandoning the sniper build though. It won't help you win games as often (unless you play Team Death Match TDM) because they can rairly push beacons. Still, if it's fun for you, those are the weapons I'd invest in. Good luck and come back with all your questions! Lot's of good people and advice on here to help you out.

Spend money more wisely.
If you really wanna go all out just get a lvl 150 Plasma Ao Ming. It’s all you need really. It’ll carry you to champions for the low price of $2000 USD

And joshuaacolin, be mindful that while there are lots of people on this forum that will offer good advice, there are a fair of amount of members that are bitter about many of the financial choices that Pixonic has made and have chosen not to pay another cent towards this game. That is their choice and it is definitely a doable option and still enjoy the game. I am spending neutral and will give you advice based on your spending choices regardless of what those are. I only say this because you are new here and should understand why certain people might respond the way they do. Your choices are your own.

Welcome to the forum and war robots! I will echo what @reroll said. Play the game for a while, maybe 3 months, before spending more money. I'm not strictly f2p, I do spend on $1.00 gold deals, but I didn't start spending until about 3 months in. Spending time on the forum and in game will give you an idea of what works for you, and how best to spend your money.
