To all the cheese lovers out there!
...wife attended the annual chicken gathering (around christmas time), and asked me to make a cheese plate for the occasion.
I made two! Because i'm a nice guy. And when i'm tiered of everything i like to relax in the kichen, helps me reset big time, better than wellness weekend if you ask me. And I got a promotion at work so I have tons of change for stuff like this lol
And for that same reason (nice guy part) i'm gonna share some killer cheese combos with you, because it's the season of giving and love and eating a lot and other stuff too. Gonna present from left to right.
White Plate:
- left and right side: Fresh mozzarela, tomato slices and basil. Good looking and awesome taste. Very well known combo, and yet never cease to amaze
- middle of the plate: hard goat cheese and hard goat-cow milk cheese cut to small bite size dices and pieces of sour olives stirred in extra virgin homemade olive oil, feta cheese dices added on top so they wouldn't brake, baked almonds and a couple Overdrive basil leaves. This dish is no joke, you can actually overeat yourself with this stuf.
Silver plate:
Same goat and goat-cow milk cheese used here, only cut in a more finger friendly way.
- left size: added baked almonds and XL sour olives, meant to go with brownish pesto from those two little dishes. Pesto is made with baked fresh tomato, baked almonds, fresh basil and garlic, olive oil and some salt and peper, mixed together in a paste of explosive taste!
- right side: same cheese with dry figs and wallnuts cut into smaller pieces, and fig jam in those little porcelain spoon. This is probably the most shocking (in a good way) way to eat cheese.
Merry Christmas. Or happy holydays.
