Uncapped beacons can be capped by proximity, and not by touching them. Beacons can be flipped the same way. I think the radius is the same. -Amid |

UPDATE: So I finally got a chance to use this trick to hold a beacon versus a lance. He went for the beacon at the top while I used my DB Griff to go and hold it at the bottom. When he finally came over to the ledge to try and get me. I used the jump to blast him with my pinatas and orkans. It was epic!

I swear I tried that before when I got stuck down there and didn't wanna get the extra exercise.....but dismissed it as having no spot close enough!
Now I'm wondering who figured it out? Just driving into the wall until something happened....lol

Does this trick still work since the last update?
I've done it before but since the update I've tried 3 times with a Stalker and couldn't get it to budge. I don't remember if I used a Stalker before though, maybe only certain robots work. I'm on iOS if that matters.

Did it yesterday with a carny.
Possible that you have to be tall enough to just catch the edge of the activation bubble from down there...

I failed turning the beacon with a Stalker, too. And I had some trouble getting it with a Galahad.
Maybe it can't be done with every robot. (Playing on Android, myself.)

I failed turning the beacon with a Stalker, too. And I had some trouble getting it with a Galahad. Maybe it can't be done with every robot. (Playing on Android, myself.) It was pretty difficult, but doable in a Gareth, though I haven't tried it in a week or so. But it worked fine last night in a Griffin. |
