So guys I have this ares on its way in the workshop and I've been thinking what is the best yet affordable setup for it? I am currently thinking molots.and I also have a nuke hover and thinking about switching it for a scourge/spark hover. All suggestions are welcome and also I currently have a pursuer and am thinking of switching it for a strider. Please recommend any good setups. All suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Scourge/Spark is one of the most popular Hover builds. You just have to make sure to get Guidance Operator/Hover from the skills because lock-on is a serious drawback. I've had Scourge/Aphid for almost 2 years( I didn't get my first Spark until a couple months ago) and it's served me well. After getting my second Spark, I was just putting the level 1 Spark on just for looks and forgot to switch back before battle. How embarrassing! My second Hover runs Wasp/Spark(currently not leveled).

A list of weapons you have would be nice. Or pictures of your hangar. Our dearly departed Hover expert swore by the Taser build (Scourge Spark) though I’ve seen him run it with a Shredder as well in some videos

Well I have a dragon blaze , a scourge , 7k components for both spark and scourge, well then in my hangar I have a db Inquisitor(permanent) , a plasma Lancelot(permanent will be replaced by a Cerberus if I can get it), butch with tridents and thunders(it's super versatile tho I've been thinking of replacing it with a falcon. And the other two you know of which are the pursuer and hover and future ares.

which league are you in ? punisher ares is a decent startup build . there is also the scourge/spark setup . as for the strider there are multiple good builds ( like spark/calamity,halo/avenger, dragoon/marquess, thunder/halo/gust, rockets) it depends on your playstyle. i run exodus rimes on mine. it is important that you first build the weapons then the bots.

Molots are affordable fit in with the range of the retribution ability. I use Marquess and Pulsar and that works great. I won the Marquess in an event.

Are you F2P or are you willing to spend a bit here and there? If you're looking for cheap setups for the Ares, the best is probably Leadhose with Lockdown Ammo. It gives you a bit more range options than PDB, and as you said, your Redeemer and Tarans are stuck on your Lancelot.
For the Lance, just try to avoid getting into 300m range as the ice rockets will toast you pretty damn fast. Also, avoid Phantoms like the plague as most of the ones I've seen seem to have converted from shotgun to ice rocket builds.

The Lance is probably going to get replaced by the Cerberus if I can get my hands on it but. What is lead hose with Lockdown Ammo?

Oh damn now I am confused. Molots or punishers? I heard I could take out Titans from a distance just with molots.

Punishers are good for fighting bot versus bot while molots will be titan killers (or at least suppress them into cover) so it is really your choice on those 2 builds. I still recommend molots because then you don't have to worry about not having a titan counter.

Plus maniya I've found Molots tend to synch (cooldown/clip size/reload) really well with some bots. Also if you go a Molot or Punisher build best to go Lockdown Ammo. It helps with the fast bots and also great teamwork feature when supporting from mid distance.
