I've actually hear them before.
Good Mongolian throat singing.

This guy can shred pretty hard. The last half of this song just keeps getting more and more frenetic. He came over to the States from Japan a couple years ago and I got to see him live. Was only a few feet away when he tore through this song.
Marc Ribot plays some mean guitar too. This is his Latin music project. Cuts loose at 3:18 into the song.
And then of course, there's Buckethead. Got to see him live too. All kinds of different folks came out to see him jam.

I was thinking about that whales topic and then remembered a song of a long forgotten band. I looked it up, and as far as I believe to understand what he is actually singing the lyrics seem to fit well to that "dolphins & whales" theme in this forum.
maybe someone here on the forum still knows them? They were a bit overlooked and never had a really big hit. It's good songwriting, though, and back then Francis Dunnery who led the band often was considered as being a brilliant guitarist and songwriter in his era. It's quite fancy (keyboards driven) progressive pop rock (whatever!) and it's from 1988.
It's the 'dolphin' singing:

I had just looked them up again, recently, and listened to as much as I could find... nostalgia achieved.
