How do you guys generally level up your bot? Do you go down the row and level each weapon and bot to keep them even stevens or do you focus more on your favorite/most used bot? And once you purchase bots 6 and on, do you level that up to catch up with your others or do you focus on the others that you use more and really like?

Level weapons 1 level up first, then the bots.
I focus on the meta ones first and the fun ones later.

Humunculus, I find my favorite bot today may get benched in two weeks. So no, I focus on only leveling up the weapons I know I always use (3 Tarans, 4 Orkans, a Thunder, pair of mags, pair of pinatas, pair of aphids). Everything else is not going above 9 until I know I will use it regularly. I just dont have the silver to level it all. I have about seven bots at 9, and a Rhino at 8. Not really planning to bring any of those up any further until I have the weapons group to 10 or 11. Anyway, that's my strategy - bring a bunch of gear up to 9, then only my favorite weapons from there to 10 or 11, and then I plan to go back and level the bots that I use the most.

I've lvld up a lot of things until lvl 6 to find out what fit the best my playstyle, actually i'm focussing on the four bots that are in my main hangar, i'm near to have the all hangar at 7.5/7.5 then i will go for 8/8 and so mantaining bots and weapons on the same level, but usually weapon first. The main criteria i use for planning lvl up is to not waste time, so i lvl things in a way that is always something upgrading when i sleep, not wasting a single minute of time  |

I had my hanger at 6/9, was doing the weps before bots split. With the new MM etc.. I wanted to capitalize on getting all bots even at 9 and evaluate, 9 is the level where most bots max speed so it is a key level for bots.
Moving forward I reviewed stats (thanks petevb!), but also looked at my play style and role of each bot. I moved my 2 brawlers to lvl 10 and leveled some of their weps to 10, then started spreading the weapons upgrades around.
I run 4 main bots, rotate the 5th slot - which none are being leveled.
With league points / tiers, the ability to win and cause damage, are the keys to success. I would keep some balance to your hanger, but I think after level 9 bots, the best strategy for leveling will be more play style driven to get the max potential from you hanger.

I am currently in Android Gold I almost Diamond III. I have all my Bots & Weapons around 9/10 because I was unsure what to do when the new league system hit. I think my plan at this point will be to get the 5-7 Bots I plan to have on rotation to level 10 (only 2 left at 9) and then get my weapons up to 12 evenly across the board before finishing leveling my bots evenly since damage is king in this new environment. If I find that I am botting out too much I will stop leveling weapons and toughen up my bots. This might only be a good solution for me since I tend to play aggressive trying to break the enemy early and get ahead on damage done. Might not work for everyone but it has worked well for me in the new league set up. Even when my team loses I often still get + a few points for maximum effort.

Evenly. I was 6/8 when the new MM hit us. Now I'm 8/9, with lesser weapons still 8, meaning my tulus, tarans, orkans are 9s, but piñatas, magnums and pins are 8. Currently upgrading my tridents from 8 to 9. I'm going to upgrade my bots to 9 for max speed before upgrading my lesser weapons. Then greater weapons, meaning thunders, tridents, tulus, orkans and tarans to 10, before bots and finally lesser weapons.
