Anyone who holds stripes in a clan probably knows what I'm talking about. Page after page of requests for membership from players who don't come close to the entry standards you have for your clan, but in order to make room on the list for new requests, you have to reject the subpar applicants one at a time. A tedious, mind-numbing task that only officers have the privilege of doing.
For any who may not know what I'm talking about, let's say a clan is looking for lvl 30 players with a ten day activity score of 500 or more. They put those requirements on their clan page, but nobody pays any attention to it, and their request list is FILLED with everything from out of the box 3 slot noobs and up, and an occasional 500+ lvl 30 player.
These requests have to be rejected one by one to get to the ones that actually meet the criteria the clan is looking for. It's time we'd much rather spend actually playing War Robots...
Not that we think we're better than the low lvl guys, or that we didn't start there ourselves, but a low lvl player would have no fun at all in squad with high lvl players. Everyone remember when the new MM came out? It'd be like that, except self inflicted. And honestly, if you don't play enough for your wife to HATE this game, you won't be much use to most clans anyway.
I've emailed Pixonic numerous times about the Clan Request list. As yet, no change, but I am hopeful.
I propose allowing the clan to set the minimum 10 day activity number needed to apply for membership. Kind of a "You must be at least this tall to ride the roller coaster" thing. Doesn't seem like it would be very hard to do, and I can't think of any reason to not allow it.
Failing that, at least a "select all" function would be a help.
If this is something you'd like to see, please let Pixonic know about it. Thanks, and I'll see you on the battlefield!
