Always the buzz kill.  lol Thanks! I'm way short on AG for leveling up my birds. The problem is that when you go Premium, you get silver faster, but you also uograde faster, so you'll still be lacking resources for the next upgrade. |

The timing of these influencer videos are not just coincidental. Indeed they are $5 today. Always thought about getting one, but never got around to it. If I did, I would take my Tempest and Molot-Ts off and put them on this guy so I could use my 5th Fenrir as another brawler (maybe flame weapons?). On another note, I am gold bankrupt and have no way to buy those extra hangars being marketed for 1000 Au each. You don't reckon gold will go on sale before the end of the weekend, do you? Otherwise I may have to blow all my monthly budget on retail priced gold just to take advantage of this once in a lifetime sale. |

Two Chimeras are in the Bargain Bin for $8 AUD each.  For Spiral/Hydra lovers, Chimera is by far the best type of Hydra (other than the necessity of Heavy hardpoints). They cost twice as much as Hydras to level, but can almost do twice as much damage. Two Chimera hit almost as hard as Four Hydra. You can mount two of them on a spare Ao Jun and fly away from retaliation as needed.  <->  Chimera Ao Jun and Hydra Spectre may be somewhat comparable, other than Ao Juns having an inbuilt flamethrower and also being a higher priority target for reds. I run a 4x Chimera Behemoth from time to time and not only do they trigger phase shifts and bot abilities, but it's possible kill a bot with each full salvo. Certain script users use Chimera Weylands to great effect too. |

I've got two Level 7 Chimera mounted on a Yang Lee Ao Jun at the moment (Quantum Radar + Shieldbreaker), and it's both annoying people and making kills. Not even flying Ao Juns, Lokis or Ares are safe. 4x on a Behemoth is way more dangerous if I don't get killed though. |

I used a 4x Sting Blitz on the Test Server, and I was paired up with a 4x Sting Ao Qin. 8x Stings and we couldn't hold a beacon or kill a bot between us. Easy, new weapons require new tactics. Been playing stings and wasps for a bit now, maybe getting the hang of it, maybe not, but I’m kicking myself for not grabbing more stings and wasps while they were in the bargain bin (it’s how I got my first pair of each). Anyhow, they’re not brawling weapons like orkans and avengers, the flow doesn’t mesh with the scrum or with the wet-chihuahua mode we see from the Phantoms, but once you learn the rhythm of the bursts, they are death in a hurry. Hard NOT to kill a bot once you get the hang of it...and did I mention they work quick? Never mind, all a fantasy, worthless weapons, another joke on us from Pix, please don’t start using them.... |

There weren't any Wasps on sale for me (it was one weapon I actually wanted), but I'm finding Wasp components in my League Reward Crates. I've been curious to try a Viper / Wasp corrosion Fenrir. 400-600m damage, and Fenrirs tend to last a long time at range. I have one Wasp (and many Vipers) so far. That was my very first ride with Wasps: with Viper, on a Fen. Even @l7 it was promising. Wait, no, it’s all horse feathers, bad weapon, don’t use! |

On a per-round, impact basis, Wasp sports dmg on a par with other usable mediums, the DOT effect magnifies the impact: you say it perfectly: long-range brawling, in effect. Leech is a special case, because FAST, typically, and cloud of fiat-sized bullets - even without repulse: ALL DOT works better with Leech, that non-DOT weapon just kills you faster, not the Leech...and for that, you need levels. As for ’extra damage @range’, I find it to be there, but YOU must decide if it’s enough. I find it works well enough that I have two bots carrying: Stings on my Leo, Wasps on my Tyr. YMMV. Only one of something is a pain...I only have a single Flux: if I ever get a second, I’ll level.... |

I used to run a Rainbow Gekko/Flux Leo with Koi skin.
The Gekkos were levelled so I attacked with 4 colours each time. It could do the 'disco lights' trick by firing in sequence and holding down centre fire.
4x Flux Behemoth was so mighty in comparison, though, especially in iOS Champions League.

You know, if they were the Dragon variety, I would bite for sure, but not for the regulars. If Pix really wanted to make money, they would fire sale the special edition weapons, because there are a lot of us out there who will never buy truckloads of event boxes but are still irritated that we lack a matching set of weaponry. |
