I leveled my second Raijin to 2.12. I leveled the Vipers to 1.9. Now I can switch between Avengers and Vipers at will. My Pilot is promoted to Lieutenant: Master Gunsmith/Raijin, Armor Expert/Raijin, Road Hog/Raijin and Mechanic/Raijin. It's getting late here. The Whales are coming out and its nearing bedtime. I'll run her out in 12-14 hours. I played a lot of matches to rush my Vipers. I hope this is a good Leech killer.
Now I can level my Tyr...

Now I can level my Tyr... my singular 1.9 viper rips through lots of leeches REALLY fast so you shouldn't have to much of a problem. Running that viper on a 1.9 falcon is fun especially with the 1.8 exodus on the wings!

Speaking from a lot of experience: You may not come away alive. But it will not be walking away happy , nor very usable. Raijin viper is one of the few actual non leech soft counters to leech

Definitely not the Punch of Avenger. We'll see how it pans out. I got my butt kicked in back to back games right away so not a good comparison, yet.
Seems pretty weak by comparison. Maybe I need to level them higher.

I think that Vipers already deal max damage against most bots at 400m, so there may not be any point getting much closer than 400m to your enemies.
Unlike Avengers which deal more damage the closer you get.

I have a Viper Raijin myself with the black widow paintjob. It is a fun bot to use, especially with Lockdown Ammo but its large profile and slow speed make it fodder for Ao Juns. Plus the robot and the weapons are all only level 7 right now, so I've never invested much in this build in favor of everything else I run. Even with premium, I can't find enough time or silver to do everything I want to do.

Raijin is pretty cheap to level in comparison to a lot of other bots. I get toasted by Ao Juns a lot, but I survive the Ao Jun dive bomb a lot too.

My Vipers are starting to show promise. Not quite as dependable as the Avengers and they don't have as much kick. It's hard to get used to chucking snowballs after running chainsaws. I took down a couple Ao Mings today, but I didn't get that satisfying 'Titan Slayer', I'm used to. I didn't see anyone else firing at them. I'm bagging terrestrial Titans with the Viper too. I still think I should level them further before I'll really be pleased with them.

At 2.12, I hope your bot would survive the divebomb with that many hit points. Have you ever tried a Redeemer Raijin? I liked the raw firepower of it, but putting close range weapons on such slow platforms results in you getting kited all over the map and gunned down by people packing Dragoons and what have you.

I haven't built any Redeemers yet. Maybe, if I get a 3rd Raijin... I started with Zeus, then Avengers and Vipers. I haven't tried anything else. I like that I can use both my Raijin in Champs, even if a little slow. Of course Arthur seems slower with the shield deployed. I think it gives me patience to run slower bots. One thing I noticed...Not too many Phantoms will Kamikaze attack a Raijin, especially in Bastion mode

Just an update:
I've been running my Twin Viper/Raijin for six weeks now. Frankly, I couldn't imagine pulling it from my lineup. I love lobbing snowballs 500m. The DOT is great for when I spend my clip or the hapless Red ducks behind cover a sliver too late and the game roars variations of 'KILL' a couple seconds later. I love lazily firing at non-laser Mings at 500m where they can't reach me. The Vipers are still 1.9. I can't wait to get them to 2.12! Ares, Leech and Ao Ming: Viper/Raijin fears not these things.
I wish I could've used the Mallrats version, but Jay says "Holy ?dookie?! mother ?fluffernutter?in' yoda and ?dookie?. I can't find a censored version.

600m? Arent their max range 500? Im a fan of the vipers. I have a pair of 1.11 on a Bulwark, often quite a good contributor.

So if you see a Hover weaving and bobbing from behind cover as the Titans are multiplying, that may be me.

Bastion does increase DoT damage with Vipers. I have had it in 5th while I finish up Weyland (more than 2/3 complete).
