What is the MM's obsession with mismatching leagues?

Yep, you figured it out.  Leagues don't mean anything.

I hate the impact on squad play - taking an Expert squad of 6 into the MM seems to almost guarantee a Master or Champion league opponent.

Complaining about griffs when you run 3 gold bots?

Weird, I run a lvl 9 galahad, mag/ork and don't seem to have so many problems with griffs / missiles. Use cover, flank, time the attack etc.

What could go wrong with a system that forces you to move up until you're outclassed with no way to go back down? Surely that won't lead to tanking. That won't aggravate people that have time and money invested in a now useless hangar. Surely everyone will keep playing and losing for the benefit of the members of their "team".

Every time I see a Pixonic rep say they changed the game because "others were gaming the system" or it wasn't "fair" I laugh. Sure...you couldn't possibly just change the hangar strength metric or player level to protect the noobs. Nope. The whole game has to be reworked. Don't worry that you can't try out different bots and weapons anymore. We don't need variety. Don't worry that every game has become a slog of seeing the exact same bots and configurations. They did it for our enjoyment. Not because they want to place as many people as possible into a position where they're forced to give Pix money to continue playing. Surely not.

Stop the revenue stream. Vote with your dollars people. It's the only thing companies like Pixonic understand.

Since the moment that the League system was proposed and the symbols showed up I insisted that any 'new' system would just ge the existing system with a fancy symbol and it really seems that way to me.

i still think if you are playing above your league (such as you have given exampkes of) then your awards and losses shouldnt be equal to pilots of that league! If you are a GOLD LEAGUE pilot kicking butt (or getting your hutt kicked) in the EXPERT LEAGUE then you deserve your points to reflect that!!!

Yes, in theory but that is not the way the game is working. We are not matched against equals in leagues or by hanger strength. You most often you will see a mix of opponents either above and below your level. Sometimes you are the stronest or the weakest or in the middle. That will be a huge factor in your winning, loosing, and damage given. Way more than your game play.

Tankers often have a much larger impact on a specific game than the best player. As individual players we overvalue our impat on the game. If we do well that is what we should have done and if the MM is correct we should have little impact on thr outcome of the game, win 50% of the time. Tankers or bad mix of players change the dynamic competely and you are stuck on a team that was destined to loose no matter how well you play.

As the best player on the loosing side you should receive more rewards than a bad player from the winning team. The bad players on the winning side often have very little impact on the outcome of the game. There are other rewards for winning.

Stop using that galahad's shield so much, its slowing you down. You need to be nimble when facing orkans

your level 10 galahad will initially take on some damage from backpedaling but you will eventually outrun the rest of the salvo, get that shield down.
