I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing, but, the devastating fires raging across the country are unprecedented. And at the moment unstoppable.
Politics and personal view points aside, the country is being ravaged by drought and fire.
What can you do?
Look out for Australia products. Buy some great Australian wine, ugg boots (Australian made of course) when this is over plan a holiday here. I'll pick you up at the airport.
Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated. They won't help with the rebuilding.
Keep an eye out for our island nation.
Admins. Appreciate a little traction, I know it's off topic, even a couple of days, many thanks Drew.

That is heartfelt. Hard to imagine, but will definitely take your advice. Show a little love in these hard times.

Yea dude, the whole planet is on fire. But I hardly see it reported much.
I heard smtg about those tiny ewoks getting thirsty and having some bottled water. Thought it was pretty cool.

Dude hope you guys make it ok.
This looks like a permanent and bad mark on your eco system. Any 「bum-bum chapeau」 who doesn't believe in climate change sparking this is...an 「bum-bum chapeau」.

A friend of mine is currently in Australia on her work and travel trip which she started a few months ago. Their latest status is, that the nearest fire is in about 6 km distance, that the air is barely breathable and that the cars are packed with everything they need, in case they need to evacuate and let the farm where they are burn down. It's very sad, just was speaking with her to get some updates on how they're doing. Grumpy Tanker #Official What products to buy aside from the excellent australian Shiraz I love? Don't like the boots, but I'm open to suggestions. Stay safe! That's how it looked today where my friend is: Hope they don't have to evac.

Dude why is the sky so red. Did ya ad an 9nstagram filter. Or is my night mode still on here. But i don’t think I use it ... Well, where my friend is, there's about 4000 part per million particles in the air. Looks like on mars and even in mid day, it's rather dark as the sun doesn't penetrate the smoke very well. Local media say, breathing the air for one day there equals smoking 37 cigarettes daily. She said that there could be rain on monday and I hope, forecasts are accurate. #nofilter That's where she is:

I am also in Australia, South Australia and it's very bad. Kangaroo Island where I went for my honeymoon 10 years ago and is well known for alot of native animals is 2/3 on fire and its a big island (4500km2). Almost every state in Australia has major fires still burning. Many fire fighters and and residents have died fighting the fires or protecting their homes. Australians are rallying together in this tough time and thank you for everyone else in the world who has helped out either financially or buying our products. We appreciate your well wishes also.

Things like this piss me off. Not because it’s happening, but at how badly run the uk is. Our foreign aid budget is enormous, and we send it to countries like India - they have a space programme, ffs. Or China - second biggest military in the world, possibly the biggest. Yet for Australia, commonwealth, ally, we probably send tuppence by comparison. If you’re from the UK, message your mp. I live in the US so I sent my Congessman this email. I encourage everyone to do so if they can.

VB and Tooheys are the big brands and they own a lot of the craft brands now. Generic domestic beers. James Squire is owned by Lion Nathan which also owns Tooheys. But is still a nice beer and brewed a few suburbs away from me. White Rabbit is a good beer. Coppers I believe is still independant and is pretty good for a main stream. Little Creatures is a nice drop. No one ever drinks Fosters.

Keep safe. Will buy Australian products to help. If you can look for products produced in small country towns. There are websites for it out there. They were hurting with the drought and now it's a double whammy with the fires. If you need to buy a soft toy for a little kid you could try google Tambo Teddy. All made by hand and unique.
