I have 2 Menders (L9, L1) and a Weyland (L5). I use them in D/E Leagues. I like both but for different reasons. The Mender either has Corona/Halo or Scourge/Spark. I also use L9 Vipers on the Weyland. The Mender is the better "multi use" of the two because of it's mobility while using it's ability. It also has a low profile which can be quite handy against a range of smaller bots (e.g. Loki) and finding cover. The damage mitigation it has in attack when using it's ability is very effective. Ⓑⓞⓑ Ⓓⓨⓛⓐⓝ has written up on it's effectiveness and use in detail (do a search). The Weyland doesn't have the Mender's mobility when using it's ability as you are aware and requires it to become immobile without damage mitigation. Having said that it can actually climb in places you wouldn't believe - see linearblade post on it's use. It's health restoration is constant when using it's ability and that can be a big silver/honour earner for you. Situationally, I find it's effective deployment is map dependant and can be either good or bad. At the end of the day I think it depends on your play style and what you want out of it. Either way I think you can't go wrong with either (or both ) in your line up, particularly with the honour/silver reward re-work coming up. Don't forget that there is a new bot (yes.. surprise.. another new bot ) coming out in the near future which has healing abilities (Nightingale) and you may want to hold off and save resources for it's impending availability.

Yes, I know about the new bot. Love the idea, but not willing to shell out 49-99 dollars or the equivalent in gold to get it.

In short:
Weyland can tank but is very situational... linearblade has posted several vids where he uses his (maxed I believe) and if all goes well it can take a LOT of damage. BUT... you have to be in Healing mode and that comes with a whole lot of other issues. Overall, I'd say this bot takes a dedication that most folk don't have... but if you do and put maxed weapons on it, it WILL pull its weight.
Mender is fun... and I use one still at level 8 or 9. Cryo on top, Gust/Halo on the sides and you have a pretty damned fun little support brawler. Heal your friends and revel in your DR and burst of speed. I'd second Mr Dylan's write up about them...
I'd say Mender for 95% of the players who would ask this question.
IMO, YMMV

The reality:
Mender is better against top meta content .
Weyland will punch holes in most tanks and all beacon runners, in most situations.
Weyland would be far superior if stealth:/ bubble / tether didn’t exist. It does exist, so tread carefully

Duh. war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/33612/murder-turtles-amaI haven't updated the post but I spent the majority of 2019 running 5 or nearly 5 Mender hangars. Mender is still holding up against the meta, it's very very strong against Ao Jun (most common bot RN) and can beat Leech in most scenarios depending on the circumstances. I've definitely adjusted my weapon configurations on the Turtles however, I've gone to spark/scourge on two of them because of their ability to abuse range and how great they are against Phantoms in the early game. Lemme know if you have any questions, keep in mind if you go the Mender route you'll want the bot high level for the burst healing and 'True Ace' & 'Deft Survivor' are must have pilot skills.

Any and all advice would be appreciated! While I am a Master II, I legitimately can not explain HOW! I am a stubborn pilot, not a real crafty one. if the weapons didnkt suck, would almost think of putting Wasp/Sting and use it as a Leech exterminator...

Hey there buddy. Can I ask why you continue to create these threads, about non-6 Pack subjects, in the 6 Pack area? I think they're great threads, just in the wrong area. I realize the ‘6 Pack Moderator’ Bronzeknee, May he Rest In Peace, got himself banned and so there's no hand on the tiller but could you simply post them in General Discussion or Tips & Advice instead?
