I won it and it sucks.
For the premium to acquire the Butch, it's an embarrassment to take onto the field. It's a big, slow target. The timing on the quick draw is not well thought out. Pix could improve on the current design easily by enhancing the timing and also allow the pilot to configure the arms with shields making it like a super Rhino. As it is your team mates will push you off a cliff. At least if you could put shields on it your team mates could use it as a protective wall.

Yeah, 4 treb butch is a tough opponent until you get close enough to shoot it....then it crumbles quickly. But that double shot of max trebs is painful.

I've got the Jesse, and it has the same problem... 4 aphids are nothing to sneeze at, but the thing seems to attract damage. It's fast but doesn't seem 64kph fast and can't change direction to save it's life... literally.

tried this, not that good. Treb Butch is a top tier setup. Disagree. Treb is pretty useless in top tier. Take a look at the Legend league, nobody use Treb Butch, well i don't even see any Trebs.

The problem is that you really can't buy one unless you spend your brains out with real money in events....you see a few but the dang things are just too fragile to be too widespread. On open maps, the Treb Butch hits hard but folds quickly. Plus you have to level up four trebs and that takes forever and a day and costs a ton. Just not worth it....

I agree with some of the comments above; it may not make it to the Legend league but I am in Diamond and two or three times I have been on the receiving end of well-piloted butch with 4 trebs and they can really hurt.
I got whooped by one on Yamantau who had his positioning perfect and he decimated us as we tried to reclaim the center. On Powerplant I got around half the HP on my Griff knocked off mid-way through my jump from the spawn point; and he then rubbed salt in the wound by hitting me with a series of little jabs until I could get to cover - I only had maybe a third of my HP left and I literally hadn't fired a shot!

Given their common availability and sales prices, I would keep it in case they fix it.

I don't get why you're all complaining. In Sniper oriented maps like Canyon, Springfield and Yamanatau, no ones escapes your guns. It's rather glorious in the past test server where they had it. Aphid Jesse is my favorite. While not top tier material, I want to add it to my light bot squad of Gareth and Stalker. Eventually, I hope to assemble 5 lights that can hold their own.

I think the thing that gets people bent about these bots isn't necessarily that they're bad... Jesse in particular wouldn't be bad for a 7500WP bot. The problem people have with them is that they are hyped to high heaven and held out as an ultra-premium bot that a lot of people went through a lot of trouble to get hold of, and they don't come close to living up to that.

My comments were more towards trebs being the top tier gear, not about Butch. There is a reason why there are much much more tridents than trebs in top tiers.

I've got Trebs and Zues on it. I will say it is fun (if I don't mind losing the battle)... up until my team mates try to (rightfully so) push me off of a cliff for not getting into the front line of battle. It would be a better bot for me and my team if I could put shields on two or all four arms to provide a wall for my team mates to take cover. Until then I'll use it to hang clothes on.

I hate to assume... but it may be that you are staying in it too long? Especially if your fellow blues feel the need to push you off a cliff. Unless I am specifically running a test about a particular LR build and therefore need to stay in it as much as possible, I only drop into a LR bot when a TT or TZ Fury on the Red side is shutting down something, or if one of their snipers are doing the same thing to us. So, specific needs dictate the use of that bot. Maybe just try not to use it until it is absolutely needed. Then eject asap to get back into a bot that can push the front line forward. If my assumption is off base, I apologize. Oh, and yeah, if it were me... I'd have 4 of each weapon to get the most out of it. 4 Zeus in a short amount of time, or 4 Trebs, are devastating. Jesse and Doc can do OK using more than one weapon type, but I feel Butch needs that edge of the "alpha strike" to be worth a damn. At least, put on some leveled Nashorns on one set and Trebs on the other. Be a sniper or be a midranger, being both makes you a crappy Carny with no Ancile or Rush. IMO YMMV.

Actually it seems to be a prejudice thing at the beginning of the battle. In general most people don't like sniper bots. Can't say I do either if everyone else on my team is using one at the same time while I'm out trying to score beacons. I always feel like I wanna desert and defect when the match starts and I see two Natasha and a Fury on my team straight in the beginning.

You cannot put any sort of defensive item on the swap bots.

Forces me to play really defensively.

It can only be purchased at select time for an unreasonable amount of Au! If you were around for the last few updates on bots they have gone back and buffed some old bots Natasha, Leo etc... you never know It costs nothing to keep but the price to replace is not within reason. The best item I won was a Gareth - I would never buy one, but I will never sell it either. I run a heavy hanger in Diamond but I pull it out for occasional light bot tasks and variety.

I rolled a Butch in the last event and I really like it with four Tridents. The weapon reload and switch cool down synch well even if you don't stagger the sequence. It's never the first bot I drop and rarely the second but when I do I'm glad I have it.

I see the Butch, Carnage, and Raijin as gaining the largest benefit from the new heavy weapon - the Protolot (that Pix said was coming). All 3 will kill a tri-Protolot Fury in a 1-vs-1 fairy easily and all other mid-range setups too (except maybe a Protolot/Molot Mk2 Lancelot). The Protolot last had an unload time of 10-15 seconds (it was part of the original gun buff tested last year) I believe and a 10 second reload. The Butch QuickDraw cooldown works well with 2 Protolots and 2 other Protolots or even 2 Trebuchets - and you would have a formidable and flexible mid-long range cannon platform that should should be good on all maps.
