I’ve been thinking of repurposing my embers which would involve removing them from my first Ao Jun. I suspect the speed at which bots move is limiting my success with my current set. I could mitigate that by dropping my Ao Jun later in my matches when Titans show up. Dunno.
I’d like your opinions on the move, especially those who run taser builds or have experience running both. I’ve got plenty of calamities (don’t we all now?) but I’ve never bothered to upgrade any of them.
Thanks everyone!

I think Calamities will be best on the Ao Jun only if you have Yang Li. I'm not sure, but I believe that if you're in the air and a bot goes into stealth, the Quantum Radar kicks in right away and the Calamity never loses lock. Hopefully someone else can chime in and validate.
I started with Calamities on my first Ao Jun. It's a good build to start with but you can deal better damage with Avenger, and with Vipers, you have a good DR counter. Ember is very hard to use on fast bots but can be devastating to bots that are slow or are rooted. The advantage over Avenger and Viper is of course the fast reload speed.
You might want to give Redeemers a shot if you have them. They pack a whallop and are easier to use than Embers.

I’ve got a Yang Li Legendary Pilot paired with a Viper Ao Jun, my latest build. You’re right, that’s a good build. If I were to get another Yang, I’d definitely go for a calamity build. Part of the appeal of moving my embers is that I suspect they’d be more powerful on another bot. For example, I’ve considered arming one on a Hades and/or my newly acquired Cerberus. Any thoughts on that? (Hades currently has my only leveled Redeemer)

(Hades currently has my only leveled Redeemer) Do you have a pair of Blazes or decent leveled Magnums to put on the Hades? I've tried both Inferno Hades and PDB Hades, and honestly, if I had to choose, I'd pick PDB over Inferno. I'm still not great with the flamer weapons, especially against fast bots, and 350m is a bad range to be in if you're surrounded by Phantoms. After the shotgun nerf, my plan for light weapons was to go Blazes, but I've had to change that and I'm building more Shredders and I hope they don't nerf the Shredders too badly when the time comes. Because of my levels, I prefer to have my Hades' engage further out. I like Viper/Shredder and Avenger/Shredder the best and recently had to dismantle the Avenger/Shredder Hades and turn it into Taser because I needed my Shredders on my Blitz. With the proliferation of Phantoms these days, I like to have the ability to either stop them in their tracks and force them to Blink or have the ability to continue hitting them on their attack run. At least the shotgun nerf means they're not running through my bot and the blue bot next to me and the blue bot next to that on a single attack run. Most Phantoms I've seen (including my own) have switched to freeze rockets and the limited ammo forces them to Blink before they kill too many bots.

I'm loving igniters on my Fenrir, unless lag is hitting you can get the hang of leading fast targets, and hitting them with the glacier on top of the Fen slows those buggers down a little bit too Really like the splash effect and the damage to DR and shielded bots. Not sure if it ignores DR or it's just splashing/ignoring the shield but seems to do a lot of damage to T-falcs. Maybe a flame Ao Jun would pair nicely with Lockdown Ammo? Also seen folks use the hybrid Glacier + Ember to surprisingly good effect. If I had embers leveled I'd consider using them on my second Ao Jun that I also have the Yang Li Legendary Pilot, but working on Calamity for it instead.

I can verify that when you have Yang Lee and are in flight, it still keeps lock on targets that go into stealth. I run Calamity Ao Jun with Yang and often times attack a stealth-capable bot while in-flight, which makes them usually try to activate stealth and my Calamities are still locked on and electrocuting them.

Thanks, that's pretty much my experience too, except I'm on the OTHER end of the Calamities!

I use it primarily as a Titan killer because of how slow they are. I've recently added the Death Mark module instead of Lockdown Ammo and the Titan health goes down surprisingly fast. The Kryptonite isn't Titans, it's the other remaining bots running around, notably any leftover AJs or Leeches.

I run an Avenger Ao Jun and Ember Ao Jun. Both are very effective. Embers are great vs. Arthur. Add Lockdown Ammo and you can lock those fast bots in their tracks and roast ‘me.

I brought this up in an Ao Jun thread because the Flame/Freeze combos work really well, flames aren't that hard to get on target with practice, and the splash of flame is useful.

As long as we're on an ember post... Is insanely great, and I'm drooling over your berserker skin

A calamity Ao Jun might be in my future, although a fourth Ao Jun seems excessive. I may just level up the calamities and switch out weeps/pilots when the mood strikes me. Thanks again for your input everyone.
