So I have this F2P account in gold 1 League and I'm trying to equip Natasha for mid range support. I already have one zeus on it, and am in the process of saving gold for the other one. I read up on zeus and trident, and came to conclusion trident might have been a wiser purchase. Zeus bypasses ancile shields, but I see less and less of them in Gold 1/ Diamond league and trident deals more burst damage at least on paper. Higher in leagues I'll start encountering Aegis shields, which block all weapons anyways. Trident is cheaper to buy at 1000 gold each, and is also cheaper to upgrade. What is your opinion? Should I stick with zeus, or go for trident? Which weapon will last longer into higher leagues?

I like Tridents. It’s in the class of cheapest weapons to level, splash, good burst damage, and no lock-on time.
Zeus is good but that lock-on time kills me, plus you can’t hit around corners. A pro though is that with super laggy play Zeus can still hit.
The problem is what light weapons to pair Tridents with on Natasha. Tridents need aiming lead, Pins would be good if not for the -100m range. Light weapons with Zeus can be a problem too because the ideal is Marques or Spark which are expensive to upgrade. Maybe Gekko or Spirals? I don’t know what cheap lights pair best with either heavy but I run a pair of maxed Tridents in Expert and love ‘em. Anciles aren’t too big of a problem, just stagger fire and it helps a bit, or watch and wait for someone else to knock it down.

Any chance i could sway you to tempest/molots? If not then tridents/molots would be my pick.

Trident/Pins because there isn't a good light to pair with Zeus. They all deal damage over time. The 500M range will hurt some with the Pins so... I don't really like the build much.
If you want Zeus build a Fury and get guidance. I have it and I like it.. Do the same with Tridents.
Far as Natasha goes, better builds exist. Even Thunders and Punishers is good enough. Mine has sinister glaciers and ECUs...

However, at this point in time funds are tight being f2p smurf. I'm looking at something easily obtained and relatively cheap to level so i can arm a natasha before I focus on other priorities. Eventually, Natty will be replaced by fury and at that time in might consider tempests.

Stings are relatively cheap to get (ok 2500 gold each can be challenging for a F2P smurf account but its doable), and very cheap to upgrade. The range meshes well with Trident and they add insult to injury.

None of the above! Natrasha sux, Zeus is too slow and easy to avoid and Trident does minimal damage. I suggest you get yerrself a modern setup so you can play successfully instead of nostalgically.

The range meshes well with Trident and they add insult to injury. At least one Sting is in future plans, but that will probably after I get avengers. Stings are not bad for tdm, and they would match the range with some corrosion to help out against damage resistance. I won about 2k Nightingale components plus legendary pilot for it. As soon as I open up more production spots in workshop I'll grind nightingale. My dream setup for it would be two pulsars and a sting. One robot that heals, suppresses, locks down with a tiny bit of corrosion but that is light years away.

Right, I get that modern setup would be optimal. The question is what do I run until I produce all the modern stuff in WS?

Since we both play on Android I will look at your stable and see what's going on over there and let you know. Considering that you have it at only level 6, I would put the brakes on its development. Don't put too much energy in your Inquisitor as well as they are easily destroyed. That Tyr is starting to look good

I would rip my eyes out if I had to start over again....it took a lot of work to get to and stay in the champion league and sometimes I miss the earlier match types since at this level I stand a chance to still be the best player on my side and get gang R@ped by one of the many squads that troll that level. I remember when the Lancelot was the best robot out there.... the good old days.
