Okay, so replicants having children was interesting. At least one parent had to be human, right? One would think so. It would also depend on how “human” the Nexus 9 was. In theory, they could have put an implemented egg into a replica and, in theory, it could be brought to term. Yes, but in this case considering the father and the mother. Do you seriously think he would allow a medical procedure as opposed to the old fashioned way? (skirting the line of spoilers) |

The answer is yes, for sure. Two easy reasons:
1) Deckard dreams of a unicorn. At the end of Bladerunner, Deckard knocks over an origami unicorn on his way to the elevator and hears Gaff say ‘it’s too bad she won’t live, but then again who does’. Gaff was indicating he knows Deckard is also a Replicant by making an origami of an implanted memory of Deckard.
2) In an interview prior to BR 2049, Ridley Scott was asked the same question and replied ‘of coarse he is’

Make sure you watch the three 10 min short films they made as well, telling stories of the happenings between BR & BR 2049 One is an animation about the blackout One is about how Wallace bypassed the ban on Replicant creation And one is some backstory on Sapper Morton (the protein farmer) |
