In Chicago and now everything is getting closed. The bars were packed for St Pattys day so apparently no one got the point. This is gonna be a long ugly mess.

Gov’t says different, but what do they know. My kids are home from school for the next month. Not sure how that is going to pan out. No sports or play dates. Sheesh! They will be crawling the walls. Maybe I can have them farm silver for me. Lol. I hope and pray it is going to be ok and over fast. Stay safe War robot community.

Stocked up on groceries a week ago (nothing crazy, no garage full of TP). Went to the store Friday and it was like a zombie apocalypse. It was surreal - ALL the bread gone, all the meat, NO BACON WHATSOEVER. I’m bunkered down for the next week or so. Plan to do some War Robots and chill

It’s going to be an inconvenience for a bit (a few weeks is my guess), but we’ll be ok if we use some sense and don’t panic. Anyone recall H1N1, aka Swine Flu? Nobody even talks about it anymore. The weaponized media coverage is part of the problem, along with the Chi-Coms downplaying the outbreak in its early stages.
Hang in there, folks. Be good humans.

Jumpin' on here real quick to also express my desire for everyone to be safe and well... Having to do some work to get ready for our people to work from home so I haven't been on much... and may not for a minute... but if I get to shoot some bots in the next couple of days, I hope to see some of y'all out there and trade some paint and oil and metal chunks with ya. Prayers and positive thoughts for everyone. ???48

Chicken might be scarce for a bit, China dropped their tariffs recently because their poultry supply was hit hard by the virus, so US producers were shipping supplies over there. I went to the grocery store this week and all they had was beef and pork

I choke it every now and then, but who doesn’t?

Wash your hands, stay away from crowds, do not go see people if you have symptoms.
This thing is for real. You can find online stats on how fast hospital cases rise, be it in Italy, Spain, France, Seattle (all top notch health systems).
For most people the symptoms are mild in the first week (but very contagious), then the 「dookie」 hit the fan and you may end up on a ventilator in my ICU. If I have a bed and ventilator for you.
From a public health point of view, having people interact less (in real life) is the only way not to have the ICU system overwhelmed. So closing schools / theaters / restaurants absolutely makes sense. So is working from home.
Just my 2¢ from an ICU doc in Canada, still waiting for our first case in my region. For now things are awfully quiet in my hospital.

Be safe out there folks.

Be safe out there folks. This is what terrifies me. How few ventilator systems we have in the nation. I think itâs something like 100k. And you know that those are in the urban areas, not in Redbutt Rash, Arkansas, population 875. Thereâs a county in Oklahoma....8k people. 1 hospital. Pardon my language, but what in the 「fluffernutter」 are they going to do when (not if) COVID-19 says âHOWDY!â? And the federal government is spreading lies and telling us to pray for protection while they pump up the stock market...

In my province the plan is to deploy teams to these smaller hospitals if they get overwhelmed, at least that's what I was told. In Canada and Europe we have nationwide public health systems, that helps. What I like here for now is how the administrators didn't try to play know-it-all and actually work very closely with their medical teams (with a province wide centralized coordinated approach). They even opened free daycare for healthcare workers and emergency response teams children (for 0 to 13 y.o.).

We are only now getting test kits ready. The main issues is the normal I’ll eased that require hospitals then add this together and it’s a disaster. No health system can manage it once it hits a certain percent.
