After a discussion and decisive vote, members of the Iron Order have decided to acknowledge the Griffin for its versatility, awesomeness and reliability.

Can wait till the god bot gets here. Mijapi will be happy to get heat off of the Gareth. Griffin lovers will love that too as will stop the nerf the Griffin posts.

+1 on the love for the Griffin - they are my favorite bot after the pre-nerf version of the gep. Affordable, flexible, and useful....what more could you want?

I recently put a Stuka Griff back in my hangar, after not running any kind of Griff for a long time... and damn if I wasn't cussing myself for not doing it sooner.
I don't know if the game was a fluke, or if I have gotten that much better at the game on a whole since I last ran a Griff with serious intent, but man I cleaned up on PP. The Aphids were sort of lack luster, bc there is so much cover there and there were several light bots, although I did keep getting great hits on the Reds that kept getting the beacon at the choke-point next to the bay with the beacon by the shipwreck. As soon as I would see that beacon blink I'd turn towards it and start lobbing aphids. That worked well... but unless the enemy was in the open, if they were anywhere else but that choke-point, the Aphids kept hitting the maze of structures, not the bots. BUT it did keep their heads down more... so there's that. Anyway... I just keep getting great firing lines on folk and would then light them up with the Orks with or without Aphids. It was a 600k damage match for me (was quick or it would have been higher damage for sure... I don't think any player meched out b4 it ended), the Griff prolly netted me 400k of that. Was a nice, pleasant surprise. Go Griff!

I meant the bots. There are currently no drawbacks of using midrange splash. And how many long ranged weapons do you see nowadays?

Sequence firing those aphids is bad 「bum-bum」 against shield bots. Sometimes the missiles get through the shield. In any case it annoys the shield bot to death forcing an engagement in your favor.

Weren't you talking about Tridents, Pins, and Tulus? and actually, it is very rare that I don't see either a Carny or a Natty or a Fury with trebs... not to mention Zeus... Zeus is the RDB Griffs most direct counter... I swat em like flies when I'm running Zeus on a Carny.

What do you mean it isn't a Stuka? was it spelling or the bot that I used it on... bc I have seen the Aphid Ork referred to as the Stuka for quite a while now... And yes I know it was originally a German WW2 Dive bomber, best known for its use in the Blitzkrieg attacks that opened the war and the Sirens attached to the wheel wells that gave it a scream as it dived at its target to instill fear...

The only bots that can counter it are other midrangers or Trebs.

You forgot these: GEKKO, Hydras, Spirals. Look, I'm not joking. The only thing to counter Tridents, Pins and Tulumbas is the Ancile. Even if the ancile was the only counter, so what? If you want to specifically counter those weapons, you better be using one. Are you wishing there was a counter to those weapons that's also good against everything else? That's just asking for something overpowered. Everything in this game currenty has a counter. Some of those counters have drawbacks in other situations. But don't complain about the thing when there's a counter available, just because that counter doesn't cater to your play style. I would guess you prefer knife fighting. The RDB and Tridents are the counters to you. While they're using those, they can't do much to ancile bots, or to trebuchets. That's their counter. And trebuchets can do much to shield bots. That's their counter. It goes round and round. People just get upset when there is a counter to what they specifically want to be able to do, and then they blame that counter for making them play differently.

The Ancile is the ONLY effective counter to it. Take Orkans for example. Ancile counters it. But so does any bot that can run faster than 45 km/h.

Your problem with those is that they aren't your favorite. A Molot Griffin can take out trident Furies all day. They just can't do a whole lot more than that. And too many people get upset about that. If you want to counter one specific thing, chances are that counter won't be that great at anything else. That's how it should be when you're singling out one specific bot or weapon that you want to counter.

It's OP must be nerfed immediately. ^^^ The most overpowered weapons in this game are the Trident, Pin and Tulumbas. Tulumbus has a stupid long reload time making it no where near OP. The RDB Griff has less DPM and range not to mention a much smaller blast radius than a TT Fury.
