I most enjoy piloting light bots. Light bots die too easy even at the lowest levels. So, whats my incentive for climbing the league ladder? I would love a button where I could opt out of advancement. Staying at my current level however long I want.

Just play your favorite hangar.. your results with said hangar will eventually put you in the 'right' league... where you can be competitive, without dominating.
Advancement from there will occur naturally as your gear is further leveled and/or you become more proficient with it.
The whole issue with leagues is born of people's misunderstanding of what they represent.
The sooner people stop thinking they have to 'advance' at a rate of knots and just start playing as hard as they can with the robots they like, the sooner they'll reach a happy place in the game... competitive matches using their favorite equipment.

Level them up all the way. Their offensive output will pale in comparison to heavy classes so your ascent in the league will be proportionate to your hangar strength.
You may hit a ceiling later down the line, but play the heck out of it; see how far you can take them. There's great satisfaction in that because you did it your way.

My all light lineup (8/8 piñata dest, Tauren Cossack (trying to perfect corner shooting), thunder shutze, molot Gareth and aphid stalker) put me squarely in Gold I where I've been sloshing around. Great fun. Average 70% wins and 5 gold 2 out of 3 wins on average. Now to see how the new system affects me.
Play what you love at the levels you love it. Don't see the leagues as a ladder to climb. The fun is still there.

I have a Jesse in the hangar... in Gold league just forget that bot. Even it´s fast - it´s made out of paper. So, not competitive at all. And no fun to play with when you get toasted by one Treb shot

Thank you for your replies. I'm at bronze lvl and really don't want to go any higher. Been putting everything back into leveling bots and weapons higher.
