Hey Hunters,
Want to know how those modders are screwing up your games under the new league rules? Well, here is a host of recent exploiters who are using basic tools to bend matchmaking in their favor, generally at your expense. Assuming you are playing the game legitimately and not try to exploit the algorithms yourself.
Here are some tips:
1. Fill your hanger with bots you never intend to use with lower ratings and lower equipment. Put in 1 or 2 bots with Level 11 or 12 equipment. Use a 5-bot hanger with 3 largely worthless bots and 2 killers. Played right, these are the only 2 you will need anyway.
2. Drop your player rating by either sucking, tanking or using a very low level hanger against higher level players. Then add Level 11 or 12 bots when you drop 2 league levels and have at it.
3. Put bots in your hanger with no equipment. The lower level, lighter bots have more impact, hence a light bot with no weapons.
What does this do:
1. Ruin the gaming experience for those players not gaming the matchmaking algorithm.
2. Unfairly penalizes players who lose due to the tanking, sucking, etc.
3. Limits points for winners because they can never match the high damage from a high level hanger on their team.
How do you exploit this?
It's all about the gold, my friends, not the league points. So, exploiting players are trying to capture more gold by dropping themselves to lower leagues, and then coming back with their more powerful builds OR they are using high level bots against lower level adversaries by skewing their matchmaking rating.
So go ahead and do what they do. If enough of us do this, then either the game gets ruined or the developers fix the matchmaking algorithm by making it impossible for high level weapons to be matched against lower ones, regardless of your league rating. THIS IS A PARTICULARLY USEFUL TOOL DURING SPECIAL EVENTS.
